In my mind, passing judgement, on a religious level, means that we say to another person, who claims to be a Christian, that they are not one and that they are going to hell. Basically condemning another person to hell. Correct me if I'm wrong......

Correcting our fellow Christians means that we love one another, enough, to try to help each other walk correctly in the ways of the Lord. If I correct a fellow Christian about their actions toward myself or another person I am not telling them that they are going to hell, therefore, I am not judging them. I am telling them that they are hurting me or someone else and that is not behavior that is fitting for a Christian. The bible says that a person who is not willing to receive correction is a fool and will have troubles. Just read Proverbs, Solomon talks about this a great deal.

Intervention means that we see our brother, or sister, deeply involved in sin that can threaten their life, family's lives, the life of someone else, etc and we try to help this person to see the destructive things that are going on, due to their sin, and to get help in dealing with the addictive sin.

Because we correct or try to intervene for a brother, or sister, does not mean that we are self righteous. We have no righteousness ourselves. It is only Christ's righteousness that lives in us.

Current mood:  calm

Church leadership can be difficult. It means that we have a lot less freedom to be like the world and enjoy it's pleasures. It means that if we have a problem with self control then we had better get that handled, however we have to. It means that we have to love people who hurt us and not look the other way when we see stuff going on that should not be. .... It means being the kind of people that Jesus commanded all of us to be whether or not we are in leadership. He said, "be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect" He didn't say it would be easy but He did say to do it and we must do our best to be perfect in every way, knowing that when we do fail He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.....

I don't believe in cheap grace. I don't believe that we can just sin, at will, and enjoy ourselves, and then say that God will forgive me. That just says that we have no regard for what Jesus went through on the cross and why He did it. How can we truly be saved and keep on sinning?? We CAN’T! 1 John 3:6, “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.....

I receive a lot of hatred for believing this. It is no surprise because Jesus said that I would. I have lost friends. No surprise, there, because Jesus said that I would. Some family members don’t understand my all out devotion to God and His purpose for my life. No surprise, since Jesus said that it would happen. ....

We should never do things for the approval of others, when we do that we have our reward in full. But when we do things for the joy of serving the God who created the universe and gave up His life to pay for our sins then we have rewards that will last for eternity. ....

People tell me that I’m just too conservative.
Is that really possible??
Can I ever be TOO careful NOT to influence others toward the world and it’s
pleasures that last for only a season??
Can I ever be TOO careful to not lead anyone off course??

Conservative is now a "dirty" word in our society.
Gone are the days when sinful lifestyles would land one in jail
Now we have Presidential candidates promising equal rights.
Gone are the days when children were considered a gift from the Lord
Now we have legally killed enough children to populate several states.
Gone are the days when the media at least TRIED to convey good values
Now you can watch a bunch of "desperate housewives" cheat on their husbands on just about any channel available and at any time of the day or night.
Gone are the days when we worked hard and saved for the things that we wanted
Now we just pull out the MasterCard and become enslaved to a little piece of plastic.
Gone are the days when music was something to celebrate
Now we are surrounded by explicit, mis-leading, ungodly, music that encourages kids to live for the moment and not for the promise of God’s blessings.

I LOVE being conservative!!!!!
I don’t want to "wink" at what God considers evil and NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIS BELOVED PEOPLE!!!!!
I want everything that comes from my heart, and goes into another person’s life,
to be filled with Godliness and wisdom that comes from knowing and following Jesus.
