We need a couple volunteers to help out at the merch booth at the Finale Site the night of the Procession.  This would involve you being there at 6:00 and working at the booth for about 2 hours.  It also involves you not walking in the Procession.  So, if you plan on that, then you can't volunteer.  But if you want to volunteer and don't want to walk the Procession, please help!  We could use it.

Food is an element in life which has so many enriching aspects. It is in the preparing, the creating and in the sharing of meals where we are given many gifts. Remembering Dinner is the latest project of the ASP Weekend, in which participants contribute treasured recipes from their ancestors and dear friends who have past on. The goal is to create a collection of recipes to share with the community over the course of several potlucks (separate from the community potlucks).

This collection will also result in a cookbook which can be applied as a fund raising tool for MMOS. These recipes would be collected during a series of community potlucks, beginning late September.

Each Remembering Dinner Potluck would go like this: A person brings a prepared dish of the treasured recipe and its text. The one criteria for the dish is that has 6-8 servings. All are welcome to participate. For folks who do not bring a dish a request can be made for them to bring beverages. If a community potluck is held once a month for seven months a fine collection could be had and then a cookbook could follow.

Submit Your Recipe

TERMS OF USE

By submitting your recipe, story, and images to Remembering Dinner you give MMOS the right to use the content for promotional purposes, and for future publication and sale of our Remembering Dinner Book. We will always maintain the utmost respect and sincerity in representing your loved ones and ancestors, however their story appears in the public domain.

The Ancestors Project is seeking a crew of bright, and technically-minded individuals who would assist in the setup and tear-down of the Ancestors Installation on the night of the All Souls Procession, November 8, 2009. Duties would include transporting projectors to the designated installation sites, laying out cabling, setting up DVD players or laptops, and supervising the sites during the Procession.
There are two designated points where we will be projecting, at 4th Avenue & Congress, and along Stone Avenue. By volunteering for this crew you will not be able to walk in the Procession.
In addition, we are also in need of ONE Ancestry Archiver who can regularly check our Ancestors e-mail for submitted photographs between now and Saturday, November 7th, 2009. The Archiver will be prepping images for the Ancestors installation sites.
Interested parties should contact Adam Cooper-Terán, the Ancestors Buckstopper at his personal e-mail: adam@allsoulsprocession.org
