I found this really neat site online today, while "stumbling" around... Okay, it’s like YouTube, but better...You can have your own live broadcast show! You get put on different channels according to the type show you are going to create, it shows what is live now! I mean, as we speak... I just thought this was pretty ingenious...it’s not just videos, although you can see previously recorded shows as well, you can have a live show! There is a list of regularly syndicated shows too, so you can see what is upcoming too, to plan your schedule... ;) You can search people on the network too. So, if you’re into watching live tv on the net, or creating your own show that millions of people could watch, check out BlogTV.com. I thought it was pretty darn cool! *** I hope you enjoyed this installment of my blog! Until next time... I Am Me, Kimberly Edwards :) P.S. Add me as a friend on Stumble Upon.

Just wanted to impart some words of wisdom today that I have been pondering... "BE KINDER THAN NECESSARY, For Everyone You Meet Is Fighting Some Kind Of Battle." ~ Unknown You have no idea what someone is dealing with in their life...behind their strong face. They may just be bottling it up inside. If you had any clue what any particular person is feeling, you may just be a little nicer, a little more helpful, a little more tender in your actions. You have no idea just what a smile, a kind word, holding a door open for someone...any pleasant gesture...may do for someone’s morale that day! You might just help them keep their sanity that day...and actually put a smile on their face, so that they can cope! Just some food for thought today! Live Joyfully, Kimberly Edwards :) P.S. Add me as a friend on Stumble Upon :D

Through the Eyes of Kimberly Edwards: I was speaking with one of my friends today that I went to school with in Toronto when I was in 8th Grade...and it reminded me that there was a Fashion School at Seneca College...(I attended a Gymnastics Program for the Canadian National Team). I remember being in fashion shows that they called upon the athletes to be models in...What a blast, and some really talented students showed off their stylish creations. It got me thinking about a few of my other friends that actually went to fashion school in New York and how much they loved it! A few are clothing designers now and seem to be loving what they do. It's exciting to think that one day, I may wear clothing designed by my friends. Amazing! In thinking about it, New York fashion schools would put you right in the middle of all the hubub in one of the largest fashion cities in the world! My husband lived in New York for part of college to model and he attests to the fact that fashion schools New York really launches the students with talent and motivation into the industry with tons of opportunities and connections to succeed. I wish I had the drive to create gorgeous clothing and accessories...I have the ideas, but no know-how of how to accomplish this, nor the total motivation to do so... I think it takes a special kind of person to be a clothing designer, and who will dedicate themselves to do so...I can vouch for a few of my friends that work on such tight deadlines and many tireless hours. Just a little food for thought today on fashion...random and out-of-the-blue...LOL Hope you all have a marvelous Sunday! Kimberly Edwards ;D P.S. Tell me if any of you are in the fashion industry and any of your great stories on the subject! Are you a fashion designer or know anyone who is? What do you think of actually going to fashion school in NY?

Well, we have some mixed reviews on Dreamgirls... Kenney loved it. I thought it was okay. Mom didn't really care...it was ho-hum for her. The singing and performances were fabulous. Jennifer Hudson did an absolutely amazing job in her role. Supporting actress? We don't think so. The reason everyone is saying that Jennifer "upstaged" Beyonce in Dreamgirls is because she seemed, at least to us, that her role was a bigger role and it was a very dramatic one at that. Beyonce did an awesome job as well, however, her role was not quite as big or dramatic. I think that's why it seems Jennifer upstaged her. Kenney even watched the special features and replayed all of the song performances (some even multiple times). He loves this time period of music as well. Needless to say, he will be purchasing the Dreamgirls: Music From The Motion Picture.. for this one. I quite liked Dreamgirls... I was so impressed with Jennifer Hudson. Also, I thought Beyonce did a good job in her role. Now, it was not as dramatic as Jennifer's, but it is much more dramatic than her role in the The Pink Panther.., which, by the way, was one of the best movies ever, if you love comedy. Mom thought that Dreamgirls.. was not realistic enough in that if they were basing the movie on the Supremes and Diana Ross, then, she would have appreciated it more if it was more historically based. It was just too loosely based. Now, she well remembers this time period, and she would have been crazy over the movie if this was corrected. She felt it was a big disappointment. Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy: Jobs well done. Overall, Dreamgirls.. is a good movie. It receives an Edwards 4 Star Rating. Happy Movie Watching... Kimberly Edwards P.S. THE QUEEN: The Movie
Okay...We have been waiting for The Queen.. to come out for over 1 yr, and were extremely excited to see it...We have loved Helen Mirren in Elizabeth I..; she was downright amazing in it. Well, The Queen.. was kind of blah...I hate to say that because we love most movies, it seems... The Queen.. is based purely around Princess Diana's death by paparazzi, and how the Royal Family dealt with the media. The relationship between the newly elected Prime Minister in England and the Queen is portrayed as well. The Queen.. did not live up to the hype or our expectations. It was like we were reading a journal or something For an actress of such high caliber, the character of the Queen was hardly a challenge for Helen Mirren. We ended the movie simply wanting more. Elizabeth II did not come across as the most charismatic queen. She had her moments of showing compassion, but The Queen.. was quite a negative depiction of the Royal Family, excluding the young Princes. Now, the scenery was gorgeous. I can't remember a film where we have actually seen modern day English countryside. Refreshing! I suppose Kenney found it somewhat of a bore, as he fell asleep halfway through. (He never does that!) Needless to say, he is not going to go back to watch the rest himself... It only got 3 stars...We are neutral on this one. Have a great Friday tomorrow!!! JET LI'S FEARLESS
Now, let me give you some background...We (Kenney, my mother, and I) watch A LOT of movies...We love it...It is family time and we cherish it. Usually, on Thursdays, we watch movies...just can't wait 'til Friday...LOL Movie Review:Okay...We love Jet Li, and so we rented Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)... We all give it 5 Gold Stars... Of course, with Jet Li in it, it is a martial arts movie...now, before all of you who don't like martial arts run away, my mother doesn't really like these types of movies either, unless they are Really well done... She liked Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition).. so much that she wanted to help me a bit with this review... The martial arts were done realistically and perfectly. Jet Li is so crisp and true to form; he is an absolute pleasure to watch. He moves like he is dancing. It is so graceful. An Aside:Now, for those of you who don't know...I used to do Jiu Jitsu, and achieved a level of a junior black belt by the time I was 12...I couldn't get my real black belt until I was 16 yrs of age, because your hands are considered lethal weapons then. I was in a number of other sports, including equestrian horseback riding, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, softball, basketball, track & field...basically, you name it...LOL...So, I got bored with it and quit...I concentrated on rhythmic gymnastics and softball. At the age of 13, I went to Gymnastics School at Seneca College in Toronto to train with the Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. At the age of 18 I was invited by Softball Australia to come play Softball in Western Australia, as well as on a "national" team...At 19, I went to Texas A&M University on scholarship as a pitcher on the Softball team...etc...Sorry, this is not supposed to be my life-story...LOL So, I can greatly appreciate the martial arts and how much discipline and practice it takes to be so extremely polished like Jet Li in all of his films, including this one, Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition)... There was no non-sensical fighting; there was a reason for the violence. It was not a typical cheezy "karate" movie. There was a beautiful story intertwined throughout the "fighting" scenes...So, for those of you who aren't crazy about martial arts like we are, you will very much enjoy it as well. Jet Li's little girl in the movie was just a darling, as well as a new woman friend he meets later in the movie. Jet Li does a wonderful job of choosing movies that have a great story. Good Job Jet Li! In essence, Jet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition).. is a documentary/true story of the most famous fighter in all of Japan during the early 20th Century named Huo Yuanija. This movie chronicles his life and early personal struggles and tragedy, as well as his spiritual growth and self-discovery. What my mom appreciated most was the straightforward storyline, and the fact that there was no unnecessary sexual content or swearing. Really, the acting was superb on all accounts. It was sensitive and beautiful. Truly inspirational! Jet Li's Fearless- OtherworldAdd to My Profile | More VideosJet Li's Fearless (Unrated Widescreen Edition).. gets the Edwards Seal of Approval!
