Even if you don't vote or pray, there is still plenty left worth fighting for. Think about that. With all the invective about "blood for oil", we are not only justified in going to war - we were obligated to do it - and to do it in every place on this earth that ever poses a threat to the American way of life. It isn't blood for oil. It's blood for freedom - the blood of our heroes. We owe it to them... and we owe it to our children. Period. We are lucky to live in the United States of America - and this privilege didn't come cheap. Our Founding Fathers were not cowards. They made immense sacrifices to establish this Great Nation in freedom - not the least of which was going to war with the enemy of that freedom. All of those who have fought in the subsequent wars and conflicts and those who are fighting today have continued to make sacrifices in order to defend those original ideals. Even now, our civil servants, particularly Firefighters and Police, are making sacrifices to maintain the quality of our lives in this freedom. If you are not willing to do everything in your power to defend this Great Nation, even taking up arms if it is necessary, then who will? If you will not defend America, that is your choice - but sit in silence and do not criticize those brave and valiant individuals who have the sense of duty, the measure of courage and the determination of heart to protect America... and, I might add, your cowardly soul.

TODAY IT HAS BEEN 5 YRS. SINCE MY DAD PASSED AWAY.
I DON'T HAVE MANY STORIES OF THE WAR FROM HIM BECAUSE IT WAS VERY HARD FOR HIM TO TALK ABOUT.
DURING WWII MY DAD WAS IN THE ARMY AND WAS SENT INTO SICILY TO BATTLE. WHEN THEY BEACHED THERE THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY HIT BY ENEMY FIRE AND AS THEY MADE THEIR WAY UP TO BATTLE MEN WERE FALLING, WOUNDED AND DYING. MY DAD SAID THEY WERE GOING OVER DEAD BODIES AND THE WATER WAS AS IF IT WAS BLOOD, ALL RED. TO HIS DYING DAY MY DAD DID NOT LIKE THE COLOR RED.
MY DAD WAS SHOT IN THE LEG AND SUFFERED SCRAPNEL ALSO TO HIS LEGS. SOMEHOW HE MANAGED TO PULL HIMSELF AND A SEVERELY WOUNDED FRIEND UP AGAINST A TREE THERE. THEY FOUND THEMSELVES ALONE THERE BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN LEFT FOR DEAD AND THEIR FELLOW COMRADES HAD WENT ON TO BATTLE.
HE SAID IT WAS SO COLD AND KNEW HIS FRIEND WASN'T GOING TO MAKE IT BUT HE CHOSE TO STAY WITH HIS FRIEND AND NOT LEAVE HIM TO DIE ALONE. SO THERE THEY BOTH SAT AND MY DAD KEPT TALKING TO HIM HOPING THEY WOULD BE RESCUED BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED. AS NIGHT FELL HIS FRIENDS BREATHING BECAME VERY ERATIC. DAD ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THAT HE COULD DO TO MAKE HIM COMFORTABLE AND HIS FRIEND ASKED HIM TO SING. MY DAD SAYS THAT HIS MIND WAS SO FAR THAT THE ONLY SONG HE COULD THINK OF WAS "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE" SO HE SANG THIS TO HIS FRIEND WHO DREW HIS LAST BREATH THERE AS HE SANG TO HIM. MY DAD CRAWLED BACK TO THE BEACH WHERE HE WAS FINALLY RESCUED THE NEXT DAY.

HOME-
MY DAD SUFFERED A STROKE ON APRIL 1ST 2003 THAT LEFT HIM BEDRIDDEN, HE WAS 83 YRS. OLD. HIS BIRTHDAY WAS APRIL 19TH AND THEN HE TURNED 84 THAT MONTH. HE WAS UNABLE TO EAT SO WE SIGNED THE HOSPITAL PAPERS TO PUT FEEDING TUBES IN BUT HIS FEEBLE BODY REJECTED THE FEEDING TUBE. SO MY DAD JUST STARTED DWINDLEING DOWN TO NOTHING. IT WAS SO HARD TO WATCH HIM DIE OF STARVATION.
WE BROUGHT HIM HOME AND HAD HOSPICE COME IN TO HELP TAKE CARE OF HIM.
ON MAY 3RD, EARLY THAT MORNING HIS BREATHING BECAME VERY SHALLOW AND WE KNEW HE WOULD BE GOING WITH THE ANGELS SOON. MY BROTHERS,SISTERS, GRANDCHILDREN, MOM AND I CAME TO HIS BEDSIDE AND SANG "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE TO HIM AND HE TOOK A LONG BREATH AND HIS LONG STRUGGLE CAME TO AN END THAT DAY IN MAY.
DADDY, WE MISS YOU, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A HERO IN OUR EYES,WE LOVE YOU!
WE ALSO MADE SURE THERE WERE NO RED FLOWERS BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT YOU WOULD NOT HAVE LIKED THEM.

HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL WHEN ONE OF OUR SOLDIERS DIES ON THE BATTLE FIELD FEELING LET DOWN AND UNSUPPORTED BY OUR CONGRESS AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE? TO BRAKE DOWN AND BEG FOR SUPPORT THAT NEVER CAME BECAUSE OUR CONGRESS IS TOO SELFISH AND INTO THEIR OWN LITTLE WORLD TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THOSE THAT FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM.

THE GREATEST THREAT TO AMERICA IS TERRORISM. OUR BRAVE YOUNG SOLDIERS LOVE AMERICA AND ARE FIGHTING FOR US TO KEEP THE FREEDOMS WE ENJOY TODAY. HAS OUR CONGRESS SHOWED THEM GRATITUDE OR HAVE THEY JUST FORGOTTEN?

WHERE DID OUR TREASON LAWS GO TO? WE ARE AT WAR!

OUR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE NANCY PELOSI EVEN THREW ON A BURKA AND WENT TO CONSORT WITH THE ENEMY AGAINST PRESIDENTS ORDER. ARE OUR POLITICIANS ABOVE THE LAW?

IN OUR NEXT ELECTION CAN AMERICA PULL TOGETHER AND UNSEAT THOSE DEMOCRATS LIKE PELOSI AND MURTHA WHO ARE DESTROYING OUR AMERICAN VALUES AND WHAT OUR SOLDIERS ARE FIGHTING FOR? OR DO WE WANT A PANSYASS PRESIDENT WITH NO BACKBONE THAT WILL MAKE DEALS WITH THOSE WHO SUPPORT TERROR?

I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it....... Some powerful words.

Written by a housewife from New Jersey. This is one ticked off lady and I commend her.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?..Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia .

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:
