Yes, we get it thanks! "He's just not that into you"...clear as day. I've found recently you can apply this same theory to platonic friendships. I stress the platonic in plantonic friendships. Have you ever had the realisation of "she's just not that into me"? For weeks, months or maybe even years have you lamented over why: - a certain friend is really vague and disorganised and never seems to reply to your messages yet seems able to catch up with other friends -ever since they had their boyfriend, friendships just weren't well maintained -when you do catch up with them half the time it is a random bumped into you sort of thing -you've actually organised a catch up but then they fail to turn up, completely forgetting about the aforementioned arragement and never making it up to you -you can't remember the last time they called you -of their own accord, they've invited you out once, in the last year -they cancel half the things they agree to do due to a variety of reasons -you end up feeling paranoid at times and wonder if their reasons are actually excuses because they really can't be bothered
All this, when you have a great time hanging out and used to spend a lot of time with them? And despite the fact that you really value the friendship and they say they enjoy being around you? Is it that life is just really busy these days? Are you simply too high maintenance? Why is it that you can make the effort and they seem almost incapacitated by their relationships/jobs/other committments? Even though they aren't so organised, have you really just made too many excuses for them? Is this person just really below average at being a friend, compared to you, you friend god?! Talk about mixed messages! No wonder you're confused!
When does someone become and "old mate" and cease to be a "good friend". Is there a certain amount of time between each contact that changes it from one category to another?
If someone has neglected you in the past and then wanted to "rekindle" the friendship, have you found yourself angry that they only make time for you when it suits them?
At the end of the day it's easy to say "appreciate and enjoy things for what they are" but it can be a tad hard to swallow when people leave you feeling like you are unimportant to them.
Let's face it, if you identify with this situation, then you're probably a good friend to have, who knows what is important in life. Yes, that's right, your friends are important! Men do come and go, your girlfriends are your real friends and are the ones who will be there through thick and thin. So make the time and don't neglect them, because otherwise when you do eventually need them, you'll turn around only to find that there is no-one left standing. Don't be a case of "she's just not that into you". | ..

Current mood:Thinking about thinking
Hey folks, Lately a few people have deleted myspace without giving their email out, which can make communication a bit difficult, so if you're going to delete it, message your email first. I am probably going to do this myself, I am currently thinking about thinking about making a decision about deleting it myself...stay tuned! lol...

Current mood:I will survive, hey, hey.
..
|
After a long day at work, I come home for about four seconds only to head out again to soccer training for a couple of hours, I finally arrive home for the evening at around 8:45pm. Cue, sigh.
But wait, all is not as it seems, with one quick glance around the kitchen I am disturbed by what I see. The remains of a chicken and chips meal-a favourite amongst the Galt men- remain scattered across not one but two chopping boards, and the boys have left but a handful of chips for my hungry belly. That is nice *forced smile*.
After taking a quick shower I head back to the kitchen and decide to steam some veggies, boil an egg and toast some bread, I am aiming to be eating something of some nutritional value, preferably before the strike of midnight, and time is on my side... so far. Stay tuned...
... Meanwhile Dad, a friend of his, and Jez have arrived home from the shops. I comment "this is just so wrong" response "what is" me again "the salmonella you have brewing in the kitchen" vague response "hmm". When Dad's friend leaves I say "can you please clean up the salmonella situation you've got going on" like the kitchen nazi I am. Always true to form, like any good nazi. He appears to do something in the kitchen, as he leaves I notice that the second board wasn't even touched, I reign him back in to clean that one.
Then I notice the other chopping board isn't clean, instead the chicken bits are now smeared across the middle of the board, lol, what the, so of course, I comment that the board isn't cleaned properly to which I get one of those *I've just SNAPPED* responses "if you want it done that badly do it yourself!" *slams door* oooooook if I knew you were going to like basically not do it maybe I would have done it myself. Sometimes I am truly the only real man in this house! To add to this confusion I just happen to watch sport on tv, play team sports and ride a motorbike, does anyone else think I could have been a male in a past life?? hahaha...
Anyhow back to the injustices of life...whinge whinge whinge, moan moan moan, grumble grumble grumble, I think that about does it. Evening all. | ..

I know we're all sick of hearing about the olympics, but this caught my attention, other "stuff" that actually cost more than the olympics, you'd be suprised what some of them are!
