BLITZKRIEG CONFIRMED FOR BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2009

THE MAIN STAGE IS FULL! The latest addition to the Bloodstock Open Air 2009 line up comes in the form of NWOBHM heroes BLITZKRIEG. Formed in Leicester in 1980, the band released their debut single in 1981 via NEAT Records. The B-Side, a track simply called “Blitzkrieg”, was covered by a young Thrash band called METALLICA, who released their version of the song on their “Creeping Death” EP 3 years later. With their 30th birthday approaching next year, BLITZKRIEG is starting the celebrations early with an appearance at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2009.

"Following my recent accident in Greece when I broke 2 ribs, fractured another 3 ribs and punctured a lung, I received a lot of goodwill messages. These were sent to me via the BLITZKRIEG website, myspace site and to my e-mail address.  I just want to say thanks to everyone who sent me a message. I really appreciated them.  BLITZKRIEG fans are the best in the World.
Once again thank you all very very much!"

Blitzkrieg Forced To Withdraw From East Riding

Due to Brians recent injury in Greece, Blitzkrieg have been forced to withdraw from this years East Riding Rock Festival on Saturday 4th October. With the extent of Brians injuries 2 weeks would not be sufficient recovery time.

Brian and the band would like to apologise to everyone involved, to the organisers (who have been great and understanding about the situation) and also to the punters who were looking forward to seeing them live
