The pages are easy to set up! Simply visit  www.firstgiving.com/starlight, and First Giving will walk you through the process. You'll see, the possibilities are endless:

1) Commit time and energy - run a marathon, participate in a tournament, set up a lemonade stand
2) Help raise money - initiate a giving challenge with your friends, have friends make donations in lieu of gifts for your birthday, bar mitzvah or wedding
3) Make a personal pledge

Once you choose how you'd like to show your support, First Giving provides all the tools you need to build your page. You can even add your favorite YouTube video, or post pictures from your Flickr account.

However you choose to show your support, your First Giving web page will help Starlight raise funds and awareness that will make a real difference in the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

To kick off this new fundraising initiative, Starlight is offering a special incentive during the month of February. Starting today, and continuing until Feb. 29, the individual who raises the most money over $1,000 through his or her site will receive two tickets to Starlight's 2008 A Stellar Night gala at the famous Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, March 28. This year, the star-studded gala will be hosted by the phenomenal Corbin Bleu of High School Musical and will honor William and Elizabeth Shatner with the Heart of Gold Award and Francine R. Kaufman, M.D., renowned expert on diabetes, with the Jacki Carlish Humanitarian Award.

So, encourage your friends and family members to join you in improving the lives of sick children and their families by contributing money in your honor. Colgate-Palmolive and Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation have teamed up this year to help children with Sickle Cell Disease and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation. By providing hospitals with Starlight's Fun Centers, mobile entertainment units for kids to play video games and watch movies anywhere in the hospital setting, seriously ill children can forget about their illnesses for a moment and remember how to have fun.

In Texas -- the bigger, the better.  With this motto, Royal Caribbean plans on making a big splash not only on the Port of Galveston, but also on eBay, as part of an online auction benefiting Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation. The 138,000 ton ship, known as the Voyager of the Sea, will push off from the Texas shore armed with the world's largest set of longhorns (think 140 feet long and 600 pounds -- literally attached to the ship) and will sail for seven nights visiting the Caribbean, South America, and Mexico through April 2008.

Currently up for grabs on eBay are two seats onboard the cruise, as well as the actual longhorns that are attached to the ship, making some lucky eBay winner the proud owner of the largest set of longhorns ever created.
