Hello there...a quick update; we tracked 4 new A.S. songs this week in North Hollywood, California. The drums, bass & rhyhmn guitars are mostly completed! ( 1 ) one official title thus far: "Leave No Trace" (a very dark and moody song; think Black Sabbath with a thrashin' speed metal part in the middle) Up next; the mighty Bruce Hall will be recording vocals, and then we anticipate Bernie's arrival to add his guitar wizardry, shreddin' solos, and additional rhythmns. The drums sound is pounding; we will make sure the kick, and toms do not get buried in the mix. The bass sound is very heavy (props to Mr. Cardenas for layin' down the deep tones). Guitars need some tweakin'; mainly EQ'ng & additional rhythmn layers (work in progress always). We plan on posting a rough mix in the coming weeks, so stay tuned; this will be our 2009 pre-production demo; and the beginning process to follow up the ALIENIGMA  (2007) release on Mascot. Hopefully; we will begin tracking the official 'untitled" album when we return from the scheduled European live dates in August; lots of work ahead....

Thanks to those who came out to the D Club in Azusa, California for a evening or Metal and Trance Music (yes....trance in the other rooms). The Metal was flowing at the D Club... Great live sets from COFFIN TEXTS, SADISTIC INTENT, and others guests all the way from Japan! AGENT STEEL hit the stage sometime after 1AM and opened with "know your master" off the Omega Conspiracy CD; next up was "Evil Eye" followed by "Children of the Sun" both songs off the 1985 classic Skeptics Apocalypse release. We also performed "Unstoppable Force" and "Forever Black" before unleashing "It's Not What you Think" (last time we played that was almost a year ago at the Graspop Metal Meeeting in Belgium; by this time the P.A. was falling apart the sound deteriorating from a night of pure molten metal by all the bands; we did manage to play "Fashioned from Dust" off ALIENIGMA (Mascot Records) release and then the P.A. main vocals went out; we did manage to finish it up with "Bleed for the Gods" with Bruce orchestrating the vocals to the crowd! A shorter set than normal but not as short as the Legendary Athens, Greece ( 5 song set ). We will schedule another Los Angeles show under better conditions and a properly working P.A.; special thanks to Emilio (System Hardcore) for making the show happen and also congratulations on your anniversary! We are planning on entering the recording studio in the next 2 weeks to track a few new songs for demo purposes for our label, management, and we will stream it as well for all of you guys to check out once we are finished with recording. Greetings!!! a quick update: Bernie arrived in town yesterday and we all got together at our rehearsal space in downtown Los Angeles and grinded an all day writing marathon and came up with two brand new songs! Epic Metal journey riffs and arrangements at its finest....Mr. Versailles delivered some great new ideas to add to what we've been working on thus far; making the new number of AGENT STEEL songs for our upcoming album at approximately nine. We plan on writing 2 more songs before  we demo and start the recording the new untitled record.

It's been a while since we posted news; Here's a quick update: We've been writing and rehearsing for a few months now, and we've created Five brand new AGENT STEEL songs!! No official titles just yet! working titles are: "Metallica" "Black Sabbath song" "Yesterday" "Old School" "New Song" (these are our working titles until Bruce comes up with the final lyrics). We want to write another five songs then we'll go into the recording studio to track. We plan on doing a Los Angeles show in the coming months to test out the new material live and get some feedback on the new tunes (possibly before April or May '09). We're planning on returning to Europe for selective shows and 1 or 2 festival appearances, so we will keep you posted on developments.

Just wanted to say Thanks to all who showed up last night to the BLACK CASTLE in not so great neighborhood, California! You Guys own!!! Los Angeles Thrash Metal scene kicks ass! Very intense crowd last night and a good door count considering the state of the economy and BRUJERIA playing the same night! Once again thanks to you all!! You guys make it all worth it. A big thanks to Hatewar Productions, Agony, Dreams of Damnation, Exmortus, Dismantle, Scrapmetal, and all the bands, and of course THE BLACK CASTLE crew and staff. We had a great time!

We recently moved into a new rehearsal studio in Los Angeles and we've been busy writing; some real good song ideas coming along; we'll keep you updated as the songs develop. We have an upcoming show at the end of this month at the Black Castle in Inglewood on Saturday, November 29th also on the bill will be EXMORTUS and DREAMS OF DAMNATION, SCRAPMETAL, DISMANTLE and others!!! should be a kick ass show. New A.S. merchandise coming soon to retail stores in the U.K. There's also some negotiations going on for some possible AGENT STEEL European festival appearances for 2009.

Thanks to all the diehards that showed up at the Jumping Turtle in San Marcos, CA for the Burning Star Fest this past Saturday; we had a real good show and also performed the song "Extinct" off ALIENIGMA live for the first time; special thanks to Tim Thomas who filled in for Bernie Versailles on lead guitar (Bernie was unavailable) and Tim stepped in on short notice and delivered. We will be performing live at the Knitting Factory this Thursday, September 4th (we hit the stage at 11:15pm) also on the bill are FUELED BY FIRE, BONDED BY BLOOD, ANGER AS ART, NEUROTOXIN come and support! tickets are available for cheap $10!!!!!! For those who can't find our new album ALIENIGMA in stores; it's now available on iTunes for $9.90

Greetings!!! It's been a while since we posted here. We want to thank all the fans and metal supporters, promoters, and organizers who attended the BANG YOUR HEAD FESTIVAL in Baligen, Germany and also the GRASPOP METAL MEETING in Dessel, Belgium.....truly amazing shows for AGENT STEEL! A big thanks to Dragon Productions and Nino+Nina. We got the opportunity to perform the song "It's not what you think" off the Omega Conspiracy CD (1999-'00) live for the first time ever (we actually opened our set with the song). Last month we traveled to Mexico City and performed at Circo Volador with support coming from very cool bands and new friends AT WAR, and Mexico's own VOLTAX and SPLIT HEAVEN; We had a great time and a big thanks go out to Jose Luis and BLOWER RECORDS for making this trip possible; we hammered through a long hour and half set which featured new material off ALIENIGMA and the A.S. catalog alike. It was also a pleasure to visit TEOTIHUACAN (City of the Gods) and climb the steps of the Pyramid of the Sun and walk the Avenue of the Dead; what a highlight to end a perfect weekend in amazing Mexico! Can't believe we are in August, 2008 already! This month we have a few live shows coming up, first up is Bakersfield on August 23rd with friends PRO-FE-CIA and So. Cal Neighbors NIHILIST, ABYSMAL DAWN and DAMCYAN (really kick ass bands), and lots of others including headliners EMBRACE THE END! on 30-August we will be in San Marcos, CA at the Jumping Turtle with M.O.D. featuring the legendary Billy Milano; also on the bill will be GREEN JELLY, FUELED BY FIRE, NIHILIST once again and one of our fave new L.A. bands BONDED BY BLOOD! September 4 we take the Metal Assault over to our own backyard in "HOLLYWOOD" at the Knitting Factory with M.O.D., EXMORTUS, FUELED BY FIRE and NIHILIST, ANGER AS ART (this will be a legendary L.A. show for sure). We've been writing riffs and piecing song ideas together but way too early to talk about the new songs just yet. On October 4th we will head out to Mesa, Arizona for a kick ass show at the Cell Block (Papillons II) with DEATHRIDERS, EXMORTUS, and a kick ass young Arizona band called KOAMA! We are planning once last Los Angeles show for 2008 for November at the Black Castle, more on that once it's confirmed. We're also proud to announce that AGENT STEEL is now managed by TAMBRE MANAGEMENT.
