Life sucks right now. Look where I am. Look at what's going on. I'm up right now and I look at the clock. 2 am. THE DEADITES just got off stage. Two hours ago I didn't bother to look at the clock, so I could prevent myself from realizing that the Deadites just got onto the stage. I can't be there. I'm not 21 yet.

BAAALLLLLLSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would pay more money than anyone at the show to be there right now. I would pay $100 for JUST The Deadites set, nevermind more for the whole night.

HELLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should've been at The Lucky Dog Music Hall HOURS ago! I'm breathing heavy just because I know what I missed!

If anyone has footage or pictures of the show, let me know. I live for new pictures of The Deadites.

Also, I have a fansite for the Deadites: www.freewebs.com/dstsfansite

Check it out, if you have pictures I would love to put them up there.

On the week of the show, I jusy finished an interview with local rapper, Nytmare, who will will an opening act for The Deadites on MOTHER F! NIGHT TWO, on Saturday, July 21st @ The Lucky Dog Music Hall. I hope you're as stoked as we are.

New England Local Music: How and when did you first discover your talent as a rapper?

Nytmare: Well I never quite recognized it as a talent as much as something I loved to do. I was an articulate kid who wrote a lot, so it was sort of a natural progression after hip-hop spoke to the things going on in my community. I was about 12 years old when I started trying to seriously write rhymes, spit live and take it to the battles.

NELM: Is there an overall motive or concept that you express in your music?

Nytmare: Very "real", very lyrical, tell-it-like-it-is vibe, spoken-word vibe, sometimes very dark and desolate, other times very satirical. Overall I'm a dark realist with satire and cynicism woven in- I'm a storyteller as well. It's hard to characterize it in one word or two because my style is eclectic and raw all at the same time. My vibe is "Nytmare."

NELM: Do you try to lean towards politics in your music?

Nytmare: I definitely don't try to; much of it has little to do with politics. But music is a stream of consciousness for me and when some issues were really at the forefront I've felt the need to express it.

NELM: What's the forecast for your album, Insomniadict?

Nytmare: Inducing sleep deprivation Winter 2007.

NELM: Do you write all of the beats the back your raps?

Nytmare: I focus on writing, recording vocals and leave the instrumentation to my talented friends behind the boards. I have projects with a handful of local producers but most of my material and signature sound was created by Jeremy "JC" Connor.

NELM: What do you try to bring the stage that isn't available in your music by just listening?

Nytmare: I make sure my lyrics are thoughtful and meaningful. That being the case when you just hear my music you are drawn in and want to listen and understand as opposed to some modern hip-hop that is crafted just to sound good collectively but have little substance. That does come across in just listening, but certainly in a live performance when you see how animated I get and how genuine my delivery is; you have a visual element that draws you in even more. That's why I have people often tell me they traditionally don't like hip-hop but really dig my music.

NELM: How do you feel about being part of the Mothers Foundation bill?

Nytmare: Cancer has personally touched my family so having the opportunity to be part of a benefit for such a great cause is truly an honor for me. Not to mention how absolutely amped I am to be sharing the stage with some of the illest bands to ever come out of this city. Saturday night is going to be bananas.

What's all this "Mother F!" plastered on my page?

If you can't answer that yourself, then read up:

Founders and friends Michael Mars Jr. and Nicole Langlois both lost their mother figures to cancer. Turning tragedy into triumph, they were inspired to fight for those who couldn't. The Mother Foundation was formed with the soul purpose to raise money to help fund research and treatment. The first Mother Foundation benefit (Mother F. 1) raised over $2,500 and was one hell of a good time. Proceeds of the event were donated to the American Cancer Society.

Unfortunately the Mother F-ers have been, to say the least, inactive over the past couple years. This year Mars and Langlois return with a vengeance, with not one, but two of the biggest parties this town has ever seen. Featuring a duo of diverse bills (7/20 7/21) highlighting some of Worcester's best and brightest. Each night filled to the brim with award winning super-acts. Both nights go down at The Lucky Dog Music Hall, 89 Green Street, Worcester, MA.

JJuly 20th MOTHER F ! Night One features:

·                                 The Bee's Knees (Worcester Mag's best singer/songwriter & The Pulse's best country act)

·                                 The Luxury (feat. PEZ of Huxley and Gutta fame)

·                                 4inchstud (Awesome Pop from Boston)

·                                 Steve Mossberg (New style American Piano Pop God)

·                                 Thinner (Local Indie Rock Legends)

·

JULY 21st MOTHER F ! Night Two features:

·                                 The Deadites (Worcester Mag's Reigning Best Electronic Act, / Multi-time Best Live Act & Pulse's Best Female Vocalist)

·                                 Huck (Wormtown Sound Award Best Pop Act)

·                                 The Curtain Society (Worcester Mag's Best Pop Act)

·                                 The Pathetics (A punk band that has never won an award, but all have lengthy criminal records)

·                                 Nytmare (the man Dynamo Habeeb has dubbed "The hyper-kinetic Intellectual Hip-Hop Hitmaker")

·                                 Jus Joe (Acoustic Singer/songwriter with a dash of funk)

<FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: 999999">Doors open on both nights at 7 pm, the show starts promptly at 8 pm. Two amazing events, one great cause, all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

The Redneck Kabuki.
The FIVE STAR alcoholic.
I know him as Dynamo Susan Habeeb.
You know him as Dynamo, or that drunk guy from Electro-shockers, The Deadites.
And it's that time of year again, where the old whiskey fueled dinosaur Dynamo Habeeb turns one year older. How old is he again? Old enough to have punched out Mohammed Ali twice, out-drink Andre the Giant, and bang Marilyn Monroe in Joe Dimagio's hotel room.

This Saturday, May 19th Dynamo invites you to join him at the Lucky Dog Music Hall (89 Green Street, Worcester, MA) and celebrate his birthday with his very own band, THE DEADITES. Yep, once again The Deadites rock the Dog with booze, broads and candy. But this time when you go to the show, make sure to wish Dynamo a "happy birthday." Or even better, show your affection by purchasing a Deadites shirt and (ladies) dancing in minimal clothing.

For those of you who do not know, I run a Colorblind fansite on Myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/colorblindfans

For those of you who like Colorblind or want to hear them:

I have a treat from me to you, some new ear candy.
I put up a demo called Stole. It's a preview from the forthcoming Colorblind album, BENEATH THE SURFACE, so be careful with it, don't kill yourself with it. Don't go berserker. Save some energy for the final mixes and the album once it's out. Relax. Enjoy the song. The new album will come out.

Enjoy,
- Ryan.

Here's the amazing Curtain Society version of Across The Universe by The Beatles.
This is one of my favorite covers ever. I forget how much I loved this song, and I feel that I need to share it with you, especially if you're a Beatles fan.

YES! It's true. I shit you NOT!

After a year The Deadites website is finally back up on the web!

AND BETTER THAN EVER!

The new website has an easy-to-control format, but it is loaded with coffin-fulls of new features that have never been available. My personal favorite is the Intro's from past shows such as The 10th Halloween Extravaganza, The 2003 Murder Rave, and the 2004 Dynamo Habeeb B-day bash.

Other savvy new features include bio's on former members of The Deadites, Lyrics, Monster Hunting Tips from Tiny Wight, fan art, press shots, and some of the latest live photographs.

Don't forget to check out some of the interviews and the new smacsh hit, "Gangsta Bitches, Gangsta Hoes."

Visit the new site at www.thedeadites.com

HAVE FUN!
