A response regarding the Recent Golden Globe Award for Precious:

This movie was one of the worst forms of pathos that I have ever seen. I watched the Golden Globe Awards, and it was pathetic. Not missed was the psychotic way that Mo 'nqiue had such low levels of self-esteem, and had always wanted to be a star since she was 15. Another nod towards the apparent cowardly overt attack on African American women (implying that we have low self-esteem. Also a nod given..was thanking her husband to always have her back..Please (Thank goodness for a single black woman; or black single mother not winning an award. Then who would we thank-but no need to worry that would never happen. What was I thinking?) Anyway..it seems sad that there has been public acceptance of ignorance; as truth within today's media and film industries. I hope that this is not a permanent concept that resognates with our children; although a pretty bold bait & switch attempt. We now see what it takes to make it in Hollywood. Denzel ( a black drug dealing cop, Halle-a Monster of her own making, and Monique with drunk Mariah following along right behind her creating psychotic levels of paranoia regarding black women, with ridiculous pathological stereotypes..that we are still fighting....) What next? I don't think that exploitation has ever been taken this far, and it bothers me a great deal; especially when African American women so often are underrated within both their own and within white communities. What next? Perhaps..we should decide..instead of letting immature racist Industry idiots decide our children's futures. It's not too late. Don't let it be.

The Story of Emma and Dante Culpepper: The REAL Blindside

My Personal Blog Commentary:

Hi Guys,

An expected negative commentary from me regarding this movie. Yet another 'Precious' pathological targeted media sham..that unforunately appears to be working ;with it's socially pathological and completely negative African American influence. Thank you for letting the world know just how apparently stereotypical the African American culture apparently Really is. It is unfortunate that racist movies such as this win awards, and praise; while those that are positive about black women; simply get covered up and disgarded. The obvious ploy to cover up the truth by  the movie company regarding the racist comments being made about this movie..saddens me. We must ask ourselves with the tremendous worldwide sale of this movie; is there still an intrinsically horrid view of  being 'black' also being synonymous with being stereotypical? How far have we really come? And is the African American community in danger of falling into a skillfully deceptive backlash of racist misery? Lest we Forget. Still there is 'No justice..No Peace'!Oh Langtson..where are you now?

 Black Misery..Black Misery.

MY FACEBOOK/MYSPACE MESSAGE:

...Personally, as an Activist..I believe that this was a racist, stereotypical portrayal of both black men & women. And the NAACP should boycott it. It was obviously sad, but also unbelievable that they exploited the stereotype of both black men & women, being irresponsible, and underachievers. I am an African American adoptive foster parent, and no one has ever congratulated me for the privilege of raising someone else's child. It's not only ignored, but even frowned upon. Strange..because she was wealthy and white, it was supposed to be not only acceptable, but completely praised. A simple minded exploitation of the black culture. I don't care! 'Precious' was enough. I feel sorry for those that are offended, but do u really feel sorry for us? Would u think it a privilege if i adopted a white child, and were 'unselfish'? Please, I've had enough of the Racist Movie Academy & the 'new' form of Black Exploition! I am so furious, that I am up at 9AM sending this FB msg, and it's the longest that i have ever sent! Illiterate, and low in self-esteem I am not; nor will I (or my children) ever be. Completely absurd and offensive. A true story,well..I guess there's always some truth in fiction. Completely patronizing towards the African American culture, and I don't care who knows it. The End

Below Taken From:

marandaNJ says:

"After reading the above, I wanted to look up the statement made by the National Association of Black Social Workers regarding whites adopting black children. Here it is:The National Association of Black Social Workers has taken a vehement stand against the placement of black children in white homes for any reason. We affirm the inviolable position of black children in black families where they belong physically, psychologically and culturally in order that they receive the total sense of themselves and develop a sound projection of their future.Ethnicity is a way of life in these United States, and the world at large; a viable, sensitive, meaningful and legitimate societal construct. This is no less true nor legitimate for black people than for other ethnic groups. The socialization process for every child begins at birth and includes his cultural heritage as an important segment of the process. In our society, the developmental needs of Black children are significantly different from those of white children. Black children are taught, from an early age, highly sophisticated coping techniques to deal with racist practices perpetrated by individuals and institutions. These coping techniques become successfully integrated into ego functions and can be incorporated only through the process of developing positive identification with significant black others. Only a black family can transmit the emotional and sensitive subtleties of perception and reaction essential for a black child’s survival in a racist society. Our society is distinctly black or white and characterized by white racism at every level. We repudiate the fallacious and fantasied reasoning of some that whites adopting black children will alter that basic character. We fully recognize the phenomenon of transracial adoption as an expedient for white folk, not as an altruistic humane concern for black children. The supply of white children for adoption has all but vanished and adoption agencies, having always catered to middle class whites developed an answer to their desire for parenthood by motivating them to consider black children. This has brought about a re-definition of some black children. Those born of black-white alliances are no l```onger black as decreed by immutable law and social custom for centuries. They are now black-white, inter-racial, bi-racial, emphasizing the whiteness as the adoptable quality; a further subtle, but vicious design to further diminish black and accentuate white. We resent this high-handed arrogance and are insulted by this further assignment of chattel status to black people.
This would certainly make for an interesting discussion. I personally think it would be preferable if black parents adopted black children, but I don’t think the fact that white parents are offering black kids a comfortable home means that whites are treating black kids “as chattel” as suggested above. These white families really want a child to love and if they have sub-conscious racism, I would think it would disappear fairly quickly if they raised a black child. Any thoughts on this? I think it raises alot of interesting angles.
As for the White Savior movies, I agree that there should be more Black Savior movies. I think it is indeed kind of demeaning to other races that the white person comes out the hero. Well-loved. "

Hi guys..

It  has been a while since I have had a moment to blog. ..It has been a busy day, an a wonderful start..to a Prosperous New Year. Thus;..I wanted to share with you a small paper written regarding making a valuable change for the future. I have many ideas, that would make significant impact..and this is but one. Tell me what you think would work?

My Paper:

Overall there has been a tremendous lack of effort with the direct resolution of both the Education, and Immigration problems that have plagued the United states; within recent years. I state this as being a plague because, there has been a change within the level of education of this country. I am in no way implying that Immigration caused the drop within U.S. Education levels; however both together they create a waterfall effect. This can be described with a very quick metaphorical scenario. Although it is simplistic; it more than explains the current problem that the U.S. is facing.

The flowing River is the U.S. educational system, and the citizens are paddling right over the edge; while newly staffed boats (unaware of the impending waterfall)..help Immigrants wading over from a connecting river-into their alreay overloaded vessels. Let it be noted that many of the new Immigrants know nothing of cooperation between paddlers, and some even choose to group only together with one another;helping one another individually-instead of helping to look ahead..where there is an obvious torrential current building. There is arguing, separation of boats into specific groups of similar Nationalities, and constant denial of the problem. Not to mention, there are still those boaters who have recently received their own boats; or have borrowed theirs, who now also have to share with those who obviously do not wish to be associated. An obvious uncomfortable ride, with an ending that will be both unexpected and tragic. The boaters are unworried because they have been down this River many times before, with only minor problems. There have been many Immigrants to frequent this River before. They will soon catch on to the problem, and it will resolve itself before journey's end. There is no reason to worry. Perhaps, if we politely ask not so many Immigrants to join us; or ignore their obvious resignation not to conform to United States 'River Politics'. This is a free country (or shall I say River)right? And the United States' 'New River' will never violate their rights, by making them 'become American boaters'. That would be afterall...UnAmerican. Besides..The River of The United states was made up of primarily Immigrants. So, what was the problem now? Why are so many boats separating more, many are unable to even make the journey safely; not to mention make it over the waterfall. And the leader of the group seems unconcerned that the 'New Leaders',aren't hardly qualified to instruct themselves; much less lead other boaters in how to 'educate' themselves within 'cross-cultural ommunication'. We have a dilemma. The River is slowly becoming smaller, the current faster, and the educational resources sharply diminishing. Why then does no one seem to notice or care? It seems as if the situation continually keeps getting worse.

Therefore; my program for change would involve a newly formed sense of American (River) Identity. I would propose to Congress that everyone be required to take a basic test upon entering the U.S. This would include taking a required course (sponsored by the government); giving the basics of social psychology. This course would encompass many of the answers to questions that both Immigrants and Americans have regarding increasing cross-cultural communication within this country. In fact; the majority of these answers lie within the basis of social psychology. For example, the basis for the restructuring of the current educational system to include African Americans, began with the work of two prominent Social Psychologists; with Brown Vs.The Board Of Education. In particular when education is involved; there needs to be assigned a great deal more attention. The U.S. is now ranked #14 of all the countries in Education. That is simply unacceptable. I propose stricter Immigration laws, requiring atleast High School or equivalent levels of education; prior to U.S. entry. This could be determined by a test, and could be combined with a course and test for 'the basics' of American Social Psychology; making it easier to accomplish entry into the U.S. ;also with less hassle. The Social Psychology exam would also be required for all adult Americans as well. Those with disabilites, children, and the elderly would be excused; but would still be given a synopsis of the course information to learn.

*Some Key Items Addressed Would Be:

1)The examination of bias (construct validity, internal validity, and external validity); for both Americans an Immigrants, through a series of created scenarios..such as the one above. Asking questions about how to resolve the problem, and allowing both to give educated answers; while attempting not to create animosity or bias.

2)Explaining differences in both American and Immigrant communication (Verbal, and Especially Non-verbal); also differing Perceptions. Mistakes regarding the perception in understanding American ideology -have and continue to- create problems across the country. Gang Violence, Inappropriate Sexual Behavior towards women, and racism are embed within these senseless non-verbal conflicts; that are nothing more than self-fulfilling prophecies; triggered by pre-existing prejudices.

3)Enouraging accurate Social Comparisons. This would involve addressing the awareness that those from other countries often compare us to things within their home country. Sometimes things are better. Sometimes they are worse. Americans often do the same thing when seeing new people, or visiting other countries. It is a natural systematic process. However; when the process involves too much previous bias, there can be conflict. Particulary when racial comparisons between countries are not equally commensurate. There may be a tendency to use inappropriate 'downward comparisons' to explain the actions of other races. Defacto-segregation, racial tensions, and other misunderstandings often directly occur because of these inaccurate biased comparisons.

4)Addressing the many changes within social groups;as they pertain to race and integration particulary. This is especially crucial to the youth entering this country. Stereotypes from previous learned behaviors, and environments can lead to more unwelcome conflict. Family members are often times not educated enough to help with the education of children against such prejudice; thus the cycle continues. And the United States is not elminated from any of this; as they too have only recently learned the proper intregration techniques. I often find it difficult to believe that Immigrants are given no education regarding previous African American Civil Rights struggles, upon entering this country. And consequently see the socialization of Poverty that in particular African Americans endure; as a product of their own making. Thus; the stereotypes of being lazy, unsuccessful, and simply 'not trying' become over-inflated.  Giving counter-stereotypic examples of both American an Immigrant cultures ,during testing would also be ideal.

5)Lastly; I would suggest required implementation of new 'self-identity group categorization'. Many Immigrants feel as if they are alone upon entering the U.S., and purposely join with only family; or other Immigrants only. Even if they are a member of that Immigrant group however; they do not necessarily actively participate within the promotion of unity within it. Initializing the 'We vs. I' technique, as pertaining to American culture; could make a significant improvement.

Consequently, giving this information throughout a required detailed course, could make a significant difference within current United States and Immigrant relations; within this country.

Hi everyone,

Just thought quickly that I would take a moment to highlight a new website:  BlackPeopleLoveUs.Com

I was intrigued by this site because it was entirely based in sarcasm. It seems almost as if it is composed of a 'real white couple'; until you take a closer look at it. The aspects of the website then become increasingly clearer. The website's creator's intention towards alerting those of covert racism becomes quite obvious,as you read through the pages of the tongue in cheek website.

In particular; I found the attention towards the possibilites of further black exploitation,by not addressing issues of intolerance between the races rather amusing. Perhapsthe most disturbing point however; that the website makes, is the lack of understanding of how 'white privilege' is translated into acceptance. In fact..not only, assumed acceptance by African American persons, but also a greater level of acceptance, and tolerance is expected; as a form of political correctness. Quite simplistic, but still very poignant.

It reminds me of the 6th grade scenario, when a female white classmate, asked me "if my braids hurt"; while telling me that they were. She expected some sort of response, because she had acknowledged them. Shouldn't I  have been flattered,by such a gesture? They didn't have to notice or acknowledge ethnic differences, and she had not only noticed..but enquired about it's uniqueness. I think that my eyes are still rolling in the back  of my head, and have been each year since that incident. And now the improvement on the initially incorrect assumption that African American persons would find it flattering to have them associate, and enquire about their ethnicity.

Somehow even worse..the assumption that those that favor white persons in skin tone, and complexion are considered a flattery to African Americans, if they don't so 'choose' to be white. As was initially their choice. Oh how proud that we should be. Or ..the automatic assumption that those who are obtain white privilege, and cultural status, we are automatically proud of and connected to. Even if they don't acknowledge the African American and the other multi-ethnic black cultures. We should be flattered to have atleast gotten acknowledgment from them, right? Atleast it's something. We should be happy. (And my eyes suddenly begin to roll once again towards the back of my head) Absurd.

My Letter To The 'Black People Love Us' Website Editor:

Hi..

Ha..ha...As an AA activist;I was studying Racism & Sexism, and actually came across your site: (http://www.blackpeopleloveus.com) , through one of our textbooks.

And at first glance... I was a little confused. This was primarily because I had
never seen an entire website dedicated to nothing but sarcasm, about 'white privilege', and covert racism.
But, quickly after seeing the first page..I began to smile. I often use sarcasm in my blogs, but this is definitely taking the cake. It is an obvious way for white persons, and those that discriminate to realize what they are doing wrong.

In particular; the Tiger Woods, Venus & Serena Williams scenario gets on my nerves.

"Sally and Johnny are always going on and on about how Tiger Woods changed the face of golf, and the Williams Sisters changed the face of tennis! On and on...like, almost for too long!"

And now it's Alicia Keys, and Barack Obama.  Please..you should add those too.

Sometimes people don't understand covert forms of racialization &
exploitation of in particular; the black culture, until you put it in their faces plainly. I mean really..should I be flattered that there are successful black persons that chose not to exploit the African American culture, by automatically and directly assuming white privilege? Ridiculous.

I also love the inclusion of the possibility of exploitation of black cultures,by those who take advantage; in places such as Jamaica. I  happen to love Jamaica because of their unique blending of cultures. But you are absolutely correct, in identifying the explosive possibilities of racial exploitation.

You should rename the site..'Black People Love Us-It's The Little Things: Everyday Stereotypes of Blacks By White'.
Ha..ha.. One Love.

Kudos.
Good Job.

Hi everyone,

Just Briefly...

Recently, after looking for information onlineregarding 'scapegoating of black women'...Ironically for research of an upcoming blog,I came across thisexceptionally written site. It also, (as many blogs have) discusses the Precious controversey, and the reaction after seeing the movie. It was so incredibly inciteful, that I thought that my readers should read it too.

Great writing. Good and Truthful information.

I hope that we are inspired to speak up.

Black women are taking a severe beating with this one, and it is unbelievable.

Taken From The New Motion Picture: 'Precious'
Precious Movie Site Link

Hi everyone..

I would like to repost for this week 's blog, a post regarding the new movie-'Precious', and briefly comment.

It is quite difficult not to comment on such a production; as the negative stereotypes  presented within this movie effect us all. More so..black women; as we progress, and move forward. I am in the understanding  that this movie (although..I have not seen it); is supposed to be inspirational. I ; however am a skeptic. Black woman's history has taught us that the author's name, ''Sapphire" is indicative of the stereotypical archetype. In essence, I believe that the author has chosen  this name, as a way of showing that she is indeed not afraid of stereotypes. Whatever Hollywood hype has re-done to her book, I am saddened that African American women still do not get the credit for which they deserve. And..it is because of movies such as this. Yes..I suppose that I would be inspired to move out of the projects too (if my mother hadn't done it).

But..still there's no movie about her life, or mine; nor any thought given to it. Perhaps I am not interesting or stereotypical enough. Or how about a black woman raising children on her own (without abuse or stereotype, and without illiteracy). Still not newsworthy.......
I am not normally a person that cares much about image (as perception can often be the opposite);however if it is our daughters that grow up with this imagery..then what? What about the scholars that live in the projects that will now  be subjected to scrutiny..it was hard enough before. And what of those who work hard, pay their bills, and strive for upward mobility..but still are poor, or ride the bus? Just how quickly will they receive the same horrid label? What will keep these people from labeling all women as 'Precious'.

Unfortunately..there is nothing but you. You have to speak up, and let it be known..that there is a difference. Another misguided Oprah fantasy that race does not matter; assuming that those who would serve to stereotype are well above being racist. This is untrue... You cannot pretend that positive black female role models haven't been exploited...Let us pretend.Undoubtedly a superb acting job..Uncle Tom would be proud. Who knows..Precious could be simply another stereotypical project girl misunderstood years later. I could care less about what others think..I just want the proper recognition. When will black women finally get the thank you that they deserve, instead of another slap in the face?

I wonder.

My Post:

As an African American activist..I wonder if any of the work does any good. Irevel in the time, when black women will begiven roles which showcases both their incredible acting abilities, and also true black women. Stereotypes still do exist within black communities; however do we have to have it PUSHED into our faces by the condemned 'Sapphire' black stereotype.  It's not just about the hardships..for once I would like to see AA women portrayed honestly, and not stereotypically. It's hard to watch with no explanation, but when Tupac sang it(because he was angry, and told the truth), In Brenda's got a baby..no one listened. So now..you listen? When AA women are at the height of being at the heads of their families, and AA single mothers are finally just gaining respect?

I don't know. It's hard to believe that you pay no attention to the good that we do; until it'sbeneficial to you. But...when it's not..when we are not, we are  Sapphire, Aunt Jemima, Mamie, crackhead, abusive mother & every other convenient stereotype. I understand that she is trying to help,by showing one scenario within the AA community; that was negative, and has a positive outcome..but statistically it doesn't even make sense to use an AA woman. We are actually ahead of the game education wise.. Oh well, I guess I'll log this in with Sandra Bullock (white);in her new
movie..adopting some poor lonely black homeless teen. Whatever. I have yet  to get congratulations on my child's adoption. Perhaps..it's because I'm walking in someone's constant threatening shadow. LOL

"…Women of today are still being called upon to stretch across the gap of male ignorance and to educate men as to our existence and our needs. This is an old and primary tool of all oppressors to keep the oppressed occupied with the master's concerns. Now we hear that it is the task of women of color to educate white women -- in the face of tremendous resistance -- as to our existence, our differences, our relative roles in our joint survival. This is a diversion of energies and a tragic repetition of racist patriarchal thought." (Lourde, p.113  )

Hi guys..

I have been busy as usual. Thought that I would drop some of the paper on the infamous 'Sister Outsider'. As a single black mother, I was particularly astounded by the way that Lourde was able to get in contact with her anger. The 'Triple  & Multiple Oppressions Of Black Women' are unheard of; atleast as far as being voiced. It is as if we have an invisible party standing there saying.."Be seen & not heard". But, how can that be..when we are the only parties here, and the very foundation of the family? We have all felt that anger at being exploited by white women, men, and anyone else that seems to choose us this week;as their level of envy. Anyone that is a scholar has both read & debated Lourde. Some love her..and some Hate her. I am in between. I believe in her 'using' her anger..but I wanted her to show more than anger. Often times..all that people see with black woman is anger. It's so hard not to let it get carried away. Anger will eat you up inside if you let it...I thuink anger is the first level of healing. Black women need to HEAL their anger. I am not afraid to say...our silence is embed with a seathing pain of hatred at those who are ignorant to our plight. I felt Lourde's anger. I, a single Black exploited mother..It is I who know, more than any other.

Not being a Gay woman..I also had a difficult time understanding why she didn't clear state that ALL Black women have the right to be angry & to use that anger positively. It concerns me regarding the animus phase that she was in..perhaps a limited opinion; but she let the male  portion of her psyche rule at that moment..to actually make black women for once...The Oppressor. Call it wrong..but I think she was correct, that we should be more aggressive. However; we must tackle male and white insecuritiesfirst. Like it or not..we have to explain our anger. I didn'tsay justify it. I think that the feminization of poverty does that for us (unless they are absolute morons), but I mean unite in the understanding that we are not just uniquely different, but we can also be very much the same.

Black women  in particular feel unbridled pressure to conform to male authority, and feel guilty when approached by white female activists...that an unfortunately end up doing nothing more than exploiting them. Really..would pop culture fascination with a white woman suddenly becoming a single mother of 8 kids & then a strong feminist activist (because she is now considered divorced)..be anything but comical, had women not been subjegated before this time? And what of Black
Women?

Do you really think that we could ever get away with even being a single mom, without persecution..much less something absurd, such 'OctaMom', or 'A white single mother with EightKids'. Please..I think they would make it illegal for African American women to even have kids, if that happened to any one of us. How sad. We'd be welfare receipients for sureat the end. Damned if we did or did not have money..when the thing started. They'd makesure of it..to prove a point. Still..we are weak & deemed insecure & they are considered strong. Why?

Black Female Women Have a history of oppression. It is assumed that if we could survive the slave fields, take care of our families on our own, & pull our selves out of virtual poverty ..then it's 'normal". But..when they do it, it's considered an accomplishment. Now..I am in no way stating that white feminists are not informed about the oppression of women. Let it be stated, that I love Women For Women International. However ; if I wanted to continue..not only pulling myself out of poverty, but also holding up my family, and striving to help others in need-without any regard for even a thank you-. Than..that would make me humble...But also it makes black women; especially single black mothers (since we are consistently in the majority)...Humble Fools.

There is no danger in learning...only danger, if we do not tell others that they have approached us incorrectly & having them proceed to move forward; while continuing to be ignorant. In that respect, Lourde was correct. However; again..she may have misunderstood the 'true difference',that caused black women to avoid bonding. It's difficult to bond, when you have so much against you. Oppression is often invisible..unless others want it to be seen. Black Feminism can easily be covered up with 'fake' passive feminists, such as Alicia Keys & idle female black activists, who still feel it improper to add female civil rights to the Civil Rights Agenda. It is not about ignoring our race, the poverty & the oppression. It is about ackowledging it..embracing it ..& changing it..For The Future.

Forever.... The Oppression of Women Appreciated...
No More Oppression Transferred to Our Daughters...
To Our Sons..
No More Exploitation by White & Black Men..Or By One Another..

It is my dream for the children of the future...

And..I do not believe that it will happen without truth sayers.

"Here Ye..Here Ye!"
"..Say it you Black Woman..Are you Happy?"
"..Say it you Black Woman..Are Have You Been Abused, Exploited Raped?"
"..Come Now..Have White Women Shown you What you can Be?
"Womanist..I think Not. You Are Merely AnotherCasula Victim."
"Black Woman  Say You..AreYou Mad?"

"Do you Have Pain?"
"..What Say you?What Say You?"
"Black woman, Black Mother,Black Distressed Single Sister.."
"...What Say You?Quiet Now? Quiet Are You?.."
"..Black Woman Once Again..You have learned nothing.."
"I am disappointed..once again..you must carry the burden of
 all who follow"
"..Once Again..You have Failed. You Have Not Learned Anything"
"How can it be that..Still You Are Controlled..Still You Are Ignorant..

When there is Noone There to HoldYou Up But You?"
"..Who..Who Else Dares To Stand In the Active Place that Black Women Have Had To Leave Vacant?"
"Who ElseWished To Use The Woman That Allows Such
Wretched Tragedy?"
"Who..Anyone?"".. Or has the Curtain Finally Been Raised..For The Immaculate Performer To Begin The Show"

Short excerpt from A Recent Alisha M. Gray Paper:

Sister Outsider; A Master’s House Analysis

(Please Do Not Use Without My Permission)

Sister Outsider was a very interesting paper to have the pleasure of both writing, and researching. Audre Lorde, self proclaimed 'black, lesbian, feminist, mother, poet warrior '; used vivid details to describe her angst, and anger at being labeled as a consumate ‘outsider’.  There is so much in depth writing that Lourde has been accredited with, and it can be quite difficult to pinpoint the meticulous messages that she is trying to extend with her works. I found them quite compelling; as well as ground-breaking in both theory, and active practice.  Upon examining 'Sister Outsider', we see that Lorde sees herself as a paradoxical entity; that is both accepted, and at the same time rejected by society. She is noted for stating.."I am your sister"; indicating that she is the familiar and traditional black sister, of which we can all find comfort. However; she is also an outsider to that very circle of comforted friends; as a Lesbian black woman. She was both a sister, and prolific outsider, within the normative patriarchal world of encouraging discrimination against those who are outside patriarchal normative acceptance, or ‘different’....

"......
However; I was fascinated to see that within Lourde's work, she failed to highlight as above..the origination of the 'patriarchal' male oppressive system , as represented within the 'theodicean rationalization' aspect discussed above, that was so crucial within the homophobic oppression of  men; in particular black men. This damning homophobic oppression,

"......Controversy ensues within my personal response to this statement; just as within Dr. Gordon's work.  So..what of dismantling the Master's House? Is it not possible to create a new system, where patriarchy does not determine the pre-existence of endoctrined male homophobic behavior; as the foundational normative; thus requiring a response? One must note that within Lourde’s response to male oppression, she can be seen as actually stimulating

Consequently; we must examine the surge in homophobic behavior created by the patriarchal system, in relation the Jungian ideology of the anima (unconscious female portion of the male psyche), and the animus (unconscious male portion of the female psyche). And in addition, how it has triggered both the homophobic oppression of black men and the subsequent oppression of  black women. And to state that, there would not be a pattern of the repressed male ‘anima’ without both these factors; goes without saying. This repressed male anima seems to have created an increase within the female ‘animus’; particularly within Lorde’s work. One.. thus directly triggering the other. For instance, thinking along the lines of sex construct, we devise a new definition of gender (male and female acceptable behaviors).

"...It is possible to identify with the female (anima) present in men; as well as the male in women (animus); even if the male female anima has been significantly repressed into homophobia by this point.  Could it be possible to use the tool of  ‘knowledge’ to identify the factors (one tool of the Master’s House), and significantly add more tools; to build yet another house. This house..based upon a stronger, more educational foundation.  In other words, it is actually possible to have ‘female bonding’, between both male and female sources; thus placing the need to apply pressure to changing the construct of gender identification and Homophobia; prior to any possible significant female bonding...."

".. ".......additional homophobic behavior towards women. Is doing the same to men (oppressing them) acceptable; as they have done to us? And would this deem us closer as sisters? I would deem neither forcing men into more homophobic repressive behavior towards women; nor oppressing other women into homophobic behavior of men, as being acceptable. Fear of Lesbianism or the ‘difference’ is not necessarily the primary issue. And in particular (the disturbing portion that I thought was notably missing, within Lourde's work)…..how to approach the reversal of homophobic behavior; particularly in Black Men. Perhaps this falls in line with Lourde revealing herself as both ‘self’, and ‘oppressor’. The oppression of black women, actually causing her ‘backlash’ of oppressive behavior; indicating that black women must also assume the role of oppressor; in order to establish liberation....."

"....

In addition, upon further reading of Lourde's work, there seems to be a reluctance towards the inclusion of the parallel psychological needs that both men, and women have towards the current 'feminine' association with gender; or as again Jung described it, the ‘anima and the animus’. This association is perceived by the patriarchal system, as being homosexual; when at the very least..it is quite normal. So..Lourde’s reaction to  the male anima, or lack there of..is astounding. Perhaps because she felt that the female animus’ needs are much more complex, and thus should be heralded as key.  However; my personal belief is that, the natural affiliation by both male and female towards this natural unconscious behavior, being called erotic or homosexual..is exactly the problem; thus causing oppressive behavior....

" ...Often this can impede female bonding; as women compete to win the attention of the desensitized male persona, towards women.  These types of behaviors seem to further repress the male anima, even further into homophobia; by offering acceptance. Ironically, the same can occur when there is an overly aggressive influcuation within the female animus; such as within the case of Lourde.  In fact, quite often male genders are often attracted to the female anima present within other men; as well as the animus within women, and vice versa....."

"....
Honestly in that retrospect, the disallowance of race and gender autonomy, and acknowledging the ‘differences’ within an individual, is considered common sense. Thus within my analysis, it should be noted that;  I am not supporting the ignoring of ‘differences’; as within autonomy. However; I am debating the value in simply ‘just’ the acknowledgment of this factor; as being indeed enough. Indeed, as an oppressed single black mother (and child of another); I can access the value within being a true survivor. “...And survival is the greatest gift of love. Sometimes, for Black mothers, it is the only gift possible, and tenderness gets lost” (p.150)...."

It's true..I feel that anger..

When I am held back...when I put myself through school..when I pay all my bills..when I am awake from insomia, because my beautiful children wear me down..when I buy my own house..buy my own car..buy my own groceries..

And am numb to all this..until I am forced to remember; as another person swiftly manages to overlook all of these elements...

As another bill comes..another bigot blossoms, another white privilege hailed.....Just to start the anger all over again.

Re-teaching us that...Black Women are still on the outside;Or..perhaps, there are those who are ignorant to the fact that....it is indeed quite the opposite.

Thank you,

Is The Shape Of Black Feminism Changing?

"The triple jeopardy of racism, classism, & sexism is now widely accepted, and used as the conceptualization of black women’s status.”

Hi Everyone..

Recently..while completing a  few of my class assignments this week; I thought that I would share some of my writing, and thoughts on Race & Black Feminism. I rarely have time to do both Blog & work..so this week, I will encompass both. Perhaps in the future, I will make this a paid Blog site (Or Begin to accept Donations), instead of a personal one; as I have been getting positive responses. This way..I will tackle two birds, with one stone.

This will be an educational blog this week. I hope that it helps create more insight into race relations within this country. Also..beneath it is one of many unique Socialist issues about how modern day politics has changed the way inwhich we see one another. And What Of A New America..where black.white.yellow.brown.men.women. and opportunities are truly equal.

Think About it; as you read some of my thoughts below. Please feel free to use for scholarly work, but do not copy for personal use. These are simply speedy excerpts from work that I have completed, and think that you might find interesting, and informational. They normally take approx 1-2 hours to complete. As always..my small family, school, and work keep me very busy & I often edit my speed blogs on the spot. The bibliographies attached to the essay can easily be found searching by the auhor's last name, and are self explanatory.

Share them with your family & debate them amongst your colleagues, but they are not for Publication anywhere else. I will create papers to be Published officially..after the release of my novel.

Until then....Enjoy! But don't Reproduce Them. Thanks.

Alisha M. Gray's Thoughts On:
On Immigration And Race For The Future

The ethnic makeup of the United States will change dramatically within the next 10 years. Within the text it states that.. "by the year 2050, whites will no longer be the majority in this country."(Rothenberg, p.199) However; the problem with the new racially explosive U.S. population, involves several differing elements.

The first being the categorization with race, and ethnic identity. Always an important factor in this country; as we are nationalized under one umbrella, 'American'. It is noted within the text, of how America, is simultaneously connected with the term 'white'; thus allowing for a greater identification with 'white privilege'. "..Ching reminds us that America still means white" (p.202). But..I have to identify with the concept of a new racial/ethnic conflict developing. As one who grew up with a great deal of legal Immigrants; I have no xenophobia, and no prejudice against any particular Immigrant culture. However; I think that we are definitely reaching the forefront regarding defining the difference between race, and ethnic identity; especially within the African American communities.

One thing that is startling;that I have noticed was the influx of Hispanic populations, whom have very little connection or knowledge with their African historical ideologies. And were raised as strictly Hispanic. But..not only Hispanic as a culture, but also as a race, and often their only ethnic identities. This leaves them often times confused in states such as California, and Florida; where there are no strong African American standings. And that leads to racial misunderstandings, automatic euphamisms that are normally only attached to Hispanic cultures..also extended to every other culture that could possibly be construed as black. As the text states, "There can be white Hispanics, Black Hispanics, and Asian Hispanics"..(Rothenberg,p.200) So..how does one distinguish between Hispanic American people, and African-American (including bi-and multi-racial), American Indian based cultures (not Hispanic), and anyone else from the Caribbean, Pacific,or other..that has absolutely no correlation with the Hispanic culture; without exploitation of the black culture. Noted is the fact that Black and African cultures, are the most diverse on the planet.

Notably..growing up,there was no problem with separating Hispanic based cultures, because they acknowledged openly the African American culture as being a unique ethnic identity; as was stated via the Constitution. However; what of countries that did not allow for this distinction? What of slavery? What of the Civil Rights Movement? Do they mean nothing, now that there are those that have not had to respect a race's individual ethnic identity? It is controversial to say aloud..but also sadly true.

The American system of racial construct is no where near perfect, but it does not allow legal separations of race, based upon color, social class, or based upon ethnic orgin only. For instance...within the text; it states that there is a young black man named Israel Coats, from the Dominican Republic; whom terms himself as 'Indio', and not Black because the term is seen as relating to Haitians only..and is demeaning to his culture. (Rothenberg, p.215) This is because Haiti is enemies with The Dominican Republic. But, in truth..there is no real difference, other than ethnic identity and preference. And..what of African Americans and Black cultures within the United States? Does this imply to him that we are lesser cultures, because our race is thus termed the same...Black? Interesting discussion to have at a later time. I believe that many of the problems with the New Immigrant populations began with previous racial problems developed within Immigrant countries, and often times has led to several new forms of implied racism. "Latin Americans have a great deal of racism and discrimination against darker skinned people, Indians, and those of African descent, even though their whole ideology is that they don't" (Rothenberg, p.234)

Also..I believe that the State Department, within the next 10 years, should greatly improve on the Education requirements of New immigrants; (especially regarding this issue), as it would significantly reduce racial/ethnic conflicts within this country. This does not imply that all Immigrants are uneducated; in fact many Asian Immigrants; just as African Americans, are displaced by income only, and are often times over educated for the same positions as whites (Rothenberg, p.228). Both..commonly due to oppression. Still..to ensure that all education standards are the same..at least on a basic level; I believe there needs to be new legislation.

Unfortunately..as the texts states, the primary reason for tension between Blacks and Hispanics is because of 'taking jobs away from U.S. born blacks'; this is no longer true. (Rothenberg,p.201) The tenison actually lies within the understanding that there are many different ethnic and racial identities attached to both Black, and Hispanic cultures. And within this country, because we had many different races, and competing ideologies; we have chosen to adopt a pattern of distinction, that allows for the acknowledgment of African, and African based cultures specifically. Mainly..I believe because of the scientific DNA marker. It made no sense growing up for every Immigrant and American citizen in VA to fight one another based upon racial origin. Humourously..we would find that we would always come to the same conclusion. There were black persons of different ethnic identities of just about every race. So..we within the Black race would eventually end up always fighting one another. And yes..black on black crime is a form of systematic racism..so we simply didn't. It still makes ideological sense today; whether politically incorrect or not. And establishes the basis for conduct in many communities, where race/ethnic divisions have seldom been an issue.

I find this interesting in areas where Asian conflicts are underlying..perhaps establishing a stronger African American ethnic identity makes a difference, because there is very little dissention between Asian & African Americans within the state of VA. Instead, you will see..anger is often seen between Asian and whites; as in the VA Tech tragedy. Asians are the race more commonly discriminated upon; as they try to interweave between class levels. This without mentioning the black/white Southern conflicts that still unfortunately currently exist, because of Capitalism and white privilege.

However; there is no doubting that there is racial conflict between Asian (mainly Korean and Vietnamese), in areas such as Houston, New York, and Chicago. But..this is not everywhere, and actually may have more to do with the stereotypes that some Immigrants there have towards African Americans. This negative connotation is rare, and does not just include black people. We often see this type of racism used within Arab cultures, and can include those of the same race. It is simply an ethnic cultural problem, within their races; which was present prior to entering the U.S., and along with all new forms of Immigrant race prejudice needs to be addressed immediately by Congress.

Thus conclusively....we see the underlying basis of what caused the L.A. riots, the famous Califonia defacto- segregated conditions, The Brownsville NY Tragedies, all Asian/American tensions, and inevitable beginnings of a nightmare. Perhaps, being an Asiatic-African American person, I am a bit closer to the matter. In fact; I could be the very essence of the matter itself. It is literally impossible to separate on race alone (or face value), many of the African based cultures. With no one really explaining how this could possibly cause an increase in exploitation of African American cultures; I am concerned of what will happen within the next 10 years.

There is no clear path to Immigration Reform; which would help separate those that would be here without education (this is the majority of the problem), and there seems to be a new connection between previous cultures that have been racist (Caucasian..and other), actually gaining momentum ,with the lack ofImmigration Reform; while the Civil Rights struggles of the past are continually ignored. It is a Jesse Jackson stated: "Our flag is red, white and blue, but our nation is a rainbow -- red, yellow, brown, black and white -- and we're all precious in God's sight." (Malanga, 2008 and Black
Past.Org)
But..also as his party found, when they later lost the 1984 election; that there is a great divide between Black and Brown within even the Rainbow Coalition.

Both black and white xenophobia is high, and there is no denying that. But,can this be justified? If we eliminate the educational issues regarding immigrants, and strengthen Immigration laws..will it make a difference? Or will it only make a small ripple within the already diluted race-based system of institutionalized racism; that we as African Americans, thought was finally getting better. My answer to that...only time will tell.

Alisha M. Gray's View On Black Feminism Past And Present

...And, as we can see from Alice Dunbar Nelson's reaction to giving black women the right to vote..there is significant question, as to if progress was actually made at that point; considering the way in which they were exploited by both black men, and white women. And after obtaining the right to vote;showed no individual "call to action". They simply entered quietly into the political arena, and preferred instead to "blend in". Thus; significantly lessening the impact of the black feminist movement within this country. Black women at this point could be said to have been 'permanently corrupted' by sexual politics.

It can be also argued that black women consistently made no progress within the family, or within the world of business; as a whole. As Sadie T. Alexander shows, there was a significant increase of black women within the workplace; performing blue-collar jobs. While also increasing the burden of caring for their familes; as black men had more difficulty finding work. This was the opposite of white women, who often worked at higher wagedpositions;or were considered gainfully employed. (Alexander, p.97)

This also falls inline with the later discussion by Francis Beale; which outlines how the role of black women would significantly reshape the black family. (Beale, 148) Beale would argue that the significant persecution of black men, directly caused the subjugation, rape, and colonization of black women. This has long since been debated; as even now..some feel that upholding the image of black men, will also raise the status of black women. However; there is no confirmed proof within this theory, and both previous entries of our readings indicate that black women (no matter how hard they tried); actually have had a very small inclusion into the feminist movement.

While, in actuality, the capitalist system has warped the black family, abused the black woman, and has still left black women at a lower status than white women. Beale also states that there are differences within the black and white feminist movements. She notes that the difference within the two movements involve black feminists not just being overwhelmed with the concept of simple chauvanism; as white feminism has been primarily composed of. And instead suggests, also investigating the "fundamental cause of the female condition". (p.153) This being, both sexism and racism combined; which are the underlying causes of black feminism.

White feminists must understand that feminism must emcompass both; along with the inclusion of social class playing an important factor. Often times, they do not have the same hardships as black women, and acknowledging the difference in social classes is vital. Capitalism playsa tremendous role in underlying racism as well.  Therefore; white feminist groups must understand that they must fight both capitalism and racism; in order to be effective. Later Linda La Rue comments on this disproportionate treatment between feminists,as a difference in oppression. Black women being 'oppressed',and white women only being 'surpressed';  their being a significant difference. (La Rue, p.166)

Still again, we see emphasized by Michelle Wallace (p.226),that there is no strong black women's movement. As feminism is still attached to the white community, with it's construct. And many black women feel as if it does not pertain to them. Black women have simply not reached that level of consciousness; where there is a clear and separate movement. The Combahee River Collective later extends this sentiment, by explaining that "Feminism is nevertheless ,very threatening to the majority of  black people because it calls into question some of the most basic assumptions about our existence, i.e. that gender should be a determinant of power relationships". (p.237)

However; Barbara King later states that there is hope; as white feminists are becoming more aware of the issues that face black women, and are becoming more informed.

In conclusion, the "double jeopardy", that black women have had to endure, being both black and a woman; has had a significant impact on the black feminist movement. And therefore; black women have not been as effective in pushing forward within the movement, or in establishing their own. The addition of racism, sexism, and classism has added the identity of 'multiple jeopardy' to the black feminist struggle as well. Unfortunately, black women's status within the feminist movement, have also been paralleled to our subordinate position within sociey. As many white feminists treat black feminist ideology in much the same way as black women in society are treated; without any real or personal regard. (King, p.306)Instead, black women are seen as having to implore multiple identities. Often having to actively be empowered as both black women; as well as addressing racism, sexism and classism. And while simultaneously not losing site of our own ideology.

Below is a recent letter sent to a local news station, regarding African Americans & diversity.

We are all struggling here with Immigration, and the lax attitude from both the White House & the Federal government, towards those that are choosing to vagrantly break discrimination laws. Often times forcing African Americans to speak up, because of defacto-segregated conditions, blatant racial stereotypes, inexcusable tolerations of exploitations of the black cultures.

I have already mentioned within a recent blog..that I would not hold my breath, to wait for Immigration Reform. but I must say..that anything would be a welcome improvement of the current situation. Even..if there was an acknowledgment from the Federal government, that there was actually a problem. Not acknowledging that there are racial differences, and allowing for careless autonomy regarding immigration (Education wise especially) actually increases the racism, that we have already worked so hard to get rid of.

In other words..ignoring what's going on, is like a powder-keg of disaster. Multi-culturalism vs. the melting pot is still considered a valid sociological concern, but ..let us also consider the truth. There can be no true 'melting pot' of diversity within this country, until we take care of some outlying issues, and do some much delayed housekeeping.

If not..we are asking for trouble. Oh..'The Trouble We're In'.

My Letter:

I apologize in advance for sounding a little perturbed.

However...

I am writing you briefly about a concern with your station. I have just moved here in Jan. '08 & was sadly dissapointed to see that there were still racially divided communities, and no representation for the African Amerian community within your media. Ofcourse there are demographiccs to consider, but awkard as it may seem to say it.....it is still inappropriate to not be politially correct. At the most, there could be the inclusion of 1 AA or black person, to avoid lawsuits. I understand that you have a limited amount of black people to reference, and the majority are actually not AA (Hispanic, or Caribbean), but I am still not buying it. I know that this is a small  town, but you should be ashamed of yourselves. The amount of implied racism, shows through within your programming as well. Rarrely, do I see any positive mention of AA in this area. It's just as I told my daughter..there will be a report of a crime, sports, or detail of some steretypical situation whenever we see AA people. It's ridiculous!

I know that you are in charge of hiring, but perhaps you should consider that eventhough you are not as familiar with the AAand black communites (We have several..you have no idea), being positive... Perhaps, you shouls consider hiring one, and allowing for true diversity within your reporting.
And..this includes more than just a Hispanic or Asian person on the weekends, that may be able to possibly pass the quota for EEOC. I'm sorry..I am not buying it.

I am not the richest person in the world monetarily, but knowledge has never been something that our African American communities have lacked. Let's not insinuate this through the media. Shall we? You have professional programming, but unprofessional and unrealistic preconceived notions about AA persons.  We are much more empowered in the area, that I come from within the AA communities, and require more respect for the individual, and not just negative stereotypes. I realize that diversitytraining is needed within this state,as well as many others..as Immigration continues to pose a problem for those that are not as familiar with the various types of black people. It can be quite confusing, and I have noticed misunderstandings of differing portions of the black race here, and in areas such as Califonia..because of the heavy Hispanic demographic. But ..please understand, that often times there are many differences. Thank goodness, that there are not many African , bi-racial or Middle Eastern Immigrants here. It is quite frustrating for us, as we wait for reform, and struggle with old stereotypes;that unfortunately still exist.

To summarize:
I trust that there will be less stories in the future, that are completely jaded and negative in the future, now that you have a wider perspective. Florida only has one side of a multi-sided American prism.

Please try to remember that..and pass it on to your supervisors..to see if it invites change. I have hope for the future..there is hope for everyone.

Explanation of An Almost Unbelivable Crime

Gang Stalking Testimony

Another intelligent set of instructions to combat gang stalking.

Brave Woman..Sad Story.

She's right. I would be in jail & that's how they did it..they molested a black woman's daughter. (Then I burned their Headquarter down). No need for more harassment..they wouldn't be seen much more after that. Period.

Admittedly, Normally..I would think that these stories are a little far fetched, but there are a number of accounts. And, I have actually seen a little of this myself. Mirowave technology Harrassment? Give Me A Break. We got enough on our plates! These jerks implementing this program truly need to be in jail. I had no idea What it was.

Shame on 'em. And shame on those that participated. As you can see..for us whistleblowers..it obviously worked.   (I should work harder at that being scared & keeping my mouth shut thing..shouldn't I. Oh well!

Next On The Agenda...

Should Be Illegal EMF's

(More than 6 of these should be outlawed for personal Use By Law. It's On. I have experienced disturbances from several of these devices myself. The F.B.I & C.I.A. should have been more careful, when releasing them. Please contact your Congressman to protest these items. They are labeled as a joke, but when used in combination with other tactcs, in higher doses, or by a person that is trully mentally unstable. They could be  very harmful..or even deadly.)
The more research that I do..I can see that..This is more than revenge.
Radiation Poisoning? This is definitely stalking. It should be outlawed in as many states of the U.S. as possible. Immediately.

Electronic Harrassment Devices

(Did you read that the Military and Police Officers can use these tactics legally..within this article?)
There has to be new legislation passed.
Houston..we have a serious problem. Did anyone tell you that they are somtimes crooked? What then? Don't allow  compromise on this one. Whew! This is controversial, and bigger than Watergate!

Now..I can finally nail these jerks to the wall, and get that money to help children through my activist work.
Finally. Unbelievable. I honestly didn't know what was going on.
Luckily..now I do. What idiotic person allowed these morons to have this much authority?

Wow..these jerks have already had legislation passed against them. Why don't more people know about this?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now..On To My Blog..

Which will explain the ranting above.
Wow, I have been naive. This is one of my most important blogs. I can't believe that this simple-minded non-sense is real. I am afraid to validate it as such..because that will make me even angrier at being violated.

What nerve! Believe me people..no more. I will speak up on this unbelievable crime. America's dumbest criminals. It cannot be..that this loathsome group of persons are stealing from & benefiting from ,ilitary technology; while innocent women and children are harassed. And the American Government is not only ignoring it..it's authorizing it.

Whatever..This is the emd of Ms. Nice Guy. I will go to congress if I have to. I suggest you lobby, and do the same..before your familes are the victim of some idiot's jealous rampage. If the government authorized it, (or ignored it..same thing), then they should pay medical, for homes, and also for all the moves that your family has to make). It shouldn't be happening at all. To anyone. Perhaps..it's time to give them a wake-up call... But even I don't believe this one. Can' we just go back  to wasting time & money with crooked cops & unbelievable Narcs, that my grandmother would have laughed at? Wasting tax payers hard earned dollars. Do we have to emplore simplistic measures of harassment on civilians, that were meant  for combat in Iraq somewhere? Pathetic.

Pathetic.

Well..it took a while for me to get here..but I finally got it. More than likely..because it's so unbelievably simple-minded, and arrogant. Unbelievable. If I hadn't seen all the information that I researhed & knew that half of that stuff had happened to me, then I still wouldn't believe it. What  a group of stupid, mornic idiots! Even a mentally challenged person, would pull that scam. Stupid! Unbelievable.

Oh well....I feel confident in knowing that there is compensation due to my family & many others....(I look forward to putting mine towards education for the future of children..so that may become lawyers & prosecute criminals..such as these) There is no excuse. There will be justice.

You are Busted!

Please read my Blog Below.

Thank you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi  everyone..(insomniac single, angel mommie here).

Still working with my son's autism & ADHD. Toddler Boy is a sweetheart, and I still get no sleep. But no matter.

I get more work done at night.

And this is important.. So.....

Listen up!

..As a quick follow-up to the last blog.

I found this article from a party that seems to be quite intelligent, and hit the nail right on the head. I don't know about a takeover of all the sane people or anything; as the posts below this article state..but it describes what many of us have gone through.

Hopefully..this will be of help to someone else, and they will push stronger legislation. Second and thrid party harrassment is extremely difficult to prove & often results in a dead end (when trying to prosecute), if the signs are not noticed. The problem is..it's usually too late, before you notice the signs.

Let's not make these stealing, racist nuisances take our lives away (along w/the money-they are apparently getting for this). This was enlightening to read & find out.
I did not know that they  sometimes hire these idiots..but that should have been obvious.
Who wouldn't want to make a quick buck, if they could get away with a little so-called 'harmless harrassment'; especially if they'd done it before time and time again.

Amongst other things that these stalkers will do is lie about or try to steal your identity. It's the best way to ruin your credibility.

(I think that they have probably made me into an illegal Immigrant by now..who's faking even being born here. It's not funny..it's sad. I'm still waiting for one of these reacist idiots to ask me for my papers...Ha..and you know I couldn't be smart enough to write intelligent literature..so they have tried just about every angle at discredidation ofthat factor as well. Ha..Well..that's why I waited to release it. Keep lying..you just help my future sales) A shame..since my work is so valuable to the futures of youth in this country. Perhaps..one of the reasons for all this nonsense.....

Just Sad.

Who's getting paid to stalk, ruin, & possibly take your life?

Or are these just hard core gamers and gamblers taking their chances for the money?

Don't wonder & don't be a victim. If they can trace your I.P. address to track you, then blog as often as possible about the fact that you are aware that they are losers & you know that they are losers.

Don't be a victim.

Let them know..that you don't play that.

I'm Alisha M. Gray

====================================================

I am a victim of stalking and electronic harassment in Louisville, KY. I have been gathering evidence as I go along but cannot believe how much this is actually tolerated, and how many victims there really are worldwide. There is not any reason for these attacks on my life- I am a single American woman, my family descent is Pennsylvania Duetch, my father is a Vietnam Veteran. I am a hard-working pet groomer, engaged trying to work on plans for my future. And with these attacks becoming more and more frequent- I am truly afraid to establish any solid roots yet (have children and start a business).

Electronic harassment started just over a year ago at various places that I have done contract grooming, and sometimes even in my home.  In the beginning there were certain “memory games” played by various employees where I worked that followed each instance of electronic harassment where someone would always ask things like “What dog are you working on?” and “What is that dog’s owner’s name?”  And I would also overhear statements as “I haven’t the foggiest idea” and “When I get finished with you, you will not even remember your name”.  When in public- the teasing and noises from random strangers toward me suggests that I am expected to either be “retarded” or “stupid”, and surprise at my appearance (apparently, I am not looking as badly as expected?) followed by statements like “You don’t deserve to look like that”.
These attacks and “suggestions” occur often when I am trying to sleep as well.  They are attempts at brainwashing or to cause sleep deprivation.  It is my guess that a nervous breakdown (institutionalization), homelessness, addiction, prostitution, even suicide are possible goals. The grammar, mentality, suggestions, and maturity level are revealing someone lacking in intelligence, moral standing or conscience considering the level of technology used in these attacks. To counteract these attempts I have adopted an herbal sleep regimen just to ensure rest and to stay healthy.

Some harassment tactics used over the years are auto vandalism, harassment in public, bright lights flashed on you repeatedly, squealing tires and honking, random “out of place” conversation next to you in public to attempt to humiliate or intimidate you, feedback from ridiculous rumors that are sometimes conflicting (being suspected of ridiculous things such as stealing, alcoholism, of being a crack head, a schizophrenic, a child molester, and various railroading attempts), sudden hostility at work and having to change jobs frequently, random electrical items or tools not working (things that have not been used very much or are not that old), suddenly being pushed and crowded on purpose when attending public events such as concerts or events when no one else is being bothered in the crowd, unusual “attention” from random strangers than anyone else in public when you are not drawing any attention to yourself on purpose, not receiving your email, phone calls or mail in the volumes that you would normally receive them, hostile responses when refusing to answer certain personal questions at work concerning religion, political affiliation, your bills, income, sex life or personal life, also a difference in hostility in public when you become a little more private in your personal affairs.  (The flow of information is not getting to the proper “channels”).

Intentionally giving a friend or partner more respect and attention and dramatically treating you rudely (for no reason) on purpose.  This has been done by complete strangers- sometimes even a “manager” will make a special appearance when you are dining out and interrupt you and create a blatant contrast of treatment (extremely rude to you, and extremely cordial to your partner or your friends) just to harass you. This is an attempt to intentionally cause friction or jealousy between you and your friends, or your partner.  Awareness is the best weapon against falling for this truly tasteless tactic.

An especially dangerous tactic to watch out for is when experiencing life changes or hardships, especially a death in the family. There will be certain people (I call them emotional vultures) that pick apart details of your emotional “status” looking for a permanent mental disorder of some kind just because you are upset about a normal temporary life hardship or even when you are only experiencing everyday stress that comes and goes. They will suddenly become more judgmental as if they are “goose-stepping” around you to make you uncomfortable instead of actually giving you the support that would normally be needed when in a weakened emotional state.  These people will sometimes go as far as to spread rumors that you are on the “verge of a nervous breakdown”. For example singing jingles as you are trying to cope such as “They’re coming to take me away…” and “Here we go loop to loop…” (A true pillar of support in times of need…)

I cannot ascertain as to what the reasons are for these attacks- possibly targeting for sport (sociopath), for control or intimidation (imagined entitlement), to discredit for some reason, rejection and not having fulfillment or direction in their own lives, religious reasons or the lack thereof, obsession or jealousy- and I am not really sure if these people even KNOW me personally (I am really not believing that I do know these people- which makes this even creepier).

From the suggestions that I am receiving from them I could guess it is a racist with a racial identity problem among other things and a severe control issue. (Possibly a rapist with issues with women, jealousy, independence, and freedom of choice.)  If you can just imagine my confusion, and how creepy this all is to me. Perpetrators that are involved in this type of stalking are trying to wear you down to the point that they feel worthless, haggard and unattractive, and unable to achieve anything, focus on anything or quite frankly, remember things easily.  Common things heard are “What do you live for?” and “You have accomplished nothing”. These people are extremely jealous of anything positive that you have in your life and apparently have a sick fascination and preoccupation with it that isn’t going away.

I plan to continue my research and gather as much evidence as possible, and reach out to more victims- especially since my life has been attacked over the years (smear campaigns, black-listing and stalking). Ironically, it is very hard to find support or help when targeted or gang-stalked.  Without evidence it is even easier to dismiss you as being a "trouble-maker", or schizophrenic and you are discredited.  Becoming aware and gathering evidence every single day is a necessary lifestyle change to stay alive.  You also have to safeguard your health by limiting stress and resting a much a possible.

Terrorist Gang Stalking Defined (Read This One!)

"To establish organized stalking in a city or area, assemble a large group dedicated to "rid your community of undesirables." 100 people or so. Harass a selected target only with attacks that mimic "life's normal breaks". That way, if the target complains, the target is regarded as mentally ill. Add in some sabotage and tell lies about the target, and you can destroy someone. It works. Always. Having a group do this is what makes it work, and allows the harassment to continue for years and decades. Interstate and international networking of these groups means the target cannot escape by moving

BASIC METHOD: The LIE is the cornerstone of organized stalking

"Profiles of stalkers have not been clearly delineated, but can overlap with characteristics offered in the domestic violence literature.  The most common type of stalker (Simple Obsessional) includes those individuals who were prior intimates that may have engaged in domestic violence.  There are several psychological characteristics: mood, anxiety, and/or  substance abuse disorders; low self-esteem; social insecurity; narcissism; intense jealousy; morbid infatuation. "

Hi everyone..

This weeks speedy blog is about something that is quite serious-Stalking. The subject is rarely discussed, and has become a more dominant than ever issue amongst the female population within recent years; especially. What has caused the sudden rise in terrible threats towards women..I don't exactly know. But one thing can be certain, until the problem is addressed, it will not get any better.  I too have had too many uncomfortable meeting with stalkers, or could be a stalker in the future. And many of them..are the most unlikliest of people. You'd be surprised, as to the type of behaviors that can be considered stalking, and there is a reason why.

Take a look at the list below, taken from www.stalkingbehavior.com.
"Stalking typically involves a persistent pattern of conduct that is not wanted by the person to whom it is directed, and may include, but is not limited to, any of the following behaviors:

*Telephoning
*Surveillance
*Following/Pursuit (e.g., by car, on foot)
*Culturally inappropriate courtship behaviors (e.g., bluntly asking for sex)
*Trespassing
*Sending unwanted letters
*Cyberstalking (e.g., unwanted and harassing e-mail, or instant    messaging)
*Sending unwanted gifts/items (e.g., romantic, bizarre, sinister, or    perverted)
*Attempts to “save” or “rescue” (e.g., from an "immoral life" or   an unpleasant situation)
*Spreading false rumors about the alleged victim of stalking
*Threats to harm the alleged victim, others, or oneself
 *Property damage

"Stalking behavior can best be conceptualized as existing on a continuum, from low intensity to high intensity.  In other words, at one end of the range the behaviors are mild, less intrusive and non-persistent behaviors perceived by others as inappropriate, problematic, and harassing.  At the extreme end of the continuum are severe, persistent, or aggressive forms of pursuant behaviors."

So..don't be alarmed to know that you are not the only one, that has felt that way. It's better to be safer than sorry, and it could save your life. Riding the metro and light rails in both Cali & D.C., I often felt worried when people got off at the same stop & "followed' me to either my car or to the connecting transport. I am not going to lie, some of these people are really quite obvious.  Those are the ones that you know right away, and can turn around on them, or walk on the other side of the street. Don't be afraid to use the old self-defense mechanisms..they still work.
But..what about the stalking that is not so obvious?  As a matter of fact, the indirect stalking that has become the most popular. What about that? The stalkers that watch your house, after they follow you home, and wait for an open door or window.  Or perhaps the stalker that has problems with self-esteem & pretends that you are in a relationship with them; eventhough you may have long ended any contact or have never really had any at all.

It was quite funny, when my girlfriend from highschool asked me recently if I dated. In this area? Florida..the redneck,  lonely man capital? I had to laugh.  I told her no..in fact I haven't for quite a while. But..Florida's not the only place, that this is happening. D.C./MD can be quite cumbersome, if you are dating & I definitely wouldn't try it in Cali, unless you are trying to have someone possibly kidnap you and take you back over the boarder. You better make sure that these men are mentally stable. No kidding.

But the problem is..you can't always do this. They have become so clever that you actually believe that they are your friends. And to boot..if you are a guillable person such as I, you begin to think that you must be paranoid. Eventhough, you know that this guys behavior is really weird.
If after a date, they guy seems to still be 'following' you, or calling you, or acting as if he's angry for no reason..or harassing you in anyway... My advice to any woman, if you can detect it..let him know.

I love the part in the stalking behaviors section above that states 'spreading false rumors', or attempts to save or rescue from an 'immoral life'. This is so true. If you have had anyone lie on you & then try to act as if you were really the person that they depicted you as; and then have the audacity to try saving you from the person that they attempted to make you into. Then you know what I'm talking about.  But..this is not just H.S...it's reality for adults as well. Spreading around viscious rumors is often times a predecessor to trying to 'get at' a person; especially if the person won't pay them any attention. And if all the attempts of 'getting on their nerves' won't work; then that person will either stop, or escalate it to something more serious. The 'something more serious', is when you need to worry. And also, if that 'something more serious' is facilitated by others, who also have the same envy, contempt, or jealousy towards the individual. It sounds as if it is common sense, but you would be surprised; as to how easily people can become wrapped up in someone else's deranged fantasy of jealous, and actually become stalkers themselves.

It's just too easy to just say.."I didn't know", or "He told me that she was that way..so", or "I just participated because all the people that I grew up with were like that..".  It's your responsibility as well, and in my opinion the law should state so. The laws regarding stalking should be revamped to include those that purposely facilitate stalking; especially indirectly. There are alot of 'indirect' means of 'getting back' at someone; that you are jealous of, that can often times cause someone great harm..or even death.

Harmless stalking simply does not exist. There is always harm in violating someone's right to privacy or pushing your own interests in their faces, to a point, where their civil rights are being violated.  This is a crime. There is no in between. But..the laws are not situated, where a person can arrest, much less convict a criminal of this nature. They make it too hard for the victim. If and when you report it..you often times become victimized all over again. By the public, sometimes by the press, and undoubtedly by the community that you live in. And in some cases..there is jealousy amongst your own community, that leads to facilitation of the stalking..even encouraging the stalker to move forward. It's almost an ego-booster for those with low self-esteem, when they seen that not only can they get away with it..but others actually 'approve' it. They 'get off'  on it. This can cause excessive emotional and physical stress, that effects your normal life practices and behaviors. You actually become a slave to the stalker, and this allows for him/her to receive even more glory.

So..what do you do. And as in what happened with me..where do you go? If you report it, and the culprits so obviously deny it, and you can't pinpoint who it is...Don't give up. They will eventually get caught. And remember..it's better to be safer than sorry. If you move into an area, and there aren't any 'nice' looking women, and they seem to 'envy' your prescence; including other women. It would be best to move if financially possible.  And report any unusual happenings...noises (in my case..creaking in the attic), driving outside of your house at all hours, and any persons walking past your home (especially at odd hours). If the police will not do their jobs, then escalate it to someone above their heads. Even internal affairs or the City Attorney, if they do not seem to wish to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately..in the area where I am from, we found that they were in fact the culprit; or sometimes associated with him/her in some way. This often led to complicated consequences. i.e.. they were fired (if caught), and then attempted to retaliate against the victim.  And then themselves actually ended up going to jail. In my opinion..where they should have been in the first place. This is a sad situation, but one that many woman have to deal with on a daily basis. I have never once heard a woman 'cry wolf' about being stalked. This would be highly unlikely. And for there not to be an officer come out, after a complaint..this would be illegal. Never accept this. If this happens..report it immediately. There is something wrong with that situation.

And for the final blurb on this disturbing issue.. 'attempting to save or rescue someone from an unpleasant situation'. This is becoming more popular again. I haven't seen these people since I was a kid in the early 80's. I think that it has become more popular again, because of the war, and the fear of the AIDS epidemic, and a larger uneducated immigrant population, and a decrease in 2 parent families (allowing for manipulation of single women); amongst other things. People are simply more insecure about their sexuality, and are looking towards things such as religion. In particular..they are choosing religions, that often times allow for the 'objectification of women'. Why? I am unsure. Perhaps..it's just that these religions allow for women to be indirectly identified as 'prostitutes..according to the text', or that don't allow women to show their faces in public, or dress certain ways. We all have our own opinions regarding religion, so I won't mention any ones in particular; as this may be offensive. But..what is happening is, these people are actually harassing people with these incredibly simple minded versions of religion, and allowing for the falsification of true reason.

Women are being manipulated into being 'Virgin Mary', or nothing. Please. Folks..let me tell you...  There was no Virgin Mary, or Immaculate conception. These things were created by Roman Catholics to ensure that there was the proper justification for the birth of man. I do not disallow anyone's religious beliefs. But..for those that are less educated, this can lead to dire consequences. Women can be manipulated into believing that they are lesser than what they really are, and stalked into a religious belief that is actually manifested in fear. Noone wants to choose ANY religion, based upon fear.  And..because you are religious..give you no right to disprespect, stalk, or harrass anyone. As I said before..we kind of did away with these people in the early 1980's and they have returned. Why? Because we have let them. Remember..these are the people that will be the future for our children. These are the men that your daughters will be dating.. These are the insecure people that will be teaching your children in schools, and policing your streets...

These people have to be dealt with, and dealt with firmly according to the law.

No exceptions.

Signs of Stalkers:

There are several signs that are good indicators of stalking behavior.  It is also important to consider the intensity of such behaviors.

     1.   Persistent phone calls despite being told not to contact in any form.
     2.  Waiting at workplace or in neighborhood.
     3.  Threats.
     4.  Manipulative behavior (for example: threatening to commit suicide in order to get a response to such an "emergency" in the form of contact).
     5.  Sending written messages: letters, emails, graffiti...
     6.  Sending gifts from the seemingly "romantic" (flowers and/or candy) to the  bizarre (dog teeth, a bed pan, a blood soaked feather) (Dietz et al. 1991b).
     7.  Defamation:  The stalker often lies to others about the victim (claims of infidelity, for example).
     8.  "Objectification":  The stalker derogates the victim, reducing him/her to an object -- this allows the stalker the ability to feel angry with the victim without experiencing empathy (Meloy and Gothard, 1995).

*Remember these as a simple rule, and also to not be afraid to report it..No matter what anyone says.   Number 8 is especially popular recently, and is often the hardest to spot; as persons that collaborate with jealousy, will not tell you. They instigate the problem even further, and as stated above; often give the stalker more elevation in his/her narcissistic behavioral patterns of delusional thinking. No one 'attracts stalkers'. If you ave stopped wearing perfume, cut your hair, and are still having problems..trust me, it's not you. It never has been & no one should have to alter their lifestyles because of other individual's mental illness problems. It is not your fault. This is a misconception, and untrue. Another misconception is that..by posting photos on the net, that you are vulnerable to any pervert that chooses to log on. This is perpertuated by the media. However; in actuality the campaign should be aimed at those that choose to try and violate young girls and women especially through stalking and other violent means of aggressiob, by emphasizing the stalking laws. There should always be caution regarding the internet, but there's a difference between being a model; or posting pictures to friends, and being a part of someone's delusional fantasy. If the person is not mentally able to detect the difference..then it doesn't matter if it is the net, or within any other circumstance. This person will still be a stalker.  They are attracted because of a problem with an unhealthy fascination. The problem lies in eradicating what is causing the undue fascination with women, that are uninterested in their favors.

The most important thing that I can bring to the table..is simply the truth. I have been through it, and am not afraid to help others. You will never see me be afraid. Don't let others make you live in fear either. If they are a threat to your livelihood; then they are a threat to you as well. Don't live in fear. No one should have to; especially for someone else's narcissistic fantasy. You belong to only you, and to noone else. No one can force upon you any form of objectification; unless you let them. There is no justification for stalking or abuse. No one 'asks for it'; as they would want you to believe. The fault lies within the party with insecurities, that is seeking to violate another; not within you
.
Don't let the stalker win. Recognize the signs. Recognize the problem. Push congress for strong legislation to protect women, and prevent others from 'jumping on the bandwagon', with ridiculous rumors; which only aid in the confirmation of an insecure's person's libido, and  his shallow ego. No one has to be violated in this matter.

No one.

Push this change for your future, and for the future of your children. It cannot happen on it's on.

You have to make it happen.

Change happens when you recognize the need for it.

See and recognize the need for stronger legislation and law enforcement.

It's about time.

Hello Everyone..

Just time for a quick blog this week.

Recently, I was apalled by the news articles that spoke of starvation in Kenya. It has been experiencing a drought, and the farmers are still attempting to harvest maize. Maize has been an essential food crop for Africans for quite some time.  And..as my research below will show..so has the crop of soy. Eventhough; not an ideal warm climate for soy growth, Kenya could benefit from soy imports, and I am surprised, that there have not  organizations to offer the import of soy food products. As you can see by the article below..Soy has not been well received some areas of Africa, for various reasons. It is unknown as to why, but the health benefits for outway any risks to health, that may be or may not imposed by the risks of not utilizing the benefits of soy. It is ideal to implement 'grow houses' with soy & also stores to advance the sell of soy products and seeds to those within areas of Africa, India, and the U.S.; that would benefit from it's health possibilities.

I am a proponent of believing as well, that there should be more use of soy products within U.S. urban areas, such as schools, and day cares. It is easier to digest, and as the article states below (and I have blogged on several times before); it is easier to digest; especially for those of African descent. Soy burgers, soy milkshakes..it can be integrated easily within their diets. For those organizations that have already son so..then kudos to them; however we need to do more both within the U.S. & internationally to encourage better programs towards the health of children. Again..not a sole solution; but a beginning to solving potential health programs in the future. The beginning of attacking the problem of hunger worldwide...could begin with something seemingly very small. Well..I guess that is the same as saying Universal HealthCare, Education (Good Education), Access to Safe Play Areas (Including Pools-As if denying those kids use of the pools in Pennsylvania was an isolated incedent), and Housing is a simple thing. Undeniably..these are the roots of the so called 'American Dream', but should not be confused with the foundation of what America is all about.

It should be the beginning.

Not the end....

The foundation, and not the core.

We have yet to reach the level, where our government can help implement programs to help citizens to help themselves; and then implement programs worldwide based upon this model. It's a dream that I have..that this will be accomplished within the near future. Again..so simple; yet so complicated.

Or is it?

We shall see; as our children will decide the future, but they have to know that this is possible.
No wondering how they can afford college, or if they can even finish H.S., because of gangs, poverty and bad school systems. No more unfair access to Housing, Childcare, or Healthy Programs for Youth. (There's more than the YMCA & The Boys & Girls Clubs). We love these staple programs, but the kids need more in the U.S.  And the kids around the world, need a base model to follow.

Could there be hope in the future for privately owned, government sponsored programs that implement ALL of these elements in (1)? And in addition..are affordable to all income levels. I'm talking from the deep buroughs of NY, to the crowded suburbs of the Southern U.S...to International locations, all over the world.

Smart, economical..the cost of a small shopping mall, with programs of fitness (pools & track included), education, affordable childcare (Drop-In Only) , and some fun rides & games for kids; with education being the emphasis. Computer access, mandatory education modules, and an optional Homeschool program. And not to forget affordable (new and decent) housing nearby; sponsored by the same organization. Even a place for parents, guardians, and teachers to relax. Other childcare organizations, and schools could use this facility for a day trip. It would be viewed as a resource, and not as competition.

This should not be a dream.

This should be the foundation...the basics.

I think alot about such things.

But I cannot directly say that I dream

I would not call such a close form of reality..just that; a dream.
And it shouldn't be. It should be reality someday.

Perhaps someday.........if we work together.

It will be.   I am sure of it.

Got That Melancholy Feeling Again..

Just a quick blog this week, as I had some items to take care of for class, and Mr. Je t'adore is having fun playing outside in his pool. Not too much 'Me' Time, but I make each moment count.

This week..I wanted to bring up an important point that seems to be either avoided or ignored;  especially when it comes to radio stations. Music.. Ofcourse not just any music..but 'the people's preference for music'. What happened to the rotation that atleast encountered some form of diversity with older favorites. Since, I am a little older (cough, cough). I remember some of my favorite artists and songs, and when something triggers those memories..I just cannot get over it. Of course, I am estatic that I can go to Itunes and download them; while listening to them in private to my heart's content. Also..I can go to Youtube, if there is video, but what of..actually being able to access all of the favorites..all the time..without a heavy on demand cable bill. We used to call that just listening to the 'radio'.

Yep. I remember when all you heard were your favorites in rotation. And if you didn't, there was always a block of music available that would have your favorites available. The mature, sophisticated music known as..you said it..'old skool'; has become obsolete, and so have the declining sales within the music industry. All you hear is the Youngin's out there saying that they hate 'old skool. But..have they really listened? And to the music..not necessarily what the artist is earing..who the artist dated, and what type of gossip that is going on in his or her life. But..really truly listen to some of the music, that helped to inspire generations of youth. Everyone has their favorities, and I am unafraid to state that the move away from Romanticism within music, ahs more to do with society, than what it has to do with actual preference for what people really want to listen to.
What brought all of this on?

Well..something crazy. I went to a Hampton Roads, VA business, that is now nationwide; known as 'The Dollar Tree'.  I shuffled quickly through the CD's, thinking that I would not find anything..but was pleasantly surprised. I found 3: (2) jazz/meditation CD's & (1) that I was not expecting. It was the Brenda Russell CD, entitled 'Paris Rain'.

I honestly was not expecting it to be as good as it was. But..it was pretty good. Not the best work that I have ever heard..but pretty good. I had not even heard of this CD, and it was released in the year 2000; quite unusual. But listening to Ms. Russell..it reminded me of something else..soemthing quite melancholy...

Nona Gaye..'The Things That We All Do For Love'. I am unsure of why..just because she used soft sophisticated lyrics, and allowed for the music to carry her voice. Of course, the famous daughter of Marvin Gaye..Ms. Nona Gaye created the perfect composition with this early hit.

But why not more music such as this.. or more sophisticated music? It's simple..it doesn't always sell. It doesn't mean that a million people aren't searching for it on Youtube and downloading it on Itunes..it just means, that we would rather not remember the emotions that this music forces us to embrace. Some crave it..so when it's there..they naturally pretend as if it is something that they depise. Thus ; the I hate 'old skool and anything pretty' era that we are now going through, and hopefully will be leaving very, very soon. It seemed as if people started to understand all of a sudden, that life was difficult, and didn't want to speak on it, and no longer wanted their music to reflect anything that resembled happiness. I disagree.

Music is a reflection of one's soul..as long as you feel, then music will feel. If you deny your soul..then you deny yourselves. We all like Hip-Hop and rap..and love to party; as the recent popular Youtube wedding party video showed, it doesn't matter how old a single is. If you like it..you like it. Are you telling the music industry professionals what it is that you really want to hear? Are you showing them? So many on Imeem, Youtube, and even Twitter have their favorites listed..and guess what, just about all of them are old' skool. But what acout airplay.

I know that video killed the radio star..but is it completely gone?

Could be that It's time to satisfy your inner-child & dig deep to find that Zulu Baby of innate goodness within, that we all have. I don't know .

But.. I do know that , it's time to satisfy the more mature person that lives inside?
Are you denying yourself an oppotunity to learn more, because you are afraid?

Life can revolve around fear..or it can revolve around living.

You make your choice.
