You’ll be excited no doubt to hear that Barbed will be part of the Schiphorst Avant Garde Festival, 4th - 6th July 2008. That’s Germany.
We’re working with visual artist Hester Schofield to perform a gig / installation event all about this: a pilot ran into trouble in 1959 and ejected from his plane. He fell free for 40 minutes right down through the middle of a ten mile high storm cloud. It’s an exciting story alright. Barbed are bringing the sounds, Hester’s bringing the lights and the action. Here's some old stuff. Shame you can't buy that first album any more, nor the new EP that we're yet to even send the masters out for. But when it does come out, it will be old stuff really. We have a policy of never releasing anything until it's passed the 5 year test. Actually it just works out that way but it means we're pretty sure of it when appears. Friendly greetings all round.
