I just wanted to say thankyou to everyone for their kind messages congratulating me on having been sober for 1000 days. All of my friends here on MySpace have been greatly supportive and I'm very grateful to you all.

By way of a celebration I went to see Per Gessle (from Roxette and Gyllende Tider) at the Islington Academy with the cats from Frog Radio and my friend Mike McCormack.

Tomorrow night is 1001 days sushi night, with the Leg, Dr Best and whoever else is around.

Here's to 1000 more days!

Hi everyone

You may have read that the Leg have had to pull out of the remaining Alter Bridge support shows due to my worsening upper respiratory and throat infection. I've been struggling with the illness throughout the tour but as of today I've totally lost my voice.

I'm gutted that we've had to pull out. I actually believe that we were starting to get through to the crowds, particularly at Brixton where there were large pockets of support for the Leg. Obviously some of the footage looks and sounds hostile but that's only because a boo resonates more than a cheer, and there were some naughty boys and girls throwing things.

The experience of touring with Alter Bridge and Logan has been really positive - the guys from both bands have been really friendly and supportive. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we'd do it all again in a split second.

Don't forget that The Darkness supported Disturbed in 2003 at Brixton Academy. Now THAT was a hostile crowd, one hundred times more violent and abusive than the Alter Bridge/Logan crowd and we still finished our set and came out to meet our adoring public with smiles on our faces. Predictably, they were somewhat less aggressive when we met them face to face.

As far as I'm concerned the booing was playful participation in an ill-conceived rock billing. We had a great laugh and we certainly got people talking. I like to think we were the marmite in an Alter Bridge and Logan sandwich! I'm only sorry we couldn't be there for the remaining dates.

Thanks again for your warm messages of support. I'm resting now and I'm on the mend.

You may have noticed a new YouTube video embedded in my profile...

This is the 'not just the making of' video of the Leg's video for Trojan Guitar. Video. There are shots in there that you won't see anywhere else, including a unique 'arrow-time' sequence and a castle-top guitar solo.

The Leg brutally destroy a cast of thousands and there are delightful cameos from Paul Cornford, creator of the Leg's beloved Cornford amplifiers and three members of Saving Aimee!

Many many thanks to the amazing crew that worked so hard to make the shoot happen, the staff of Hedingham Castle for their warm hospitality, Saving Aimee for saving the day and to all of the wonderful Hotties and Legends that made the journey to Castle Hedingham to appear in or help out on the video - we hope you enjoy the results!

Great music, great.

Hot Leg Needs YOU!

The Leg is shooting a video for Trojan Guitar next weekend.

This will involve swords, sorcery and sauciness in equal measure.

Would you like to charge around in a big field by a castle wielding swords and whatnot? We're after mediaeval re-enactment types with their own costumes, weapons, vague sense of how to wield stabbing implements etc.

The shoot will be in striking distance of London. You'll have to find your own way there but Man Rock, massacre and mayhem lie at the end of your journey. We need as big an army as possible for one day and a select few for the other, when we'll be shooting the big fight scene with the band.

Think Frank Miller's 300 with a little Hawk the Slayer and Krull thown in for good measure.

Send an email to hawkins.video@gmail.com with the following details...

- Your availability from Saturday 30th August to Tuesday 2nd September
- A photo of yourself
- A list of any weapons you're bringing along.

Don't message me on here about this because that would be a waste of time. Contact the director directly at hawkins.video@gmail.com

See you there!

Great music, great.

This from my Hot Leg site...

We've just added a new song to our profile called Trojan Guitar. It's a mediaeval epic with a giant guitar solo in the middle which definitely WILL appear on our as yet untitled debut album.

Trojan Guitar is to be our debut single, but we thought we'd let you savour it for a while as a reward for being such great supporters of the Leg.

As if that weren't enough excitement for one day, we've also uploaded Heroes, which is still available as a free download from the link on the front page of our profile.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Hotties and Legends out there who have really got behind us over the last few weeks. It feels like we're part of something very special indeed!

Great music, great.
