Current mood: sick
Unfortunately Arkaea had to leave the Kittie tour 5 shows early. I
apologize to all my friends and fans who were expecting to see us
perform, we'll defiantly make it up to you very soon.
For the past week I had been pushing myself to perform with the flu and
I hoped it would eventually fade away, but it got worse. Once the
sickness moved into my lungs I took my ass to the clinic in Flint
Michigan. I had a chest xray and it turns out I have pneumonia. The
doctor almost put me into a hospital bed I was so bad... I decided my
health is the most important and I came home to rest.
A big thanks to everyone on the tour, Kittie, Soil, Straight Line
Stitch, crew and the fans for making this tour such a blast! I wish it
could have ended on a better note for me, but thats life sometimes.
See you again soon!
Jon

Dear friends, colleagues and teammates, As many of you know, Bush fires that exceed any natural disaster in Australian history have devastated the State of Victoria in Australia. Entire towns and communities have been wiped out. The estimated death toll is expected to exceed 300 and there is the inestimable loss of homes, businesses and jobs. The cost of relief for the victims and rebuilding all that's was lost will most likely run at $500 Million. Of course, no price can be placed on the loss of family and loved ones and the suffering caused by the loss of your community. It’s with this in mind that I would love if you could play in a mini 7 a side tournament on Saturday February 28th from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy. Depending on the turnout we should be looking at 2 – 4 teams of 7 in a mini round robin. I have received great support from fellow Aussie’s in the LA region so far so it should be a really nice turn out. Any donations you can make prior to the event or on the day would be massively appreciated.
Hollywood United’s lineup* as of today includes Anthony LaPaglia (“Without a Trace”), Brandon Routh (“Superman”), Jimmy Jean‐Louis (“Heroes”), Steve Jones (“Sex Pistols”), Youri Djorkaeff and Frank LeBoeuf (Former French Players and 1998 FIFA World Cup Winners), Gilles Marini (“Sex and the City”), Ethan Zohn (Co‐founder Grassroot Soccer and “Survivor Africa” Winner), Costas Mandylor (“Saw”), Donal Logue (“Life”), Richard Gough (Glasgow Rangers, Scottish International), Marc Consuelos (World Renown Actor), Christian Olde Wolbers (Metal and Hip-Hop producer as well as guitarist with Fear Factory and ARKAEA), Billy Duffy("The Cult"), Benji Madden ("Good charlotte") Vivian campbell ("def leppard") Alexis Lalas (MLS and US national team), Vinnie Jones ( "Snatch and ex Pro English Premier league") jason Statham ("The Transporter,Snatch").... plus many more yet to be announced.
The event will be held at Palisades Charter High School, 15777 Bowdoin Street, Pacific Palisades. To help raise funds donations will be welcomed at the gate. All money generated on the day will go directly to the relief fund. Snacks, soft drinks and meat pies will be available in the stands and raffle tickets will be sold with various signed items including signed jerseys being offered up as prizes. Please join me, and a host of friends and colleagues in this event. In this time of tragedy and pain let's do what we've always done. Throw in together and show we care. Sincerely, Christian Olde Wolbers Anthony LaPaglia.
