DEFTONES TO PERFORM TWO BENEFIT SHOW FOR BAND’S BASS PLAYER CHI CHENG AT THE AVALON IN HOLLYWOOD ON NOVEMBER 19TH AND 20TH
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO ‘CHI LING CHENG SPECIAL NEEDS TRUST’ CREATED TO COVER MEDICAL COSTS FOR CHENG, WHO HAS BEEN IN A SEMI-CONSCIOUS STATE FOLLOWING A CAR ACCIDENT IN NOVEMBER 2008
November 16, 2009 — Burbank, CA — Deftones, one of the world’s most respected and influential hard rock bands will perform two very special benefit concerts at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA, this week to raise money for the Chi Ling Cheng Special Needs Trust. The trust has been set up to help pay for the growing medical costs required for Deftones beloved bassist Cheng’s survival and long-term recovery. Cheng was involved in a serious car accident on November 2nd, 2008 that has left him in a semi-conscious state for the past year.
The two benefit concerts will take place this Thursday and Friday November 19th and 20th at the Avalon, 1735 Vine St., Los Angeles. Tickets for Friday’s show are currently on sale. For those who cannot attend, an online auction has been established through Charity Buzz as a way to provide opportunities for fans to donate to the Trust. The auction commences tomorrow, November 17th. More details on the way soon. Please check www.deftones.com for more information. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Mr. Spooner is 86 years old, a lifetime Republican, he fought in WW2 with Patton's army including The Battle of the Bulge, & was in the Liberation of Paris.
When asked recently if he believes in Gay Rights he answered,
