can’t stop watching Operation Repo. ..

you know….i think i can be a repo guy. these guys on this show are all big and burly. but seriously….i can be…like “ninja” about it. i can totally be the guy that just sneaks into the night….adds the hooks quickly…and then just drives off. or, maybe i could be the distractor, the guy that keeps em busy while my compadre take car.

i’m totally good distracting and misleading. i can pretend i’m collecting for the church or something. and then BAM…we’re off with the car.

i imagine repo-ing being quite exciting actually. its like legal stealing. and we all know that i’m pretty good at being sneaky.

ha..now that i watch this show even further..i’m convinced some of this stuff is fake.

gah!!!!!!!!!!!! jack bauer!!

after a long day of work, ain’t nothin better than coming home and watching some “24″ goodyness. now if ya know anything about me, you’ll know that i’ve been watching Kiefer Sutherland in “24″ ever since hour 1 of day 1 all the way back in 2001. and…some 9 years later, here we are. i’m still following it and still lovin it. ..

allllllllllllllllllllllllllllthough……..throughout the years, i’ve always had my critiques. sure it’s gotten a bit formulaic. and sure, there’s always these subplots that are just useless. but i hang in there and still find it to be one of the most entertaining shows on tv (still!).

ths season though has been a bit of a question mark for me. the reason being, that its set in ny. so far, about 1/3 into the season, its been kinda slow, but has just now started to pick up (with tonight’s episode). i thought that setting it in NYC for the first time would actually be cool. but now….all i do is pick up out all the UNnew york things i see. that window backdrop they use in the indoor office settings? fake. them nypd cop cars? fake. the amount of time it takes them to get from queens to long island to the UN? fake. fake. fake.

yeah i know…..the whole freakin concept is fake. but still. because they set it in MY backyard it’s hard for me to let my imagination go.

i’ll hang in there though don’t worry. i guess jack bauer is what every (kid)man wants to be. indestructible super hero!! who DOESNT have super powers! he just kills things…all in the name of protecting the word!

ha. i feel like a kid.

who says roman numerals are old and useless? if there’s anything that the Super Bowl, the Rocky series, and Wrestlemania have taught me, its the value of using LETTERS for NUMBERS.

right now, i’m home and waiting for the game to begin. as i wait, my cousins are preparing some classic super bowl foods to eat. sweet potato chips…hot wings…chili. its all here. and its all ready for our consumption as we prepare to watch two teams i could care less about battle each other for world supremacy. ok if i had to pick, i want the Saints to win, mainly because that’d be a good story for the city of New Orleans.

but my gut is saying that the Colts will walk over them.

blah.

its all good.

of course, i’ll really be watching for the commercials. wanna see how lebron and dwight do this mcdonald’s commercial. and i wanna see if there are any FUNNY commercials outside of the beer ads. i haven’t been impressed with the super bowl ads lately, and i feel like the “bigness” of this moment is dying because of the internet and whatnot. but hopefully there will be some good ones.

they should have a contest one year where they allow ANYONE to have a super bowl ad for 30 seconds. it can be about anything and sell or not sell anything. i would totally enter it. and the beauty of the contest is that to win, you have to submit a 30second commercial and the world votes and which one is the best. AND THEN come super bowl time, you can air whatever you like for your 30sec slot!

see? you turn the super bowl commercials into some kind of american idol…but for advertising. hmm…i think i’m on to something here.

anyhoo…its time to eat something.

man i was really looking forward to the snow today. but nooooooooo……had to settle for plain old cloudy coldiness. blah

anyways, spent the day catching up on some much needed sleep. haven’t really been getting much sleep through this past week. tennis has been making me tired, and working on random stuff at home has kept me from sleeping. so, decided to skip the club today and instead focus on getting some much needed ZZZzzs. ..

its great when i can take my weekly Sunday afternoon nap on a Saturday afternoon.

the thought on my mind right now?

Jay Dee. aka J-Dilla. we’re coming up on 4 years since he’s past away. man. can’t believe its been that long. one of my favorite beat makers ever.

why do i love this guy so much? well..he provided some of the beats for Tribe in their later years, as well as influencing and being influenced by almost all of my favorite music people. and he was just a genius in the studio! just check out how he made these guys so cool

looking forward to the snow. looking forward to staying in and hearing the wind howl as i watch tv.

lots of stuff on my mind today. according to the URBAN dictionary..the 6TH definition (don’t read the others) of my name reads: ..

my birthday is coming up soon and i’m slowly getting closer and closer to oldyness. not too sure how i feel about all this. am i on the right path? i can say that in 29 years i dont THINK i got any regrets so far. but..i’m sure if i think back hard enough there’s a couple of things i wish i did differently. for one, i definitely would’ve said more things out loud instead of holding them in.

maybe thats what this blog/journal/diary/day thing is all about. who cares if i aint got a topic. this this has been all me…..or at least the overly exaggerated enhanced me.

hmmm….

i think for my 30th year of existence (math time: i’m turning 29..which means i’m living my 30th year), i’m gonna do something totally different.

just not too sure what that is just yet.

i always wanted to stage dive.

no really…hear me out. ..

i think on my “bucket list” stage diving would be one of them. i can see it now. tribe is reuniting for their BRAND NEW album..i’m in the front row. i run on stage and past them big burly security guys. and then i jump! the benefit of ME doing a stage dive is the fact that at most hip hop concerts i’ve been to, the stage is quite a few few away from the front row. me weighing nothing plays to my advantage. i can definitely make the jump.

AND…i plan to do it LATE in the concert (i’ve memorized tribe’sset). i’d jump….and have the crowd easily transport me to the back near the exit. so see? i can get out easily.

the thing i DO worry about though is the whole touchy/feely thingy. must be sure to jump and then flip on my back. cause yeah…….going chest down is NOT the way to go.

currently watching “Enter The Dragon” on AMC.

maaaan…havent seen this thing in a loooong time. but man….Bruce Lee is so cool. i don’t wanna alarm everybody….but…..i’m just as fast and just as cool as bruce! ha ..

anyhoo…..super long day today. last night, at tennis, i REALLY had to fight hard to stay in the match. and this was RIGHT after i ate dinner. so i was cramping pretty bad. i  gotta stop doing that to myself. the problem is i leave work at a funny time and never really have any time to eat a real dinner.

gotta figure that one out.

today though, with me working later, the food situation is a bit different. i get home late and by the time i get home i never wanna cook.

looking into the future, imagine me with a kid?! i hesitate to think how all of that would work out. for one thing, i’m not too sure the woman who would be my wife would be all into “taking care of the home” and whatnot. i can see my wife saying to me, “WHY DON’T YOU COOK FOR YOURSELF?!” everytime i walk into my household for dinner. and, to be honest, that aint necessarily a bad thing.

but what i HOPE doesn’t happen is me expecting a dinner or a meal EVERYTIME i come home. i’d feel spoiled and actually guilty. sure……mom does it for me everytime i go home, but thats different.

oh if only me and whoever my wife is could win the lottery. cause then, we could just live at home and BOTH cook at the same time!

oooooooorrrrrrrr…….i could be a quasi-deadbeat mr. mom dad. that means i could do nothing BUT take care of all the household choirs.

blah…what am i talking about. lets work on suckering the girl first.

so after the first day of my new website, i’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback. and NO folks, i will not design a website for ya. i know nothing about design. ..

the truth is, i started re-making this thing back in november. after a lot of trial and error, i was able to figure out what i liked and what not using wordpress. but i had to get the domains and the hosting and the yada yada yada. plus i had to cut a reel so that added to the time as well.

anyways…it doesnt end there. if you’re all into hi-tech crap, you probably have some kind of iphone or smartphone. and you probably do a lot of web surfing on that device. well look no further…this site is totally mobile enhanced! check out the pics!

oh and if you want…i suggest you put me on your iphone homepage. i even made an icon for it! ha
