Have you ever sat Totally alone Refused to give attention To a single other thing On purpose
Or forced yourself into a crowd Just to feel the seclusion To make reality a little less Reality
This is training for what will come Hardening of the shell That will soon shatter the world A routine of losing faith
All in time It will pay off And you realize It is all meant to be
It is sometimes okay To give up And walk away And let the demons in
After all of that After having so much Who would give it all up On purpose
Sometimes there are reasons We can not explain Or realize But we know they are there
And in the end Maybe we are better people For letting the unknown Get the best of us
Maybe logic doesn't play a roll In anything Maybe we are meant to act In chaotic, primitive ways
It is the only way One can truly say They have gotten what they wanted And learned to save themselves
So this was a rather random ramble of a 'poem' I wrote as I typed just now. I'm not going to explain what it means, but I will say that growing a pair and making life happen rather than sitting back and waiting for it to happen for you is much more rewarding in the end. Too many people refuse to get off their butts and do anything with themselves. I may not turn out to be much of a somebody, but seriouslly people, grow a pair.

So it's been a while since I've done any recordings around the house and I don't think I've ever posted anything about the paranormal stuff that goes on at the house. The first summer we were here there were a lot of odd things seen and heard. Things settled down, then the winter became more active with knocking on the garage door every morning at 4:00a.m. for a week straight then the knocking moved to being at the deck door around the same time of morning. Also, a lot of voices have been camptured of a digital tape recorder.
Anyways. Yesterday around 5a.m. I was doing a recording out in the living room and there are a few voices, but the most surprisin/creepy thing is there is rather loud slave music in the background. Mellow singing. It goes on for almost 2 minutes. Freaked me out, especially with how loud it is. Right after a woman whispers something and a man says pretty loudly, "Goodnight".
Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!!
If you want to hear this or have any insight feel free to drop a message :]

Crooked summer sings to me Screaming in my radio The sun shines down Sparkles in my eyes Reminds me that we all die alone
From this dream A voice is born Takes control And loses form
Inside out we sing along With the winter by our side Together in suicide We scrape the hollow shell
Insects crawl and eat the rest Pull temptation into view Whiplashed by the undertow We all die alone

Here I leave A little piece of insomnia A little piece of paranoia Hope that somehow A little piece of me will die
Scroll though the after birth Through the ashes that still remain A distant fairytale of something That used to never be
And with the rising of the sun I shed my skin Expose myself in full Unprotected and unprepared
Leave behind a hallow shell Something that I can return to When the flesh Begins to rip
With the rising of the moon I move on to uncertainty Know that this is something Brand new to linger on
Here I leave My final mark My final attempt Know that this is My final thought

Moon come down to me Shine your light over me Protect me, show me the way Erase all that is this day
Sun come up and take me Keep me with you Protect me, show me how Erase all that is this night
I have wronged myself I have wronged myself I have wronged myself For far too long
Let the blades of grass Rip me apart And the petals of daises Repair my soul
Full of sin and empty hope In this world we die alone Together still we shall dance After to storm before the calm

I just wrote this as I typed and honestly, don't like it very much. Something about it just doesn't grab me the same as some of my other writing does. Ah well. Prehaps some of you feel differently. Regardless, here is an older one I've written and like a little better.
Inside this tiney dream A wish will die tonight With bullet holes and succubus eyes And blood so thick it stains the soul
With teeth so sharp Like needles would poke Into baby's breath Apon a crashing star
Held in too much air For far too short of time A need to let the dogs out Clouds the throat
Choked memories And Drown your sorrow Safely below the sky
Wings of death Tears of light Shed some skin around Feel complete
Out of body Out of mind Out of patience Full of it all

Because you were told to You would never Because you were told to You will always
Inside this mess We create A brand new taste For something bitter Something that will truly Stand out Yet get us Nowhere
Beautiful You are so beautiful Silently drifting Through your disgrace Such a tragic begining And an ending Written in stone
You are so alone All together Silently drifting Into the fog
This was never meant to be Anything at all This just may become The only thing Left to Believe in

As many of you know, my writing is on hold at the moment until I can get all of the poems under copyright and gather some art to put in the book. In the mean time, Death Of The Lotek has been asked to be on a comiplation cd. We are taking votes on which song should go on the cd and are asking anybody with 2 minutes of free time to stop by the site, give the songs we have up a listen, and send us a message saying which song you'd like to see on the cd. Don't know too much about how everything is gonna go down as of yet. Only know that the cd will get distributed on some upcomming tours of some big name bands in the metal genre.
If you haven't already, go to http://myspace.com/deathofthelotek and ADD US TO YOUR FRIENDS!!! Don't forget to rate/comment on the music and let us know what you'd like to see on the compilation.

Right. So I have all the poems that are going in the first book typed. Need to type another 1 1/2 notebooks worth and every single poem written up to this point will be ready for copyright. May end up in MD a bit earlier than September the way things are looking now, so...at least enough poems for the first book are done. Now I am working on getting some artwork together. May draw some of my own or ask Neil to help me seeing as I'm not so gifted with the art (prime example: pictures in my profile).
If you get the time....MAKE the time rather...go check out Neil's new music at, http://myspace.com/deathofthelotek and also stop by my main page at, http://maryannswebs.tripod.com . Both sites have been updated and need some attention.
'Nuff updates for now. This ended up sounding more like a bulletin post than a blog post. ~sigh~ How lame we are.

So far I have about 125 out of 400 poems typed and ready for copyright. Only started working on this about 2 weeks ago so I think I'm making pretty decent progress. All 400 poems are planed to be typed and ready for copyright by early December so that I can get them copyrighted on a trip to MD around Christmas. The copyright office is in Washington D.C. which is only a 2 hour drive from where I'm going to be staying. Makes everything a lot easier. I can have everything done in 15minutes rather then waiting 4 months to do everything through the mail. The book I expect will be available for purchase sometime early 2006. Previews of artwork and poems included in the first book will be available end of December 2005/early January 2006. Yeah I know you all can probably figure the date thing out yourselves, but just in case some of you can't I figured they should be supplied. The subtitle, "This is a test" is defenitly getting changed, probably to "Deal With It" or something along those lines. Enough for now, later all.
