That's right, my pretties, two more chances for you to get your hands on an autographed copy of 'Sanctuary of Darkness'. 

The first date is Saturday, June 6th, at Hastings on Rangeline in Joplin, MO.  This is my third signing there, and, as usual, I will be there from noon to 5p.m.

The second date is Saturday, June 20th, at Hastings on Broadway in Pittsburg, KS.  I will be there from 1-3p.m., so stop by and show your support.

Yes, my pretties, you read right, I am returning to Hastings for a repeat performance.  My first book signing was such a great success that I have decided to do it again.  So if you are wanting an autographed copy of SoD, this is the event for you. 

Details...I will be at the Hastings store on Rangeline in Joplin, Mo, from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturaday, January 17th...that's about it for details.

Greetings friends, fans, and fellow bedlamites,

It seems the time has come for my first book signing, which will be taking place this weekend.  Saturday (December 13) I will be at Hastings on Range Line, in Joplin, MO, from noon to 3, autographing volumes, so feel free to stop by for that.  Also, if you are still looking for that perfect Christmas gift for the vampire lover on your shopping list, this is a perfect oppurtunity to get a great volume, personally autographed by the author.  Anyways, I hope to see you there.

Of course, as you probably already know, my vampire novel, 'Sanctuary of Darkness' is now available through amazon.com, as well as many other online retailers. 

Synopsis:

Being plagued by dreams and then brought into a world of darkness, Titus carries with him the two most powerful emotions his mortal life taught him; love and hate. As a mortal he longed for death and craved revenge for the wrongs done unto him, as a vampire he desires love and a deeper understanding of what he has become. His existence, both as a mortal and an immortal, tell a story of hope and deception, making Sanctuary of Darkness a tragic tale of love, desire, and betrayal.

I must say that from the beginning this book had me hooked. Set in first-person, the story begins with an introduction by the main character, letting you know from the start that he is a vampire. However, the story then steps back and takes the reader into this character's life, telling of just how this transformation took place for him. It tells of his life before he was immortal, and the turn of events that took place and brought him into his newfound state of damnation. It also tells of the unfortunate tragedies that befall him after he is made immortal, allowing for a fuller and more complete story.


However, despite being a vampire novel, this is much more dramatic than your typical horror story. To me, this is a little less "horror" and much more "story", telling the life of this character in a very believable way. The author here has truly made the myth of vampires seem very believable, taking away the usual aspects that one would normally find in a vampire novel. There are no bats, or any mention of garlic for that matter, but instead a realistic story that left me hooked to the very end.


Though comparisons are few and far between, all I can say is that if you like such works as Anne Rice's early vampire novels, or maybe even some of Stephen King's work, then take a chance on this novel. You shouldn't be disappointed.
