back on the phone. i'm a few weeks back in my old programming job at musika. also a few weeks back at esw on 161st street and summit (i'm currently acting commissioner, so stay tuned for some major changes). today IS my birthday, so leave some birthday love (and if you're a woman and hot, give some birthday lovin' ;) you know who you are...). took the day off work so I can handle shit and be prepared...

finished what I thought would be the hard part of mit college app - parts 1 & 2 (2 has all the writing samples) and an interview. however, apparently I needed teacher recommendations as well. do y'all have any idea how hard those are to get five years later??

'tis the 3rd of january 2008, and boy am I busy. I got logic studio for christmas, so hopefully i'll be releasing a new song within the next month. got a college interview today that should go well. finally met up w/an old friend before she shipped off to iraq korea tours. cleaned out my laptop some, so my workflow should be improved. working on a few test websites to pad my portfolio. I need to get back to making my games, that's the one that's suffered the most (70% done w/mechanics for a sphere engine no limit hold 'em game). good luck trying to reach me :) ...

more websites should spend the time needed to not only validate their code, but also make it mobile ready. more of us are using our cell phones, pocket pcs, palm pilots, and whatnot to browse the web, but the vast majority looks like crap on our stuff. I myself use a treo 650 with my sprint plan, and until opera can fix compatibility w/treo 650, i'm stuck using blazer 4 as a browser, and it's horrible. all the websites i've done (or are still in the middle of doing) for the past year and a half or so are mobile-ready, and I didn't have to do much beyond writing valid html that's also semantically proper and limiting my stylesheet to non-handheld media. we, the mobile public, WANT to continue visiting all the websites we normally visit, but if we can't take you to go we'll find some that CAN.

Hey. It looks like filming of my upcoming YouTube-ready short has been stalled for a bit. Apparently, if I want to film in the city (as in public areas) I need a permit. Went to the city Film and Media dept. and apparently I need to get at least a MILLION DOLLARS liability insurance before I can successfully get a permit, AND if I want to film in parks I have to contact the Parks dept. before submitting the final app. Therefore, a stall. Details will come when they happen. L8Z.

My birthday was Monday April 23rd. Over the weekend I went to Atlantic City for the first time in my life and gambled for the first time. Spent $200, "won" $60. Will definitely need to check out Vegas soon; now I bet THAT'S the real deal...

Why is it that every bot and his/her/its mother think that I'm actually interested in what they have to sell? It's astounding the sheer number of automated messaging systems exist nowadays, and even worse, there's no way to police them. There are easy ways to prevent the signing up by bots, but no one's doing anything to help.
MySpace, FIX the signup and messaging systems so that there are fewer bots sending pointless "Wanna get thin & make money???" and "Wanna make your layout cool?" bulletins and comments.
