... Its because we are not really going anymore. We haven't played since 2007 and haven't practiced for even longer. We keep toying with the idea of getting back together and doing one last CD as we have some songs we never recorded and only played a hand full of times. We also toyed with the idea of playing a final gig or something - but knowing our popularity it will be to the same 3 people we always play to... I'm not bitter about that - we play music that is not popular and its the problem that you face by doing so. Whether we do any of those things has not been decided yet and if we do then I will let you know but I wouldn't hold your breath.

You might be asking what is happening next - the short answer is I don't know. Lee is currently playing in an Indie band called Chav Diaspora and is moving down london to be a session drummer (as he is the fucking best drummer I have ever seen) - Me and chadz are looking at starting a new band with ex members of the superficial heroes but for the time being I am making tracks in my bedroom and uploading them to my soundclick page - i think it's http://www. soundclick. com/dannyhewittmusic.

I'm not gonna give up some giant heavy hearted diatribe about how we grew apart and how it sucks, because that is obvious. We haven't broken up, we're not on hiatus and we're not currently practicing or playing, I don't know what we are but at-least we always did what we wanted, never followed trends and always had a laugh.

Just figured that this explanation is better than falling off the face of the planet without mention at all.

As it is the season of goodwill on earth, we decided that the timing is just about right for us to do something nice for all our hardcore fans. We have just uploaded a brand new downloadable track called "The Twelve Days Of Christmas"

Feel free to download it, add it to your page and give it your mates!

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Hello all,

How are we all feeling today? I hope its awesome!

I am posting this bulletin to you lovely people on the 5FD friends list to let you all know about how generous we actually are! As you know, we as a band are very fans orientated, everything we do we do it with you lovely people in mind. You guys mean a lot to us and every now and then we get the urge to give something back to you. This is one of those times...

Earlier this year we self released our first CD in over 4 years. It was called "Bands should be heard, not scene" and featured 7 of our most blistering tracks to date. When we released the CD we only ran a small print number because:

A) we are all poor and needed to keep costs at a minimum.
B) To make the copies rarer and therefor much cooler.

So if you do have one the now "Limited edition" CD's then hold on to it as it will CERTAINLY become a collectors item... honest! If you didn't have the chance to grab a copy then you have missed out.

UNTIL NOW!!!

We have just made the full EP available as a free download from our website. If you visit www.5fd.co.uk and make your way to the music page, you will find the downloads section at the bottom of the screen.

So there you go, 7 tracks of blistering punk rock given as a simple gift of gratitude from us to you. Having these songs on your iPod will instantly make you sexier and more popular* so what have you got to lose? Get it downloaded and tell your mates!

Thanks loads guys, You all rock!

Dan!

We have just confirmed a gig with Sheffield based experimental promotions company "Digital Corruption" Who offer nights of Audio Visual entertainment. More details will be confirmed as soon as we know em, but until then all we have is a date which is 29-NOV-07 at the Shakespere in Sheffield. The shakespere is apparently a new venue on Trippett lane, which is the street where the grapes is. It is just off of west street in sheffield. If you need any help sorting directions out give us a shout.

We have had a good week really:

Wednesday - Grapes in Sheffield:
Thanks to everyone that came out to the gig, it is awesome and we really appreciate it. The other bands were awesome and I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. We will have to do it again for sure!

Friday - Doncaster College Freshers night:
Was really good fun, Thanks to Kate for putting us on and James Kerr for sorting everything out! Also thanks to Chavy D, team Chapman and Hudson for also being awesome!

Today - Treeton Fun Day:
This was a disaster but was funny, I have completely lost my voice so lee had to take over vocal duties, meaning alot of the songs were improvised and we managed to get away with it... Just about! Good job nobody was watching really!

As soome of you may, or may not know, we had a gig booked next week in Sheffield. After speaking to Lee this morning he has the mumps and will not be able to play this show. We are abviously really gutted about this gig because we were really looking forward to playing again!

But as they say in showbusiness, the show must go on!

The gig on Wednesday 26th September is still going ahead, just with a different band instead of us playing. See the poster in our pictures for more details on the venue and such. All at Stake and A Short History Of Everything will still be playing!!! so all the more reason to still go!

We now have to find another band to take our place on the line up! So if you are interested, drop me a line!

More news when we have it! If you feel like wishing lee well, visit his myspace page... it's in our top friends!

I'm not sure what has happened here, as far as I know we were supposed to be playing Under the Boardwalk inn Sheffield on this date and has been confirmed for ages. Can't remember who the promoter was though so I went to check the site and the site lists a bunch of black metal bands so I highly doubt we will be playing... Sorry for anyone who was planning on making the trip.
