CFB Petawawa has recently welcomed back 2500 Canadian Soldiers from active duty in Afghanistan. These soldiers spent six months in theatre during which time the Canadian Forces suffered many casualties which deeply affected the military community. Base Petawawa is hosting a Family Day Celebration to celebrate the return of these troops.

Barenaked Ladies are excited to be performing at this event, the biggest homecoming of Canadian troops since WWII on Friday June 12, 2009.

The closed event will include special guest Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, His Honour David Onley, and feature various events for the military families throughout the day. The day will be capped off with a BNL performance.

The NASA space shuttle was awoke this morning to music from the Barenaked Ladies. The song "Sound of You Voice" served as the alarm clock selection before the crew headed out for their 5th spacewalk.

How I Roll

Hey everyone. We're all hard at work writing and recording demos for the new album right now. Ed's been up at his cabin working feverishly and sent a couple little videos of the process. Ever wonder how his demos get from the page to the producer? What do you think? Too many steps?

Working Out Jerome

Ok - here's a new Kevin song that he and Ed are working out some guitar parts for. No, this isn't about Jerome Iginla. Sorry Calgary.
