There seems to have been a few times recently that the band have been booked for gigs they have no knowledge of whatsoever!

Recent one being a date at Rockers in Glasgow on Nov 12th , this is not an official gig and is not booked by the band in anyway

Blitzkrieg Forced To Withdraw From East Riding

Due to Brians recent injury in Greece, Blitzkrieg have been forced to withdraw from this years East Riding Rock Festival on Saturday 4th October.With the extent of Brians injuries 2 weeks would not be sufficient recovery time.

Brian and the band would like to apologise to everyone involved, to the organisers (who have been great and understanding about the situation) and also to the punters who were looking forward to seeing them live

Blitzkrieg came one among quite some cheer and the collective audience of about 230 people.

The Krieg,  took on the stage with a lot of energy and for the next couple of hours, did their best to entertain, the "lucky" people who decided to head down to Necropolis on that fateful evening. Among others we heard "Inferno" which started show, "Unholy Trinity" which ripped right through, and was a show highlight, "I'm Not Insane" which upped the ante on the theatrical aspect, with mr Brian Ross, morphasming and gesturing wildly, "Dark City" that thundered loudly while the "Hell Express" was making it's last stop in town to let the Prisoner off "in the form of the back2back performed tracks "My Life Is My Own" and "Escape From The Village" from last year's "Theatre Of The Damned" cd  from which also "The Phantom", "Theatre Of The Damned", "Into The Light"  and "Tortured Souls" were aired. We were also treated to a trio of Satan songs, "Trial By Fire", "Blades of Steel" and "Pull The triger"(which Ross admitted was a Satan track that just didn't fit time wise on the "Court in the act" vinyl so it was later re-invented as a Krieg song...) which whipped the crowd into a fury, with a small moss pit occurring and your's truly sending a couple of people crashing down and then obviously helping them get back up and a cool take on the classic, Metallica covered Blitzkrieg before the band concluded the night with a medley of songs from "probably the best British Heavy Metal band ever - yup you guessed it Judas Priest" consisting of "Electric Eye", "Beyond The Realms Of Death", "You've Got Another Thing Coming", "Metal Gods" and "Hell Bent For Leather" which was also met by a frenzied response !!!

GREECE AFTERMATH

The band would like to thank the promoters of both recent Greek shows , also the venue staff of both dates and last but not least everyone that showed up on Friday at the Necropolis in Athens and Saturday at Harleys in Thessaloniki

As those of you who attended the Saturday show will know of Brians injury enroute from Athens to Thessaloniki , at that time no one knew of the prognosis of his injury , Brian battled on in pain and completed the whole show to the best of his abilities (a true pro!!) , on arriving home on Sunday, Brian checked in to the hospital to find out that he had punctured a lung and fractured ribs from his injury , as of tonight (Tuesday) he still remains in hospital

I hope I speak for us all .... bandmates , fans and friends,  that Brian has a safe and speedy recovery!
