Always believe the hype...

Sex Donkey will return for anyone wondering/asking/praying.

As we understand it, Edge Radio is to come under new management and we're unsure when we'll be make our triumphant return.

We may however be hosting an evening during Freshers Week if we have been informed rightly.

If we are, we'll let you know. If we are, come down, have drinks, have giggles, have some sex, have some donkey, have some lust for life.

For now, adieu...

...we will be back

Sex Donkey & Associated Cohorts

"the words you scribbled on the walls..."

Friday, June 08, 2007

Well that's it for now, Sex Donkey (along with all the other great shows on Edge Radio) is officially off the air. We will return in the new academic year with just as many introverted and sexually confused songs for you to wet your knickers to. And possibly an extended name if Dan would stop being so cynical.

A big kiss to everyone who tuned in and sent e-mails, you all made it fun to know people were listening.

So, we'll see you in a few months, and you'll hear us in a few months. Tell your friends, family and loved ones.

You. Love. Us.

Well what a show! Something to make everyone laugh, cry even wet yourselves slightly!

Tis a pity that no one could hear it...

Due to a technical hitch the server that would connect everyones music players (iTunes, Real, Windows Media etc) was absolutely not fucking working.

Sex Donkey apologises and has many a conspiracy theory on the go. However, we'll be back next week, with a working server.

Fingers crossed.

Yours truly,

Second show and regular slot details are in kids. Sex Donkey (still...) will be on Edge Radio from 7pm til 9pm on Monday, every Monday.

And this time hopefully they'll have a playlist that gives them the names.

Name check. And we'll have a list of songs that we'll play on the night.

Merci.

Toby and Dan x

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

The first show. Oh the first show. You lucky people.

After a rather sudden shift switch, Sex Donkey (yes, really) were on from 7pm til 8pm on Monday 16th April 2007. Fuck yes kids, first night first blood first thrust into airwave supremacy.

It was a bit of a shambles really but we managed. Dan held his own for a decent portion while Toby was stuck on the toll road in traffic. And he handled it like a motherfucker, with some silent support from Ms M Smith, despite the lack of song names/albums/years/information. Toby made a brief appereance to utter some choice words and insults but really, this was Dan's show. What a trooper.

And so...the playlist...?

As mentioned, we didn't know what was being played. We had to guess, hoping that whatever was being played had a really fucking long introduction. Songs that are remembered are "PCP" by Manic Street Preachers (The Holy Bible), "Hunting For Witches" by Bloc Party (Weekend In The City) "Brianstorm" by Arctic Monkeys (The new album), "Thank's For The Memories" by Fall Out Boy (Infinity On High), "Animal Nitrate" by Suede (Suede) and a whole host of other lovely jubbly tunes. We think "Lust For Life" was battered across at some point.

And so we wait in sticky anticipation for the next show, and a regular slot. Kudos to everyone who has put on a show since the 16th and beyond.

And remember.

You. Love. Us.

Toby and Dan x

Thursday, April 12, 2007

So, it starts. The very first Dan and Toby Sex and Treacle. A full playlist will be posted as soon as possible, most probably after the show. We wanna leave some sort of mystery.

At the moment it seems that Dan may be doing this one on his own. Because Toby's a massive knob who's got stuck in London again and can't get back in time.

Maybe.

We'll have to see how it all works out. Hope whoever listens will enjoy it.
