for some reason i got mad self conscious and didn't want yall to have itso i stopped promoting it (i do it all myself) after the actual hard copies of the CD sold out!
yeah i know weird!!
but someone smacked some sense into me...and i just wanna

and the worst part... everytime i try to file a complain?

Hey guys...
I just wanted to officially let you know that i'm not attending Hip Hop Kemp this year. I thought i might as well post it on here as i can't reply to everyone who keeps asking me on myspace, facebook, and email...etc if i'm coming or not!
You might've realized it already...
But i still I wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making my every HHK experience an amazing memorable one. The love you've shared and support you've shown me through out the years has been out of this world!! You've been truly amazing! Especially last year, for my first ever stage, the UNITY stage. This was a dream come true for me, and i appreciate the loyalty and love u showed me!! HHK was for me, the highlight of the year, I even renamed it Hip Hop Heaven and i felt like every time HHK grew, i grew with it...so of course i'm sad to announce that it might've been my last year.
It's a shame
i know...
but please note that it was not my choice...
and I take comfort in the fact that i have a life time worth of memories, which i will always hold dear
The energy we created was legendary...and i'm glad to have been part of it....

I met Juice about 10 years ago, on my first ever trip to London, i was young & innocent back then haha...but yes i met him and his whole crew New Flesh For Old, around the same time i met Vadim, Roots Manuva, Killa Kela, Ty, Task Force, Skinny man etc...and fell in love with his energy. I remember sitting backstage at a show, rapping this poor guys ear off...endlessly talking about hip hop. he thought i was funny, and somehow warmed to me. Years passed and our paths kept crossing, as my profile grew. And now he invited that young girl from back then, to rock alongside him as he launches his solo record!! Obviously i said YES!!

Last sunday me and my crew, which consisted of Dj Vadim, Lil Ste Keyz, Pugs Atomz, Paz and myself... took over the streets of Brick Lane in London... Guerilla styleeee!! armed with our own sound system, two mics, a keyboard, and of course our impeccable styles lol..... we serenaded the good folks of East London.
I looove to do this kinda thing. It's so refreshing. inspiring. and i love the fact that you are performing for people who might not have a clue who you are, so you are kinda on a mission to win them over to your side. Like you're recruiting your souljahs of love & light!
Plus the crowds keep changing! so it's all always new faces you're rockin for, which keeps you on your toes u know.
And you can see the excitement in peoples eyes even before you start...they are gathering. And once we set it off...it's on!! the party starts...right there on the streets. i get lost in it. i could be performing in an arena for all i know.
It's a challenge. And i love it!

The amazing homey Paz once again documented our adventures. Loving his photos! And so did the fresh looking Markus that could be hiding a rabbit in his hat, who i met years ago in london when he took a picture of me outside of Plastic People, not knowing who i was, but later found me on the internet haha... and followed my moves till i saw him again on Brick Lane...which was pure bliss. He got so involved and literally filmed our whole busking session on his iphone! His photos are dope too!!

After the session, i disappeared into the night...yeah i've mastered the power of vanishing into thin air haha...anyways i saw the movie Antichrist...A film by the man who said "Basically, I'm afraid of everything in life, except filmmaking." which is kinda disturbing in itself. But i dig Lars von Tries, and the movie was shot beautifully... but there were some scenes that made me almost walk out. almost. ouch!!

Been going to the movies a lot lately, Harry potter almost made me fall asleep booo. transformers was a lil disappointing since i thought the first one kicked ass, the hangover was a funny movie though. Bruno was mental, not as good as borat in my opinion. i loved Milk, sean penn is the fuckin man. i want to see the new audrey tatou film sooo bad...love her!! And the new Almodovar!! ohweee.... Anyways...this post ain't about movies hahaah it was about busking...so yeah! be spontaneous and bust a move or a groove on the street yall...it takes one person to start a party ; )

...And we landed safely in our Mothership in the middle of Hoxton!!
Here are some photos courtesy of Paz (my fave photographer at the moment) and the homey Chasney. They've truly captured the essence of last weeks shenanigans... When me and my girl DJ That Fucking Sara tore the house down at Hoxton Loft Society in da London town...
The Vibez TV crew came down to interview us and film the show. My girls were in the house styling it. The boys were looking cute. The bar was emptied...and the moves were on!! True house party style.
My outfit was Grace Jones / Sun Ra inspired... hope i made them proud and hope ya dig it ; ) Oh yeah i am wearing a dress on my head by the way...haha i can turn anything into anything i been told...a bit of last minute sewing and safety pinning it before rocking is always a good look!!
Oh yeah my homey Ranx bought a bus ....haha ...a double decker...which was just standing back stage chillin... now that's fly...always been a dream...turn that ish into a portable sound system and blast through europe!!
