I wonder what its like to be the rainmaker I wonder what its like to know that I made the rain Id store it in boxes with little yellow tags on everyone And you can come and see them when im...done, when Im done
I wonder what its like to be a super hero I wonder where Id go if I could fly around downtown From some other planet, I get this funky high on yellow sun Boy I bet my friends will all be...stunned, theyre stunned (chorus) Straight up, what did you hope to learn about here If I were someone else, would this all fall apart Strange, where were you, when we started this gig, I wish the real world, would just stop hassling me
I wonder what its like to be the head honcho I wonder what Id do if they all did just what I said Id shout out an order, I think were out of this man get me some Boy dont make me wanna change my...tone, my tone (chorus)
Please dont change, please dont break The only thing that seems to work at all is you Please dont change, at all from me To you, and you to me (chorus)

My baby is 11 months old today... She has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on the bottom. She's mobile. Well, sort of. She's still a roller. She's started scooting forward and backward within the past couple of weeks, so that's promising. She stands really well, so she could very well start walking before crawling. And she talks. And talks and talks and talks and talks. She says "I love you" and "all done", along with things like mama, daddy, dadda, baba, hi, up, out, bye-bye and puppy. Well, she's trying to say puppy anyway. She has a lot of other words, too, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. I took her to the doctor a few weeks ago for a cold, and when she was weighed, she was 21 lbs and 12 oz. I can imagine she's over 22 lbs now. Her last measurements (at 9 months), came into the 80+ percentiles, her head at over 97. Her next check up is on May 15, and I'll post the actual numbers .

I haven't been on MySpace a whole lot recently, just checking for messages and comments here and there. I've had a lot going on with me and I've been doing a lot of sorting in my head. But, that's not why I'm blogging today. My daughter has been growing in leaps and bounds and it just amazes me every day that she's mine. She's mobile and she's great at getting to where she wants to be. Her favorite place to be in the living room is within kicking distance of the glass doors of our entertainment center. She talks now. Her first word was on Christmas day. She looked at Daddy and said "hi" with a huge smile on her face. She said "mama" the day before, but not to me, or anyone in particular really. And yesterday, she told Auntie "up" when she was done in her swing. She'll be 8 months old in a week. Wow. I still just can't believe it.

Why, as a grown woman (or man, whatever), would you tell someone to grow up and then turn around and act like a spoiled little kid yourself??
Not saying that I've never done it, and I don't think I do it that often, however others seem to, and I just don't understand why it happens.
Please share your insights with me people

Okay, so I know that in my last blog I said that I wasn't all that scared or worried about SamSam being paralyzed because we just went through it with Puddles, but that was before I realized how much pain he's in. Sam is one of the most docile and gentle dogs you could ever hope to meet. And he's been biting. Not only has he been biting, but he's been biting Heather, Steve, me and even Puddles. He hasn't broken any skin or drawn blood or anything, but I think I'm gonna have a bruise under my thumbnail from this morning. I know the biting is because he's in pain since he usually yelps or whines before or after biting, but still, that's not my puppy. I just don't know what to do for him until Monday when he goes to the vet. Baby aspirin isn't really working for the pain and he doesn't like the massages that we were told to do to help Puddles and when you touch him in certain places, you get to hear how much pain he really is in. If anybody has any kind of advice on what to do until Monday, PLEASE let me know. I'll take what I can get right now...

Miss Puddles is doing beautifully. She's walking, she's running, she's jumping (still can't get up on my bed, but even I have a hard time with that from time to time) and she's climbing stairs. I really couldn't be much happier with her results. I guess it's a good thing acupuncture works, because now my Samael is paralyzed from the "waist" down. It really sucks, but I'm not nearly as scared this time becuase I know we got through it once. The only thing that I wish I could change is the fact that I won't be able to take him to Dr Lisa until next week some time (just paid rent, so cash is a smidge on the tight side this week). But, at least we know what to do now until we get him in to see her. Right now, my biggest hope is that Mackenzi doesn't take it too hard. She's always had a special bond with SamSam. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know what's up. I'll keep you posted on his progress. Wish us luck!!

This is what's new in my world...
-I got a new job. I started on the 8th. I'm a Data Entry Quality Analyst for a company that stores and transfers medical records. I don't have to do any phone time, which is great, cuz I was getting a little burned out on customer service. Heather is watching Jaylen for us, since Steve and I are now both working second shift.
-Steve will be starting a new job where he works. He'll be in the chemistry department. I'm not entirely sure what the job is exactly, but I do know that he'll be doing a lot of work with the different combinations of chemicals that they work with at the plant. He'll also be moving to third shift when he starts this job.
-Jaylen is 4 months old, as of the 14th. We went to her 4 month checkup on the 15th. She is now 25" long, 15 lbs 4 oz and her head is 43 cm (80th, 85th and 94th percentiles). Doc said to go ahead and start her on foods, to skip the cereal and go right to the veggies. 3 times a day. We started her on green beans, which she likes and dislikes, depending on the bite. Apparently, she's also teething, which I find a little hard to believe, but I'm not the doctor. And her motor skills are right on track, maybe even a little ahead of the curve .
-Caitlyn had her first shots on the 18th. She gave some very heart-wrenching screams, but aside from that, she took them like a champ. She weighs almost 9 1/2 lbs now and is 20 inches long. She's still just so tiny. But she's healthy (aside from being a little colicky) and she's strong and that's what matters most.
-Heather now gets to be a stay-at-home mom, which she enjoys.
And I think that's pretty much it for updates at this point.

Her big, blue eyes.
Her crazy mad-scientist hair.
Her big, open-mouth baby grin.
How she grabs my hand when I'm feeding or holding her.
Listening to her "talk" to her stuffed animals in her crib through the baby monitor.
The way she looks like she accomplished something huge when she has a poopie diaper.
How she grins and giggles when I change her diaper.
How she hugs me and gives me kisses.
How she plays with her feet and "tells" me when she gets her socks off.
The smiles she gives when she rolls from tummy to back.
The look of intense concentration on her face when she's watching TV.
The way she gets excited when she sees me or Daddy.
The way she gives the puppies kisses.
Her immensely good mood in the mornings.
Her pouty face when she's tired.
The grunting sounds she makes when she gets her bottle.
The look of surprise she gets when she lets out a big burp.

I will be leaving shortly to take Kayly back to Milwaukee, cuz her aunt (who causes me to use a lot of expletives from time to time) won't let her start the school year up here, and of course, her lazy @$$ won't come up here to get her. But we'll get her back soon. If it kills me.
But for good news, Puddles can now jump up on the couch at Perri and Shawn's and she runs. Kind of.
Oh, and Jaylen found her feet today!! I love watching babies play with their feet. I think it's just the cutest thing ever!!

so the circumstances surrounding caitlyn and her arrival into the world don't sit well with you. big fucking deal!! they don't need to sit anywhere with you. and, yes, you raised a child on your own for the first 8 years of his life. good for you. too bad you're not the first woman to do so. yeah, you had to go back to work after 5 weeks off. again, you are not the first woman to do so. there is not a damn thing you haven't been there and done at least 3 times in your life, and anything we've done or gone through, you've had it worse. we get it. you don't need to keep reminding us. and you calling someone else a know-it-all... isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? i mean, have you looked at yourself lately? seriously. not everyone has the same 'direction' in their lives that you do. you know what i mean, being unemployed when you have a perfectly good cosmetology background and raising birds. and yes, she did get pregnant by a married man while not being the one he's married to. she is also not the first woman to do so. if i don't have a problem with it (being that man's wife), you really shouldn't have one either. or you should at least be over it by now. i mean, caitlyn is close to 7 weeks old by now, so you've had several months to come to terms with it. even so, it's not your problem, so i really have no idea why you're spending so much time worrying about it.

Puddles is walking now. She's still a little lopsided and walks kind of goofy since the muscles in her back legs have gone soft from not being used. She's building them up though. She can't jump anywhere or climb stairs yet, but that should come with time... Hopefully... But she can roam the house now and go to the food and water on her own now. She's also been wrestling with Samael and me. Sam moves around her and is careful not to jump or land on her back end, which is very cool of him. She's so much happier now and her tail wags pretty much all the time. I'm so excited!!
