Metronomy are a fun electronic band with an amusingly addictive stage presence.

I saw them live last week, and there's a write-up of the gig over on my "proper" blog.

I've been enjoying listening to the recently launched Dandelion Radio.  It has been set up by a group of John Peel fans to continue the great work he did in championing new bands.

On listening to some of Lily Allen's other music I realised I'd already heard (and quite liked) her first single LDN; however it is the track Knock Em Out that I've heard a few times on Radio 1 and 6 Music, and which really won me over.

All of her tracks on her myspace profile are excellent, so I think I'll be getting the album when it comes out in July...

This is not the blog you're looking for...

But if you do want to find my blog, then you should head to McFilter, as that's where I do my blogging.

I'm eagerly awaiting The Upper Room's album.  It's All Over This Town is an excellent track, and if you sign up for their mailing list you get a host of Upper Room mp3 goodness.

The gUiLLeMoTs track Trains to Brazil was one of my favourite tracks last year.

The Fray are a mate's brother's band, and are pretty good.  If you're up around Teeside, be sure to seek them out.

I first saw Nizlopi live at the Jesus College May Ball a couple of years back and thought they were superb.

Looking forward to catching them at this year's Cambridge Folk Festival.
