On your first listen to Golden Child, you will no doubt hear the formations of a new dynamic for the relatively seasoned band, Barely Blind. Two years in Los Angeles has given the members the time and the inspiration to fully realize the path and vision they want for years to come. Barely Blind has new music that is as forward thinking as its members. They take influences from music as old school as Fleetwood Mac and The Band to newer bands as crafty and refreshing as Phoenix.

"We feel like even in our early days we never really fit one set genre. We've always managed to write songs that set us apart and I think this is true for 'Golden Child' more than any of our previous works. We are in a time where good music is celebrated. Genres don't much matter anymore and that is such a great thing for songwriters. For us Personally, we are able to channel all sorts of styles that we listen to. We find the rhythm and the grooves in everything from UGK to Phoenix, all the way to Black Sabbath. We contribute our wide variety of listening pleasures to our creative awakening in this song and our future album." says, vocalist Bradley Cuccio.

Since Barely Blind's formation over ten years ago, the band has released eps, been on countless tours and paved their own way in the world of online promotion. Upon moving to Los Angeles in the fall of 2011, they released the bands first full length album for free online. With over 15,000 downloads, shows online and around LA county and one east coast tour; they have spent almost all of their time writing for what they feel to be the truest representation of the path they wish to walk with their band.

Motivated by the desire to make a mark in the world of music, Barely Blind is relentless in their mission to write and record an album in Los Angeles. "Its been a dream of us all to record an album out west. LA has always been this great surge of inspiration for us. Looking back on all the talks and planning, it still seems crazy that we are out here. Living, working, writing. Its a dream come true in itself." The dream will forever survive by the hard work and determination in the band Barely Blind.
