Today’s the First Day of Spring….the Spring Equinox!!

 

 

The "birth" of the new life force for this year.

 

The dawn of this new Spring Season carries not only a specific blend and flavor… it also offers the promise of things to be…….which each fresh year holds.

 

This vibrant red energy emanating from the core of Mother Earth’s Fire spurs us onward and upward…..  motivating plants, animals….life as we know it….. all of us.

This life force encourages the spiraling emergent direction of existence up and out too !

 

The plant kingdom isn’t the only physical manifestation that offers us a wonderfully clear visual with tender new shoots surfacing and breaking thru the soil.

Blossoms unfolding in the brisk air are mingling with the whispers of warming airs to come. The extended days of spring carry the promise of transformation, optimism and vitality. Lets not forget the traditional symbol of chicks cracking thru eggs and bunnies representing fertility, new life and Easter!

 

 

Just as we begin adjusting to the fullness of nature waking up during today’s Equinox ……tomorrow’s Good Friday also brings a  Full Moon…………

anyone else feeling the magnitude of all these energies??

 

From the evidence so far (astrologers in the know and sensitives reporting it)

this is apparently due to quickening forces pouring  to the earth from the stars, planets, of course the  Sun and some constellations (particularly Sirius, the Big Dipper, & the Pleiades), ….. it promises to be a year of higher vibration and dimension than we’ve been used to in the past affecting everyone and everything.

 

 

Yesterday may have felt really challenging…..it was for me.

The energies are preparing us, getting us ready for what the next few days hold….the brisk emergence, the fullness & the rapid influx unveiling

Spring Time.

 

Set your mind to being "laser sharp focused" ..ing all old stuff….everything …..Now! No delay!!

 

 Leave ZIPPO out there in the ethers undone ………

Spring Cleaning you’re ON!!

 

Concurrently, watch and listen to your emotions……..they may come bubbling to the surface now too………particularly poignant "problems" can complicate things if we let them …remember it’s your choice how you deal with them.

 

These natural influences of the planets and stars tend towards distraction  and confusion…..this feeling will most likely  continue building thru the Full Moon……and as most of you regulars know ………it is The  Perfect time for releasing, allowing and letting go !!!

 

Here’s a  little  something you can do when ever and where ever you are (well maybe NOT driving)……..it takes just a few seconds, of course you may want to linger cause it can feel great so by all means do:

 

Close your eyes

Breathe deeply a few times,

Feel the "lights in your body go on"

On the Exhale…forgive and let live,

Refocus

Observe

and

Start anew.

 

 

Just like Spring!!

 

 

And that brings us to Easter on Sunday!

 

Resurrection…. being born anew…..on all levels……Body, Mind and Spirit.

This first festival of the three is celebrated during tomorrow’s full moon in Aries, once again commemorating rebirth and revitalization. Aries the 1^st sign of the zodiac & the first fire sign over laps the disappearing waters of Pisces.

The result of the intermingling and alchemical reaction of these elements?.......the birth of new life !

 This time signifies much more than the one time incident of Christ’s physical body rising from the grave.

It offers the hope and possibility that every minute of every hour, we have the opportunity, to let go of the past and move into our potential.

 We are encouraged to cast aside old thought patterns, out grown emotions, habits and beliefs.

Encouraging liberation from the past…….. Greet fresh circumstances unreservedly.

 Old worn out expectations have no grip. Use these fresh and Higher energies that are rushing and flowing in and allow our inner light to expand out and beyond to others opening to the potential of being and growing a rich and abundant life.

 

 

 

This Festival of Easter is  followed by The Festival of Wesak and The Festival of  Goodwill…which I will speak about in future writings.

Eliminate negativity...surround yourself with like minded people….physically and mentally we can then support one another and allow the spiritual forces of goodwill to become available thru us.

The Heavens have a gift for us tonight.     Tonight's full moon  has an added punch  …….so get ready……so you can drink in this fabulous spectacle. It's a total lunar eclipse—the last one until Dec. 2010.  

Here's some background info:

The full moon has no light of its own ……it's gusto comes from being a gigantic reflection of the sun…..Lucky us …….not only do we get the bright light from a regular ole full moon's  but  tonight we'll see a  unique celestial show a Lunar Eclipse!

So what happens during an eclipse?

The earth is in the middle of it all… (Surprise, surprise! from the planet of the human race…. what else would we expect?) The Earth casts not one but two shadows…... (Not that we can see them) One shadow (umbra/smaller) is "with in or contained" in the other shadow (penumbra/larger).

The penumbra shadow is the larger of the two yet it can't quite take care of all the light the sun sends so nothing much happens when the moon and this shadow meet.

 The exciting part begins when the moon starts moving thru the smaller of the 2 shadows, the umbra.

I don't understand it but somehow this "inner" smaller shadow blocks all the sun's rays……making for an awesome special effect. But it doesn't happen all at once…..the official time of the Eclipse is 7:37 pm EST, representing the time the moon enters the larger shadow….but you won't see much till a bit later, around 8:42 EST. That's when our lovely moon slips into the smaller shadow…..

This action makes it look like the moon disappears little by little as the shadow grows larger.

About 10:26 pm EST this show is in full force!! Our beautiful Moon strike's the half way mark of her journey through the shadows

Now we' get the color show!!! Our pumpkin becomes a princess turning an enchanting shade of red and possibly turquoise!

It doesn't last long so make sure you try to view it……by about  10:51 pm EST  "Cinderella Moon" turns back into her shadowy silvery  pumpkin self…. the typical silver grey shade most often associated with her..

The visual color show is over now for us but that doesn't stop her…..she's still moving through the shadows…….we just can't' see much she's partly hidden again at 12:09 am EST, and that's it……for us!

But her journey through the shadows continues till she comes out the other end of the larger shadow at 1:16 am EST.

I'm hoping for clear skies, a hot cup of tea, and good company to drink in this two hour spectacle……Don't despair if you're not able to view this wonderful spectacle because the Energies provided graciously by our celestial neighbors  are more than  enough!

I urge you to take the time to embrace the energies this evening……they will serve you well during the year to come. Virgo's energies are considered healing, both spiritually and the physically. If we use what's offered tonight a "new you" may emerge out of the shadows along with the Lady of the Moon.

Hi all,

 

So the First Blog of this Brand New Year is about ……….guess what???

The NEW MOON!!

Big surprise huh??

New moons are about new beginnings, yeah yeah yeah.... we've talked about that before….but apparently the Moon being of the Capricorn variety gives it a little extra twist…… as I understand it, energetically this Capricorn New Moon is  magnificent for helping us complete any goals we set last year…. that we didn't quite finish up.

 

And it's special gift is that the power it's "new beginning"  is helping us with…… is simultaneously the result of  work already done.…..that's just about  to be completed…..but it's just not quite concluded!!

 

So lucky for us tonight's New Moon is in Capricorn……How cool is that? The New Moon of the first month of the New Year is helping us finish what we didn't complete……and we also get energy to look ahead to the future!

 

So you don't have to be so hard on yourself……even the heavens acknowledge we don't all get done what we set out to do!

 

It's a fantastic way to start the New Year……. a fresh eye at the "old unaccomplished things" Along with a "fresh eye" at the traditional "set some goals for the Year ahead!" stuff.

 

So look over how you can finish off what needs to be over and done with from last year with this grand New Moon energy……..and over view what you're trying to accomplish for the next year .

After a 13.6 year absence, Comet 8P/Tuttle is once again traveling through the inner solar system. On Jan. 1 and 2, 2008, it makes its closest approach to Earth--only 24 million miles away. The emerald-colored comet will brighten to a predicted magnitude of 5.8, visible to the unaided eye from dark-sky sites and a fine target for backyard telescopes anywhere.

Two nights before closest approach, on Dec. 30th and 31st, something extraordinary will happen: Comet 8P/Tuttle has a beautiful close encounter with spiral galaxy M33. The comet and the galaxy may even overlap!  This is a can't-miss opportunity for astrophotographers around the world.

Here we go again…….Embracing the New Moon on Sunday, December 9^th and heading towards one of the most intense times of the year…. ......

"The Holidays".

Since the days leading up to and surrounding the New Moon are extremely supportive for accessing success!! What can we do to lasso and piggy back them?

New Moon Energies permit and support the contemplation of our purpose and dreams. Not only do these Energies help us draw the map of our ideas and goals but perhaps more importantly they help us organize and set our maps or plans into ACTION.

From my past experience, normal activity just flies out the window this time of year……not only do things seem to slow down at work but the pressures of family and social obligations are heightened. So everything is a bit "topsy turvy". We may as well embrace the fact that norm is not happening and incorporate new strategies.

 So, why not seize this found time to reflect on what's transpired over this past year and look ahead at what we want for the next one ….and perhaps most importantly, how are we going to BE during these hectic times?

 
All around us, this is a common theme. Not only in the news media, where you'll find the  re-hashing of the "Best of this or that" or the "Top 10 of 2007" but you'll also find this theme in the Holiday cards you receive or send.

 Most greetings include a "personal newsletter" updating faraway friends and family on what's been going on. We're inundated with nostalgia and looking back, so why not take the energy our culture is generating coupled with that similar Energy of the New Moon and reflect deeply for your self, in a meaningful way.

So how do you do that?

 Try making a list of things (at least 10) from this past year that you are truly grateful for.

 As you write each thing down ….FEEL it, gather that wonderful  Energy of Gratitude and wrap it around you like a soft and comforting blanket or hug……as you keep adding to your list….. Continue adding to that wondrous feeling of  GRATITUDE.

 

When you've completed your  "Gratitude List" and you're utterly steeped in that fabulous feeling of wealth and comfort……use this  "Energy of Gratitude" you generated to create a list (no more than the number you have on your Gratitude List ) for your vision of the coming year ; your " Manifesting List ".

 Use this feeling of accomplishment, of wealth, of comfort, of happiness, of peace , use these feelings as a platform to jump off from as you write what it is you plan to bring towards you this coming year……..

 
VISUALIZE it and most importantly FEEL it happening, as if it's already occurred.

 When you've completed your " List" for the coming New Year……….now release it to the Universe, to God, the Supreme Being….to whom ever you want but ….and this is important….. let it go…….don't go chasing it…..and don't work at it or worry about it.

 KNOW deep with in…. that it's already been taken care of and that the Powers that Be have taken care of it for you …..it has been duly noted.

 Be clear and certain deep within your core, that just as you reviewed the list of your accomplishments over the past year, and all those things came to pass………that you already inherently KNOW  how to do this…..that this new list of creation IS already happening.

 Don't be thrown by this, we still need to take ACTION to accompany our map; we just don't have to dwell and worry about it. Nor can you just sit around only visualizing and feeling.

 We all know how to do this creating thing……we do "IT" daily. We simply don't take the time to acknowledge it. We take it for granted. We don't know how we did it, don't think about it OR don't ever notice the miracles. Or the things we created……we just overlook them as the way things are and always have been…. Forgetting we ever "asked" for them at some point in time.

 I urge you to take this time and use the added push and punch the New Moon time provides to make your lists NOW. There is no better time to prepare and to set your plans in motion, into ACTION.

 A few more things:

1) Always write "I AM" not "I'm going to" that keeps it in the future…..and you need to reinforce that it's in the present …it already happened it is happening.

So start both lists with "I Am"; e.i.  "I Am grateful" and "I Am manifesting".

 2) Perhaps you'd like to start the New Year of 2008 with this exercise, incorporating it as a daily practice. It's something I do……..I find it's a wonderful reminder, particularly when I'm beginning to go down the path of feeling feel sorry for myself. It helps to right that self fulfilling pity path. Once again reminding me just how much I already have in my life to be GRATEFUL for!

 3) This is the fun part. If you continue to do this exercise daily you'll begin to notice that the things on your "Manifesting List" have begun to mysteriously appear in your life! And you'll have a record of it to reflect back on.

 I hope you join me in Gratitude now and everyday in the coming New Year.

Well, we have a BIG treat with this month's full moon.

According to NASA experts "This week's full moon (October 25/26) will be biggest full moon of 2007 due to its closeness to the earth.  "Some full moons are genuinely larger than others and Thursday night's will be as much as 14 per cent wider and 30 per cent brighter than lesser full moons we've seen earlier this year".

What's happening is the Moon is reflecting and radiating the complete brilliance of the Sun.  Remember it has no light of its own yet it's providing us a natural spotlight illuminating, encouraging us to look at things that are normally hidden. The moon is an indirect radiance though, a gentle diffuse light.

Revealing the paths we've taken. This is the optimum time to review strategies; release and let go of things that aren't working that are not in our highest good.  

So as we look at our business and marketing plans we can ask ourselves; how can we fully utilize this unique luminosity that this lunar energy is providing?

First of all, this is not an advantageous time to start projects but rather to continue the quiet inner work that Mercury retrograde initiated. Continue to look within. See if you can capture the feeling that you've been offered a gigantic flash light brightening the dark. Share what you've learned with others. Take pleasure in what you've accomplished. Don't forget to dream, it's a good time to.

This full moon particularly supports issues of control, manipulating time and releasing old hurtful wounds. Knowing this, can you use this time to focus your attention towards that? Are you trying to control things too much? Can you let go a bit more? Can you follow the energy of a project, observe what shows up and follow that natural flow rather than forcing things? It's an excellent time to discard what's no longer beneficial, clearing things out, detoxifying.

The Full Moon brings things to a head. Feelings are heightened, personal and emotional issues are brought out from the depths where we've been conditioned to keep them. Have there been misunderstandings between you and co-workers or clients? The Full Moon energy supports your dealing with those issues now, assisting you to let go of things a little bit more easily. Take this opportunity to clear the air and "ride the tides" don't forget the moon rules the ocean's tides and how powerful is the ocean!

Full Moon time is potent, yet as it wanes so does that intensity. So utilize that force and carry yourself with confidence. Use the guiding light of the Moon; let it illuminate what's usually kept in the dark and in the shadows. Let it reveal what we can't usually see. Find the blessing in all that shows up for you and choose to experience everything in a positive way. Remember we always have choices.

Embrace "I'm going with the flow" and "I'm cleaning out the closet" as your mantra during the Full Moon.

Ahhhhhhhh it took me longer to get back to you than I thought……..this time of year is full of Birthdays for my family……Exactly what I was thinking of 20 + years ago I can't imagine.

So………how's Mercury Retrograde treating everyone? We're a week plus into it and boy has the energy been a doozey!!
That's all the folks that I know are saying…….so this is a golden opportunity
to see how we navigate thru this tumultuous energy.
What I'd like to do is reframe the old adage about the "horrors of Mercury in Retrograde". Being a student of the Law of Attraction or what the homeopathic world coined " Like attracts like".

I think it's of mighty importance how we feel and view these next two weeks……..which is how much longer it will appear in the sky that Mercury
is going backwards and how long we'll be under it's influence.

I've actually come to embrace this time……….I use it and see it as a little mini winter………a time of reflection, of looking within………not starting something new, but completing things I've already started.

Looking at what I've accomplished or I'm planning to do with a critical reevaluating eye……looking at the details and asking some questions;

Does this still work?

Is this still a good fit?

Is there something I overlooked?

What else might I do to to make it better or?

It's the time to take a serious look at what ever I'm doing, not rushing to finish or implement anything, yet still moving forward on things I already set in motion in a thoughtful, steady, patient way.

Keep in mind the steps we take at this time may not seem to be of any real consequence………it may feel like we're standing still or even going backwards.

So look at this moment as if you pushed the "rewind" or "pause" button on which ever contraption you fancy (TiVo CD, DVD). Understand that it only seems like a manipulation of time and is remedied easily.

It's an instant replay for you, so you can see more clearly what's happening. In sports terms….Is this a completed pass? A foul? A fumble? An interception? Look closely. Do you understand what's happened the last few months?

Go ahead, rewind the tape to hear and see it one more time. Most major sports have implemented instant replay and they're definitely into making a profit ….so go for it...looking at your business....... at your life!

Mercury in Retrograde is also a wonderful time to see just how flexible we are……can we take what glitches life offers in stride?

Do you follow the old cliché about turning "lemons into lemonade"……or do you just pucker up and complain when you're handed a lemon??
Ask yourself…..observe…..which is true for you?

Now how wise was that???

You're handed on a silver platter a chance to stand out from the crowd; a complaint is an opening for you. Get to know your client a little bit more. Understand their needs a little better. Show them what a fabulous problem solver you are when things go awry…and at some point things always do.

What kind of impression will you leave with them?

Will they become your number one fan, an absolutely LOYAL customer for life…or beat a hasty retreat?

So as we reflect, hopefully learning something of importance that previously got passed us, remember the retrograde is about this, encouraging us to confront and analyze all the possibilities BUT waiting to make any important decisions……..let the ideas cook for a little while longer……..clearly seeing and waiting for the right timing.

And perhaps most importantly of all, as I started to say at the beginning, Mercury retrograde is a mini-winter for me……winter is a time of rest……..so take this "mini-winter' the winged messenger Mercury is offering to revitalize ourselves personally, emotionally, physically and spiritually in all avenues of our lives.

So I suggest to you……….embrace this time, restructure how you think about your processes, reorganize all you've been doing lately (since the last retro if you follow it) and bring things up to date…….reboot the old computer figuratively and literally.

Be gentle to yourself and others, it's a notorious time for communication glitches, mechanical glitches and the breakdown of negotiations.

The devil's in the details and often the details are clouded or hiding now……so continue with projects already in motion. We often learn something really important that we've overlooked in the past.

This time in Mercury retrograde helps us figure out patterns that no longer serve. Review BUT wait for the timing to improve before implementing anything new.
