PULSE: http://soundscapes.us/pulse
=======================================================================
PULSE plays at the level of a tribute band without specializing on any
one band. This is no mean feat! This high caliber Classic Rock band
plays the music of Steely Dan, Santana, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Moody
Blues, Jethro Tull, Blues Brothers, Beatles, and other top shelf
groups. The group includes Greg Van Allen (guitars and vocals), Rod
Gilkeson (vocals), Bob Ashmore (Keyboards), Bill Fox (bass and vocals),
and Billy Fenstermacher (drums and vocals).

Having a party? Hire Pulse to play and your friends will talk about
your party for months to come.

On Tuesday, July 21, Pulse will play at the Maingate in Allentown.
Although it's their Bike Night, you don't need one in order to enjoy
the best in Classic Rock. You KNOW that Pulse plays different songs
than all the other bands in the area. So come on out for a rare treat.

Dear Friends,

WDIY is in need of your help now more than ever. Please read the following from Sharon McCarthy and then, most importantly, take action today. As many of you know, I've hosted Galactic Travels at WDIY since 1997 and have been volunteering there since 1995. Therefore, I feel very strongly that WDIY should be sustained. If you listen to Galactic Travels or any of the other fine programming on WDIY, I urge you to make a tax deductible contribution today. Call 610-759-8810 before 9 pm or make a secure, on-line pledge at http://wdiy.org/pledge 24/7.

Thank you,

Bill

==========

Wednesday is Earth Day 2009.
This year as you celebrate, I invite you to do something tangible - something to make a real difference, right here in OUR community. Consider doing something important and memorable that will help sustain our local park system for future generations.

If your membership is due for renewal, pledge support of WDIY at the $88.10 level (Frequency Membership) and two trees will be planted in your name in the new "WDIY Grove," located along the Lehigh Creek in the Cedar Beach Parkway. If you are a current member, perhaps you are able to make an extra gift.

The trees will be two-foot tall, staked, protectively wrapped and be a mix of PA-Native Pines and Deciduous species. Signage will be placed at the site and list all the dedications.

WDIY has a goal to raise $40,000 by this Saturday. It is critical to the station's financial stability to make up shortfalls created by a 35% in business underwriting support. We reach out to you, our current members. YOU can help! Be part of our MEMBER-GET-A-MEMBER program. Talk to your friends; send out a message through your Facebook or Twitter page. Tell everyone that YOU proudly SUPPORT local, INDEPENDENT Community Public Radio and then invite them to join you!!

The new "WDIY Grove" will be planted on a day TBD this fall. Wouldn't it be wonderful to join your friends and family to plant trees you've dedicated that will grow and prosper for years to come? Perhaps you can dedicate trees to your children or in memory of a loved one.

Help sustain our environment by making our local park a bit greener as you help sustain the region's only community public radio station.

Call WDIY’s pledge central at 610-758-8810 OR click on the secure links below for all the membership levels.

THANK YOU so very much and let’s all hug a tree this Wednesday!

Sincerely,
Sharon McCarthy
WDIY Development Director
