.... “And with these words, you will learn that I am nothing more than how you have already perceived me.” –D.J.E.
Do not read this poem
If you cannot fathom our horizons As one beautiful bond
Friendship blessings Admiring my humanity, so strong
Hold close my strengths and weaknesses Do not be afraid If I fall
Catch me, if you will For my foundations can hold us Through these darkest of nights
Place your trust on my fingertips We shall take flight
…
Do not listen to this poem With witless carelessness
Relishing in austere silence Upon my scarred premise Built on redemptions’ prayer
If you only plan to run a w a y I will not beg you to stay
And if you’re already gone Good
No need for blindfolded critics With attitude ready to smudge this
For I am friends with ONE JUDGE And He has already forgiven
…
Do not run from my poem If you know how to embrace my realness
Momentary harshness Shines in sunrays Fueled by my heart
Humanity, my song Few will question its purpose
No hidden lyrics No Satanic messages
Only spoken From the book of Realness Chapter Harsh: Verse Truth
…
Do not make love to my poem With unbridled intensity
Spreading your legs In Haste’s reflex With mouth wide open
Ready to show me who you are inside
When you do not know who I am…inside
Do not speak ill of my poem If misapprehension is your friend
Gossip clans Obstructing poetic justice, I rip
If my truths are misconstrued Be gone! Good luck to you
For I may be no angel But my purity Never justified in flight with Scotch Tape wings
…
Do not wonder about this poem Wonder if I speak of you
For those who are true My words Engraved upon hearts of all
You know who you are
My hours and minutes in these breaths of time No need to speak in validating rhyme
…
Do not cry over my poem Upon my departure from Earth’s grasp
Absorb my verbiage as I spit
Cherish this momentary bliss With no conflict…this momentary bliss
All shall witness My true colors Shining Thru
…
If you cannot understand my voice If you cannot respect my all If you cannot value these moments If you cannot walk with me in the path I roam
Then please…do not read this poem.

"Life is simply an ocean…you can admire its depths, you can explore its realms, you can even hope to have somebody swim with you. BUT, at the end of the day, you still need to come back up for air and look at the horizons with your bare feet dug into the sands called…time. And breathe those winds…of balance." -D.J.E.
“Enough”
In these minutes I witness
Humanity in complexity Sobriety their enemy Listless robotic society
Bible thumpers spitting words From blank pages’ amnesia Preaching unity in homophobe tones
Miraculous disasters They should’ve phoned home
Lackluster shining stars Hypocrisies’ intelligence Under pre-pubescent voice irregularity
Wet dreams become pet peeves Over things they refuse to achieve Never breaking free Bilingual in English and Slavery
Whipped by chains of non-existence Rusted into nightmarish ecstasy Escaping clutches into stubbornness Hard-headed orgies Climactic stains left on blankets of stupidity
Waiting upon Insomnia to clean it up
And yet they want our company In their misery
No more!
No more time for miseries’ wallow Enough of these goodbyes The nights & dawns will be my guides For I am ready for simple hello’s & hi’s
Is that TOO much to ask?!

"May the judgmental become friends with a mirror…" –D.J.E.
“Faces”
And I stand Microphone in possession
Some identities in crisis Observing my verbal foreplay Listening to where my attitude will sway Ready for pre-deceived notion
Ill-conceived potions they drink
Loneliness’s hope in poetic dedication…disturbed
Judgmental hypocrite language Wrapping arms around me
Laughter spews across Julius Cesar flashbacks Lyrical tongues hiding razors Under tasteless intent
Gentle French kisses Siren voice greetings Unimpressive stand-offish posterity
Falsified togetherness Everything is butterflies & roses Yet I have witnessed no apologies
...
And I stand Microphone in possession
Some faces are analyzing Inconspicuous tendency
These words I speak Clarity…misunderstood
Uninspired copycats walking Cold shoulder language Inaccurately corrupt perceptions
For the eyes of oblivious Spitting pestilence coated in Born Again positivity Pretentiously…false
You shall not dent my will!
These faces among us Layered in Immaculate Deception wishes Phony testimonies Protruding screams in façade…
And I stand Microphone in possession
Cri-ticks…submissively perceptive Used to living on Avoidance Boulevard Now evicted
Visionary deprivations Admiring my strengths As I walk Feet enveloped in Mother Nature’s genesis
Pride and joy My sunrise and sunset Hearing songs of Solace As she waits…at the end of these rhymes… Until the end of my times
…
Holding my inner core on palm Calm envelops me in song
My power, cherished Remembered Reminded
To never change who I am Simply improve…who I have always been.
And, here I stand Microphone in possession
Looking into this crowd Pondering…
How…How I ask you all?!
How Will you Look at me now…

“Alive”
Keeping hope within grasp Smiles inherited
Caminando (Walking) In steps
Transcendence my elevator Elevating cornea visionary Dreams Within arms’ stretch
Mi alma (My soul) Llorando para dias mas brillas (Crying for brighter days)
Fingers tremble As I write my rights Typing these strengths into Lyrical lineage
My rhymes drift in transverse Uplifting aura
Downward shift beyond insanity’s requiem To my home called One
Where some perceivers will always question My intent infused From within
Attempting word fusion validation Reading between these lines Foggy-eye syndrome 20/20 blindness
As they stand outside narcissistic white picket fences Painted in plastic Speaking in fickle language I…
Simply toss out the weeds Water my flower garden With tears Of absolute peace
Wishing upon my stars One-faced friends…my constellations For we know we will defend Each other
From harm’s way For I keep THEM closer
For it is THEY Who revolve around my world
Because THIS WORLD does NOT revolve around me It grows WITHIN Incipience on my fingertips Caressed by family’s touch
…
And it is with these reminders Where I know what truly matters
Each new breath I breathe
ALIVE My all continues to be

"Spur of the Moment" (A collab with Briana Rose Lucero & Drake J. Eszes)
Not feeling that hunger just yet
But I can feel it growing inside
When the time comes
There will be no where to hide
These butterflies
Eyes sense intensity absolute
Fluttering wings
Sing in anticipation's unison
Beckoning to me with sweet sound
Longing increasing my stride
Seeking pleasure in each other's arms
Skin to skin, the hunger craving now...within
Massive sensations
Thrust mimicking exploration's depth
Intimate breaths solidified
Tonight, lust ain't trying to hide
Penetrating deep inside
Mind, soul, body, the ultimate high
Back arched, legs locked
All consuming drive
Gentle aggression
Sultry screams...silent
No fear
Clamoring breath's symphony
Passions in rhythm...we climb
As one
Appetite ablaze fulfilling need
Climactic exchange two bodies bound
Around her world
Lips surround sensual delicacy
Breathless......Fingernails on back's tension
Simmering down to orgasm's dull roar
Yearning now satiated
Pulses become still
Only to lock eyes
Hunger calling once more...

Current mood:So damn focused!
Category: Writing and Poetry
For the past 4 yrs, I’ve done an annual writing (around the end of the year) called, “To All”. It’s, ultimately, a reflection about this year and what I’ve learned…and seen.
2010 will be a great year. For each new day presented, is a new opportunity to right the wrongs…complete the tasks…and fulfill the hopes…of yesterday.
“To All – 2009”
To all
The blind egos
Discourteous divas
Nothing more than a C.E.O.
Corrupted Egomaniac Oppressor
Sedentary mindset
Wishing to be on top of the world
Just remember…your shit does stink.
Please don’t make me put out
An amber alert on your soul
To all
Those who have run to alternate sex
Replacement dick
Plan B’s lips
Booty call’s hips
Because silence took over
For 3 seconds
Couldn’t wait no more
Loneliness will always be your sloppy seconds
To all
Drama Queens
Yelling in tones
Louder than inner beauty’s song
Wasting my oxygen
Because things aren’t going your way
Lashing out more lyrics
To your “Pity Me” song
In blood lettering
Lacking definition
Your direction…dehydrated
Asphyxiated wishes
In a choir of whiny bitches
It takes a man to stand their ground
But it makes a man to walk it
To all
The “Broken Wings”
Insatiably incapable
Striving for another’s goals
Leech
Parasitical speech impediment
Eyes of cowardly resentment
Screaming for the world to see you cry
And you wonder why your sorry ass can’t fly
To all
The girls I’ve loved before
Who played those false intention games
In & out my door
I’m glad you came along
But, honestly
I’m really happy that you’re gone
To all the girls I’ve loved before…
To all
High School mentalities
Possessed in 30, 40, & 50 yr old bodies
Acting like One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl extras
Soap opera whores
Show’s been cancelled
Return to your lives
Think for yourselves!
Create new moments
Let those be your new chapters…unscripted.
Because you are
The only author of your book
To all
Those who stopped believing in love
Love shall always exist
But only if you open your eyes
Mind
Arms
Awaken
Be true to your soul
To all
Those who have broken free
Escaped from dependency’s cord
Shattered the iron fist’s of another
Do not
Look
Back
Walk your soul’s foundation
Scream in symphonies
“Joy” No. 5
No need to speak in metaphorical code
Just tell it like it is
Raise your hands into the sky
Cry your cries
Let your heart be what it decides
Learn how to stand with pride
But know when to swallow it
Let not the two-faced break your all
Achieve new heights impervious to envy’s call
Be real with thy self
And speak in one voice…
…ONE VOICE!
For all shall be witness to your awakening!
As you rest your laurels to the winds!
…
To all
Who wonder their value
Within my heart
Who have forgotten
How even the busiest of my days
Are still cherished by
2 minutes of vocal togetherness
I shall protect
I shall love
I shall respect
I shall pray
For each of you are
The “U”
In my sanctuary
And all you have to do is
Just call my name
And
I will
Be there

Inspired by another great song from Foo Fighters:
“It’s times like these” - (The prelude for “To All (2009)”)
And in this moment
With wandering thoughts
Melancholy perceivers
Bumbled eyes upon illegible verbiage
I simply fathom
Why
Why simplicity cannot reign
Why smiles cannot last into morning’s new breath
Why concern cannot be genuine
Why we are ridiculed for honesty
Because another cannot stand for it
Why some run
When foundation’s fallacy is destroyed
And truth
Makes them ill
It’s times like these
Where I
Must simply pray
And not only HOPE
For better days
But CREATE
Better days
It’s times like these
Where I wish
Lost souls
Will find their way
Escape tears’ rope
Destroy dependencies’ existence
Gently remove pity’s arms
And simply hold the hands of incipience
It’s times like these
When we need to give back
Instead of absorbing
Attention’s Overabundance Disorder
Waiting
For more
With puppy dog sadness
It’s times like these
To scream moon’s howl
Head up high
Ferocity not only written
Spoken
But initiated
It’s times like these
Where privacy begs to be our best friend
And emotional public displays
Are set free
It’s times like these
We are to live again
Harness equal opportunities
To shine
But we do no such thing
It’s times like these
Where burning a bridge
Is the only way people will ever listen
To reason
After the smoke clears
It’s times like these
When there will be no apologies
For the truth…

Category: Writing and Poetry
Inspired by a true classic from Kenny Rogers...
“Lady”
Sensuality
In D Minor’s presence
C-Flat’s essence
Love monotone
This moment’s stranger
Locked in romance’s embrace
Tears suppressed
Confessional sins
No longer exist
My lady, you’ve walked along my side
Thousands of hours
Blessed upon my pride
Identities falsified
Tried to kiss this hand of mine
But time revealed my way
Baptismal ritual upon eyes
Healed corneas
Retinas impervious
To anguish’s past
Hands now flesh to flesh
Softness envelops
Egyptian cotton dreams
Angelic renditions
Visions
Our candlelight
To this song
Cantando (Singing)
In whisper’s bliss
Won’t you believe in my song?
My lady…
Silent moments we can share
My fingers through your hair
With smiles deciphered
No riddles to this adoration
No barriers on our windows’ soul
No conspiracy theories
In this epic moment of simplicity
To get the best of me
With each new day
As I breathe
You
In
This uplifting love
Upon angelic pedestal
Our garden of lilies & tulips
Watered only
By moments
Memories
Sunshine’s chant
Sigh
My lady…I don’t know much
I don’t know much
My soul is not a book-smart student
I just have a Bachelor’s in Life & Love
My teacher
Within
And He will be my guide
For I am not
A knight in shining armor
Saddled upon white horse fantasy
I don’t even know if I can be your savior
But I
I
Am simply
Just a peasant
Ready
To share 1 of my 2 cents
With you

“Shame”: (A collab by Drake J. Eszes & Mickey A.)
Collective unconsciousness
Withering hearts latching onto
Mindless beings
Listless tongue lashing freaks of Nature
Abandoned by Mother
Precociously misled
Single personality disorder
A wandering pestilence
Distorted correspondence
In hyperbole’s blindness
With distorted signals and counterfeit dignity
Without respect for reality
An artificial world kicks change into salary
People feel strange in the artist’s gallery
Bar Codes have the masses now addicted
Copyright restrictions have been inflicted
I-Phones taking sole control over those who purchase lies
Technology controls their minds
Searching for life’s answers
There is no app for that!
What is to be nature’s cure
Cannot be so obscured
Prostitution of mind steals the form of what’s divine
Every individual is granted choice to be aligned
Instead they rely upon 6 inches of bitterness
Some spies among us
Some thieves who say they love trust
Generic knowledge
Complimentary insults
Blood of the hypocrite
Drops from tongue
Arrogant hostility their domain
Demonic inversion
And the perversion of “a-dults”
In a world that has no shame
Svelte voices
Conspiring reticulate togetherness
False intent speaking volumes
In a world that has no shame.

"Speechless"
Y ahora (And now) Estas mirando me (You look at me) Esperando me (Waiting for me) Provocando me (Provoking me)
Buscando (Searching for) Me
Que tu quieres a decir (What is it that you want to say?) Sus ojos (Your eyes) Mas brillo (Very brilliant)
Pero estas Llorando (But you cry) Rasgones (Scars) Duele (Aching) Sin amor (Without love)
But there you are Silent Silent
Words justified In mute's tongue Hung
Restricted by Hesitation's barrier
Tu corazon (Your heart) Quieres hacer (Wants to create) Momentos (Moments) Memorias (Memories)
Pero silencio (But silence) Reinados (Reigns)
So why do you look at me With such lustful drive
Resistance Ready to escape vocabulary's chains
For you are speech Less
Undeniable touch Abrazando mi alma (Holding my soul) Respirando con calma (Breathing with calm)
This battle of wits I will grasp As I take hold Embrace
Fingers taste Slow dancing On neck
Besame otra ves (Kiss me again)
But I object
Mi razon (My reason) Cade tranquilidad (Stays quiet)
As I step back Turn away She takes my hand With gentle aggression
Sin inhibitiones (Without inhibitions) Seduction explodes
Sin palabras (Without words) En un mente cogida (In this mind fuck)
