The "War Mixtape Vol II" UK tour kicks off tomorrow, Tues Oct 14th in Winchester, followed by Islington on Wed the 15th and Oxford on Thurs the 16th and every day through to next week!

 

Akala will be performing all of his new mixtape tracks, together with classics like "Shakespeare", "Bulls!t", "Bit By Bit", "Comedy Tragedy History" and many more.

 

There will be Mixtapes available to purchase, along with the new Acoustic Remixes EP, previous Akala CDs and of course ILLA STATE T SHIRTS and a limited supply of ILLA STATE HOODIES!!

What's good Akala fans?!? The Black Shakespearian has just been nominated for Best Urban Artist at this year's BT Digital Music Awards. These awards are not just about the quality of the music but also how well an artist uses digital technology, the internet & social networking sites to communicate with their fans.
So if you feel Akala deserves to be recognized for his music and the way he communicates with his fans via technology then please cast your vote. The winners will be based on both the number of fans who vote and a panel of judges.

The video blogs give a behind the scenes look at the release of his new album "Freedom Lasso" and some of his recent shows.
