it might b the least attractive place i'v been in india up 2 now: palaces, havelis & musems r smaller, pale.

but another thing glows: there i eyesighted the Gangaur festival! it's part of their celebration 2 the indian new yr! i'll tell u the details later.

& also the breathtaking sunset!

Jodhpur, is famous 4 its blue old city - most of the houses r painted blue under the grand background of the rocktop fort.

yes, it's the dive into the blue:

in the old blue city, there'r crowded traffic & various shops -u can buy anything!

yes, time 4 the Jaisalmer, the city i like most 4 the couple of dayz stay in india.

u can't imagine the massive splendid fort was biult 850yrs ago.

i had a fort view room, only Rs250 per night.  so i can enjoy the fort view even @ night.

& the haveli(rich ppl's exquisite houses)

interestingly, jain ppl r the jawish of indians: they only represent 1% of population, but most of the rich ppl r jain!

Jaisalmer, a desert town close 2 Pakistan, famous 4 its 850yrs golden fort.

i started the stay @ a small desert village KHURI, 43 kms away from Jaisalmer. That's Mar.16 night, i had the camel safari there.

riding on the camel, led by the camel man, we set out 2 the desert(it's not so barren, there'r some desert plants) @ 5pm. interesting trip: camp outside on the sand dunes, though u can't wash ur face! but it's worth leaving ur face dirty, since u can enjoy the sunset & sunrise. & the stars @ night!

this is our camp:

i jus slept there - on the ground. feel like a vagrant? but trust me, though the bed(actually the sand groud) is not soft, but u would all asleep w/ so many stars in the sky: twinkling twinkling stars. i felt i'm melting into the sky.

As 4 the village, small, short of water. but ppl paint there house in bright color 2 fight against the barren endless yellow tune of the desert.

Mama: yi qie hen hao. chu le hao jiu shi hao, haha. kan kan wo de xin zhao pian:

& 2 my friends: pls do me a favor - do not send me sms only w/ "how r u". i'v sent batches of sms w/ the same content - jus doing kinda report, haha.

it's not saying don send me sms. what i'm expecting from u guys r the sms telling me happenings, interesting or not, in shanghai. i really do want 2 hear from u. i need 2 talk, not report.

after all india is amazing. if u can bear dirty scenes, it's really a unforgettable place u shld visit.
