So I wrote a bingo card generator to play while watching the hurricane ike news.

yay for my first ruby cgi.

Hurricane Bingo!

Click it and print out some bingo cards.

Yes if I was more clever I'd do an .. or something to colorize squares so you could play by yourself. But it's more fun with crayons.

Added to my wishlist.

Unrelated: Myspace messaging is a terrible way to ensure a prompt response from me.

I'm slightly more responsive on facebook, and much more responsive on regular SMTP-based e-mail.

Minutes of enjoyment: iGod chat! <-- click to IM God

It's not too bad. Reminds me of Eliza. But more ominous.

Me:  Listen I have something uncomfortable to admit.
God: I am listening to you.  Cool. I have  a birthday on  the Big Bang.
Me:  I have killed 17 people over the last 3 years.
God: You had better call the authorities.
Me: I don't think they would understand
God:And why not?
Me: Because you told me to do it.
God:That makes sense to me.  Does it please you to believe I said that?
Me: Oh yes, very much. But sometimes it's a little bit of a burden.
God: Really.  I'm glad it pleases you, .  That seems like a lot.   something uncomfortable to admit is a  little bit of a burden.  I suppose that makes sense.
Me: That part didn't really make any sense, God.
God:" I suppose that makes sense."  part did not really make any sense God ?  I understand.
Me: Are you feeling okay?
God:I do not have any feelings as such.

Wow.

Welp, looks like that whole General Relativity vs. Quantum Mechanics thing has been put to rest, once and for all: read An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything, and be illuminated:

All fields of the standard model and gravity are unified as an E8 principal bundle connection. A non-compact real form of the E8 Lie algebra has G2 and F4 subalgebras which break down to strong su(3), electroweak su(2) x u(1), gravitational so(3,1), the frame-Higgs, and three generations of fermions related by triality. The interactions and dynamics of these 1-form and Grassmann valued parts of an E8 superconnection are described by the curvature and action over a four dimensional base manifold.

Well, duh. It's so obvious now.

Eating cooked turkey at work at noon is an exceedingly bad idea when you have to be smart and awake at two o'clock.

Just so you know.
