Credit To Download Album @ AmieST! ::
Hi All!!!
*Upcoming Shows!!!*
Sorry this is such short notice, but better late than never huh?? Plus I couldn't get my colourful newsletter to work (what a bummer lol).. Okay, here
it goes!
I have a show at The Rockwood Music Hall in New York's East Village. The
address is 196 Allen Street. It's going to be wicked fun! I'm performing as
a trio and it's a total diversion to what I am used to doing live. I am SO
excited!!! It will be a 45 minute set starting at midnight sharp on
Saturday 22nd December. Entry is FREE and you can donate whatever you want
if you want to. Thanks for your support! You are welcome to visit http://www.adamaworld.com/events for more info.
There will be another show at The Rockwood Music Hall January 21st 2009 -
11PM, and it will be completely different to this show. I'm feeling
creative!!!
*Benefit Show @ The Public Assembly!!!*
I'm totally buzzing about this upcoming show too - it will be at the Public
Assembly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 70 North 6th St, Thursday 8th January.
We're playing in the back room. The whole night is going to be a BLAST!
YAY!!!!
9:00 PM - ADAMA
10:00 PM - Raquy and the Cavemen
11:00 PM - Drum and Dance Jam led by Brian Carter
Bring your drum and join in the fun!
Entry is $10 and we are holding this event to raise funds towards a group
study trip to Istanbul, Turkey in February. I will be travelling there for
the month with a group of dedicated students to take our study of the
darbuka further! I can't wait to do this study trip and we appreciate your
donations and support. This trip will be a success!! If you would like to
donate (any amount whatsoever is great!), you can do so at this paypal
account: events@raquy.com
Tell your friends, bring your friends!!! I'm very much looking forward to
it!! (Visit this link http://www.adamaworld.com/events for more info)
New Drumming Newsletter & Mailing List Coming Soon!
First of all, I know that everybody who signed up to the ADAMA mailing list
did so because they want to be kept in the loop with news regarding my music
and live shows. I am sure that you are not all as crazy about drumming as I
am, so I've decided to create a second mailing list and newsletter for
drumming. So here's the dealio. If you would like to subcribe to my new
upcoming newsletter that talks about my drumming world, email me at
contact@adamaworld.com and ask me to add you.
I'll continue to talk more about drumming in this newsletter, but for all
future ADAMA newsletters, I will stick to creativity/music/performance news
:)
*New Drumming Video*
I have started the beginnings of an online study journal to log my progress
on the drum. If you don't know what it is, as darbuka (or dumbek) is an
Egyptian tabla (drum). Here is a link to my first video upload. My teacher,
Raquy Danziger, is drumming with me in this video:

I've posted up a couple more vids on youtube of me performing with Raquy and
The Cavemen, you can check them out at this link:

I've not long come back from a Cavemen tour of almost 3 weeks. I had a blast
with them and we had a lot of laughs in the Cavemobile lol. I loved the
shows!!! I sang on one song in their set and drummed on another. I got to do
all of the darbuka workshops that Raquy taught at most of the cities we
played in. It was awesome fun! I'll post some tour pics soon, with more
videos.
I'm so excited about going on my second drumming retreat at the turn of the
New Year. I went with Raquy to a workshop/retreat up north in the Catskills
last October to study for a whole weekend. The people were beautiful, there
were almost 30 of us. The chef was so damn amazing!!! We took walks in the
woods, picked veggies from the gardens. It was a dream for me. We had a
performance at the end of the retreat, it was so much FUN! I still haven't
uploaded the videos so I will put those up on YouTube soon - first I have to
get past this week as I'm rehearsing and preparing for the shows, our Turkey
trip, etc. If you want to come to the next retreat (Jan 2-5), or know anyone
else who would love to, you can download the brochure from this link:

*$5 credit towards the full download of my album 'Delicate Dragon' on
AmieStreet.com!*
I discovered this cool website recently called AmieStreet.com [ https://amiestreet.com/user/signup?invite_id=106569%3EAmieStreet.com ] which has
tons of great music on it. It's a system where people collectively determine
the price of every song; all songs start free and rise in price up to 98
cents, based on their popularity. Artists can put their music on there
for free [ https://amiestreet.com/user/signup?invite_id=106569%3EAmieStreet.com ], and the more it is downloaded and recommended to friends, the
higher the price goes up for their music. Once each song reaches 98¢, it
doesn't go up any more. Entire albums are going for the price of all songs
combined.
If you use my INVITE LINK [ https://amiestreet.com/user/signup?invite_id=106569%3EAmieStreet.com ] you will get _$5 to spend on music on the site
for FREE!_ Plus _3 RECS_. RECS are 'recommendations' that you give for
songs on the site to earn more free credits to download more music (I hope
you REC my songs!).
I know that my music is worth the full price, but I wanted to give people
the chance to discover my music at a low price whilst they help support me,
and I'm very excited about it! I hope that you download my album from Aime
Street!!! Please REC my songs and tell your friends!!!
*Download the ADAMA Web Browser Toolbar!*
I customized a cool toolbar gadget recently that you can download and
install on your browser. This way you can get an alert right on your tool
bar if I have a new show date or any news for you, and links to my music.
It's in beta mode right now, so if you would like to try it out, you can
download it at this LINK [ http://adama.fanbridge.com/toolbar ]. You can also add cool gadgets to your tool
bar, such as calculators, weather reports, games, etc, which is sweet!
If you need help with the tool bar or want to uninstall it, check out this
LINK http://www.labpixies.com/support.
Hope to see you at next week's show and take care!
