Didn’t get tickets to the Bonnaroo festival this year? That doesn’t mean you have to miss the Little Folksinger (or any of the other amazing performances for that matter). For the full festival experience put on some patchouli, smear a little mud on your sandaled feet and invite a bunch of friends to dance with you around your computer room… then go to music.att.net and watch Ani live online at 6:30p CST tonight!

CNN’s Anderson Cooper spoke with Ani this past Friday on AC360 about the ongoing struggles for democracy in Burma, and specifically about the status of Aung San Suu Kyi, the democratic opposition leader currently under house arrest. You can watch the interview by following a direct link on www.righteousbabe.com to the video, Ani’s segment is about 18 minutes in.
Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, is currently on trial for allegedly breaking the terms of her detention which was scheduled to end this month. If convicted she can face five years in jail. To learn more about what’s happening in Burma, and how you can help, visit the US Campaign for Burma.
In 2004 the US Campaign for Burma arranged for Ani to visit refugee camps there and learn first hand of the countries struggles. Learn more about Ani’s trip to Burma in her photo gallery here.

Looking for something to check out online to kill a little time? Hulu’d out? Tired of sifting through countless amateur YouTube vids? On Sunday MSN.com posted segments of Ani’s Live from the Artist Den, here. Watch live performances of “Present/Infant,” “32 Flavors,” and “Red Letter Year” along with some great interview clips and more (with limited commercial interruption). And, hey, still can’t get enough live Ani to see you through to the next concert? No worries - National Geographic recently posted Ani’s exclusive Geo Sessions performance on the web here. Recorded at a private taping in DC last May and posted in two parts, stream over 20 minutes of concert footage (including “Smiling Underneath,” “Subdivision” and “As Is”) and interview footage with the Little Folksinger herself.

Spring has sprung, and you know what that means. Sandal wearing, nature exploring, BBQ hosting, and of course, the emergence of pastels into all of our wardrobes. What, just me? Fine, whatever. If you're feeling particularly crafty and hungry for a couple dozen incredible, edible eggs, head on over to the Righteous Babe Store, download the template, decorate some eggs, and get a chance to win a pair of tickets to an Ani show near you (some restrictions apply, one entry per person please; rules and instructions are posted on the website). Happy dyeing (not to be confused with "dying," which is never that happy)... Amanda
