Hey heshers!  It's been a while since we chatted at ya, but for good reason.  We can finally claim our new c.d. to be done and in production.  After putting our noses to the grindstone (studio, mastering, various legal mumbo jumbo) we are thrilled to announce the new Beatallica c.d.!

Masterful Mystery Tour will be released in the US and Japan on Tuesday, August 4th.  Further distro to Europe, Australia, and other areas to follow soon after.  The art is fantastic (right on, Anjl Rodee) and the mash-ups are spot on.  We went for a bit more aggressive feel with this one so you can blame Flemball for the feelings of rage you will soon find pumping through your veins.  Hope you dig the new tunes!

Along with the new disc, we are shooting video beginning this week for 2 songs--remaining a secret until their release.  Get on the Beatallica forum and tell Mike VVeber he's a hesher of highest order!  We expect the first video to be out in time for the c.d. release.  The second video will aim to be out in the early fall and we will be doing a casting call for extras in the Milwaukee area for when we shoot on Sunday, July 12th.  If you are on the regional email list for Wisconsin and Illinois, you will get further info.

Even more...Beatallica will be doing voice ringtones that will be available along with the Masterful Mystery Tour c.d.   Jaymz just completed his recording this week.  Now YOU can have the voices of Jaymz and Kliff in your ear...and the voices of Grg III and Ringo in your dreams.  Maybe even some other voices will be available....???   Access to ringtones will be announced soon.

Of course we will now be updating our main website, myspace, facebook, etc etc.  But come sign up with us on Twitter for quick info pieces:  http://www.twitter.com/beatallica.  The new pics look killer (thanks, Todd Taylor) and we think you will find the theme to be quite a trippy experience.  Give us some time and we'll be invading your personal space in the most politely viral manner possible.....

Oh yeah, shows....   Obviously we are doing a few gigs to welcome in the Masterful Mystery Tour disc.  Join us near our hometown:

FRIDAY, JULY 31
at Liquor Sweets in Milwaukee
3000 S. 13th St.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1
at The Original Mother's in Chicago
    for Tribute-a-palooza Festival
26 W. Division St.

More show dates and happening news to be announced along with the c.d.'s official release.  Again, give us some time and we'll have plenty for you to see, hear, and experience.

Can't wait....hope you have fun with it!

hey kids, jaymz again reporting now from karlsruhe, germany.
spent today at the longest castle in europe and took some killer pics.
the staff there thought we were "important" so they gave us free access
to the chapel in the castle.

the shows so far have been pretty good.  a big surprise was the
show in Toging, Germany last nite.  what a fun crowd!  for only a city
of 9000, it sure held up it's end of the donkey.  Kliff held up the
other end....we wont mention which end that is, but we'll just leave it
to your imagination.

tomorrow begins our stretch of non-stop shows til the end of the
tour.  longer drives, shorter rest = harsh reality.  we'll do our best
to stay healthy.  so far, everyone has been doing well.  we'll have one
more crack at chilling tonite before the home stretch begins.

looking forward to meeting up with our good friend VVeber in
switzerland.  hope he's ready to have a good time with us!  the Hamburg
show was definately a treat as we got to see Bass Inc and co., Torben
and co. Ant and co. and all the other buds we've made along the way.
to be so far from home and have that many folks in your corner is a
real blessing.

more on gigs to follow, provided i have time.  would love to give
you an Easter Bunny report but he and i are on shaky terms.  could be
that hassenfeffer (sp?) i had for breakfast yesterday....

upon arriving in paris on 3/30; our tour manager was inundated w/ text/voicemail messages from metallica’s personnel. lars wanted to attend our show that night. we made sure we had a spot on the guest list for him +1. since our show was sold out; Metallica’s tour manager put us on their guest list for THEIR show the next night. we felt that a fair exchange.

that night the usual hordes of crazed beatalli-bangers showed up but alas; we did not see lars in the front headbanging.

the next day after going sightseeing around paris; (sacre cour, the louvre, notre dame, etc.), we went to see Metallica.

big mick, Metallica’s sound guru for eons, happens to be (along with band and crew) a HUGE beatallica fan. he spotted me and hailed me over to the FOH to confirm we could hang out w/ Metallica after the show. our bands have tried to hook up w/ each other in person but w/ our equally gruelling tour schedule, media appearances etc, that has proven difficult.

Metallica put on the usual great show complete w/ the oldies and newbies. RT’s bass solo was especially inspiring to kliff mcburtney, (so much so that he hopes to emulate it @ our show 2nite in hamburg!)

make sure all you bangers go see Metallica when they are in your city! you will have a headbangin- mosh-out of a time!

so after the show we finally met Metallica. they were equally excited to meet us in the flesh! kirk asked grg III for a guitar pick, rob picked kliff’s brain for some bass tips, jaymz shared laughs and stories w/ a shy james het, and ringo was happy to oblige lars’ request for a photo together. we all hung out for awhile talking shit and taking photos. we were getting tired so we had to break away from they guys, much to their chagrin (i learned some french while in paris!). we all agreed to visit each other more often; say hi etc etc. all in all, a great nite in paris!

...and oh yeah; lars didnt make our show as communication w/ one of his tour personnel (who is no longer w/ Metallica) got screwed up. lars didn’t have the info etc to get to our show. instead he told us he stayed in his hotel room and jerked off to danish porn to which ringo responded “that’s what i’m gonna do when i get back to our hotel!”

ahh drummers they’re all alike.....

Hello all you Beatallibangers!  Jaymz here reporting from the road, on tour in Europe.  Today is show 5 in Antwerp, Belgium.  Our first time here in this grand old city.  We are the only band on the bill tonite,
which is different than the previous days.  I like the sharing of shows....great to meet folks from the countries we hit.....

I must say, though I have before,--The Netherlands kick major ass!  No, not cuz of THAT, you stoners!   The folks here are just really nice people.  The clubs are astounding.  Facilities that do music, art, cafes, etc....All around a wonderful experience.  The band does well here too and buzz continues to grow.  Can't wait to get back here after the new c.d. comes out.

Tomorrow is Paris, another historically great city for us.  We have friends there now and are definately looking forward to having a fun time.  Our first off day is April Fool's Day--the bands birthday!  We'll spend time having a few at the pub, I'm sure.  Possible terrorize the Louvre?

Grg III is playing well, as expected.  He's a pro and we're very happy to have him.  Hell, he's got all the tunes ready to rock....even the ones the band hasn't played out yet.   We're trying to hold back his
enthusiasm...or should we?!?!?

Been taking a lot of video and assorted media jive while playing, hanging out, etc.  We plan on compiling a ton of stuff for internet use and more for the new c.d.  All sorts of things planned and we can't wait to
show you some "home movies".  But, already, there is stuff up on You Tube and the Beatallica forum.  You heshers work fast, eh?

Until then, stay wild.  Oh, and come check us out on Twitter!   Ya, we crossed that bridge....

Come check us out in Milwaukee:

THURSDAY, MARCH 5

BEATALLICA AT TURNER HALL

    WITH (Steven) ADLER'S APPETITE

Steven Adler, Chip Z'nuff....hell yeah, we want them up for "Hey Dude"!

We're trying to make some arrangements to have video of the show.  Should be a great night of rock.....

We have some new friends in Northern Illinois.  Peep our new friend Kimmi at the Metal Deli:  http://themetaldeli.com.  Check out Deli #11 and #8 for Beatallica.  Write in, listen in, and tell her you say HEY!

The Onion-Chicago ran an interview with Jaymz recently.  Get the full scoop on not only Beatallica, but some musical politics as well.  Thanks to David Wolinsky for his tolerating of Jaymz during lunch (minus forks and napkins, I'm sure....):  http://chicago.decider.com/articles/covering-their-bases-beatallicas-jaymz-lennfield,22893/

We even have a new/old buddy in New York--Chuck Kahl from Brand New Sin.  Jaymz spent time with them last time they were in Milwaukee and had a hella good time.  Chuck runs a killer mag called Tool and Die Magazine.  Beatallica is featured in the next issue, coming out soon.  Check it out here:  http://www.toolanddiezine.com

Beatallica is happy to say that the new merch for tour looks awesome.  Our bud out east, Rip Jack, is the mastermind behind our new Ktulu shirt.  Give him a "horns up" on the online forum.  We'll have these in Europe, along with other designs for guys and gals.  I hear that new Sgt. Hetfield's patches and other stuff is lined up for you crazy kids too.....

Can't wait to get out on the road to rock you kids silly....  Oh yeah, here's those Euro tour dates:  http://www.beatallica.org/tour.html

Hella happy holidayz, you crazy heshers!  Well, we made it through another year.  Thanks for sticking with us!  Can't wait to see you kids in 2009.

We're happy to announce a Chicago date coming up quick:

SATURDAY, JANUARY 31 at Double Door with Bible of the Devil

We love Chicago and it's home away from home for us.  Definately come out for this one--it'll be the debut of our new Grg Hammettson!  We'd introduce him to you now, but Jaymz lost Grg's damn intro statement.  Jaymz apparently thought it was a bill and used it to.....you know......

Speaking of getting to gigging, let's update those tour dates for Europe, shall we...?  See you soon Poland and Belgium--we're happy to be back!  We're hitting some new cities and old stomping grounds.  Hope to see you dudes at one of the shows listed at the end of this blog.

..TR>
More tour dates are coming up and we expect you to be there for our first trip of the year!  Check our website for links and other info.

More news on dates, street teamer stuff, and all that is Beatallica will be sent after the new year rings in.  Until then, stay warm, stay heavy, and stay hesh....

Happy holidays, Jingle Bashers!

It's been a while since we sent out an emailer but give us a break!  We've been hard at work recording the follow up c.d.  It's nearly done and it sounds super good!  Can't wait to get it out to you all....  However, that does depend on some various legalities (per usual).  We're hard at work on those issues too and we'll keep you posted on any sort of release date schedule.

So many things going on, but let's get to our Dr. Uber Hesher--Grg Hammettson--for an important announcement:

Grg Hammettson here to tell you that, during these troubled times, please don't let your heart be troubled.  Our president-elect, Obama, says that change is good and a change in Beatallica is in order.  After lots of fun, and 75 shows, I have decided that the demands of eating and paying rent have finally become too much.  I am hanging up my Pepper's jacket and leaving the band called Beatallica.

Don't worry, I like the Beatallica boys just as much now as I did when we were touring the world these past two years.  My passport has a lot of interesting stamps because of these travels and I have seen much to fill my heart with wonder.

Through it all, the most amazing part was just getting to meet all you Beatallibangers in America, Germany, The Netherlands, England, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, and South Korea.  I wont forget any of you.

I have not stopped playing guitar, oh no.  So make sure to keep track of my original band, Crumpler, at crumplerband.com.

Love,
Grg Hammettson

p.s.  I would just like to add that neither Beatallica or Oglio Records forced me to say any of this.

We'll miss our Grg, for sure.  Who else is gonna supply the copious amounts of candy, soda, and smokes at every rest stop we hit?  But as he says, don't let your heart be troubled.  We will be introducing our new guitar player, already in hand and working on some recording, as soon as he gets scrubbed up and properly dry cleaned.  We've known him for many years, just never played together.  It'll be great to have him on board for when we start touring again as he has touring experience and is a dude who is on top of things...even for a rocker....!

Speaking of that, we're happy to announce European tour dates for the Spring!  More to be announced soon, but here's what we have so far for signed confirmations:

Friday, March 27         Netherlands-Enschede @ Red Ribbon Rockf Festival   http://www.redribbonrock.nl
Saturday, March 28     Netherlands-Drachten @ Club Iduna   http://www.iduna.nu
Sunday, March 29       Netherlands-Goes @ 't Beest    http://www.tbeest.nl
Tuesday, March 31      France-Paris @ La Szene   http://www.la-szene.com
Wednesday, April 8     Germany-Karslruhe @ Jubez   http://www.jubez.de
Thursday, April 9         Switzerland-Luzern @ Schüür   http://www.schuur.ch
Saturday, April 11       Germany-Berlin @ Frannz   http://www.frannz.de

Besides the Euro dates, we are working with several agencies on the west coast and northern US for dates.  Our aim is to hit Arizona up to Washington, then back home to Wisconsin.  Looking at other dates in that area as well.  Time frame depends on other foreign travels that we are working on at the same time......  A lot to schedule, but we'll get it done and hit these places we've wanted to hesh it up with for a loonnnngggg time!

So alright then.  Back to Bobby Peru's for more studio shyte....  We'll get another emailer out post haste with more tour dates, an announcement from our new 6-stringer, and other album news!

Happy October!  We love this "Bloody" time of year.  Though we are hard at work on album 2, it's an important time for our All You Need is Blood single.  We're calling on you Beatallibangers to make some noise....

You can rate the All You Need is Blood record on Amazon.com.  It's gotten some great comments, but it's time to hear from YOU!  The more comments logged, the more Beatallica will be out there.  Click on this link and make your comments known:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/r.html?R=1M8UM08L884PQ&C=2BLH8A5NPCTQ2&H=84UAG2W0rR1qAXmd0CahgVITiD4A&T=C&U=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fdp%2FB0017SBLH0%2Fref%3Dpe_606_9567000_pe_ar_d1

Of course you can still pick up All You Need is Blood at:  http://1800coolcds.stores.yahoo.net/850122.html

We know that you Japanese Beatallibangers are way into it--and we love you for it!  The official Japanese release of Blood comes out on October 8th, along with a national t.v. campaign to promote the record.    Beatallica have done a lot of home video stuff, some interview pieces, and shots of us just being goofy.  Thanks to the Sony folks for getting this going!

If you want to pick up the imports of Blood and Sgt Het's, check out this link:  http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/beatallica/.  The Blood record contains a new Japanese version of the song.  The Sgt Het's record features 3 extra live tracks from us in Hannover, Germany.

During October, we are abandoning the studio for a bit and hitting some new cities for gigs.  Check us out live at:

Huntington, West Virginia--Friday, October 17 at Club Echo
Raleigh, North Carolina--Saturday, October 18 at Lincoln Theatre (Monsters of Mock Festival)
De Kalb, Illinois--Friday, October 31 at Otto's (Halloween party show)

Besides these shows, Beatallica is already gearing up and making plans for early - mid 2009.  Parts of Europe and, we hope, Japan are being discussed.  Once album 2 hits, we'll be on the road more often, in the U.S. included.  Do you think we like being cooped up?  Sure, it's fun to create but it's more fun to bring it to you live!

Lastly, we want to announce that there has been an official winner in the House of Hair contest for the Beatallica signed guitar.  Congrats go to Scott Hannah of Seattle, Washington.  Thanks for being a hesher, dude!  There were other c.d. prizes given out as well.  Right on to Pam at House of Hair and Ken Siegel at Music Go Round in Milwaukee for picking up the pieces and getting this taken care of.

Alright then.  Off to Flemball's studio to use all sorts of guitars.....Cheers!

Beatallica
Wednesday, September 10, 2008
Hey YOOOAH!  Dudes, we are stoked.  Not just cuz of the new Kliff McBurtney beer brewing project (good job, Kliff...), but because Beatallica is happy to announce something we've been working on for at least a year now...maybe more.

We now have an official label partner in Japan--none other than Sony ATV.  What a killer thing it is to have overcome the issues of the past to now have a happy relationship with Sony!  In fact, they are super hyped as well.  So much that they are releasing "Sgt. Hetfield's" on Wednesday, September 10 and "All You Need is Blood" on October 1.   Order your copies here:  http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/list_from_code_banner.html?key=429943

The "Sgt. Het's" record will have 3 extra live tracks from a show in Hannover, Germany.  The "Blood" disc will be all enclusive with each translation, a special newly recorded Japanese version of the song, and an extra DVD of our We Rock City-Japan video.  Thanks to Mike VVeber for his generosity and uber-heshness in allowing Sony to use this and getting us a Japanese Beatallica photo from that session (see attached for us wanking off in a low-res pic)!

All of this is a huge step for Beatallica.  Of course the next goal will be to hopefully tour Japan in support of the discs.  It's up to YOU Beatallibangers out there in Japan and elsewhere to grab the discs and let the folks in the business know that you want Beatallica in Japan!  Watch for many articles to come out in September and October, including Guitar Mag, Burrn, Strange Days, Record Collecters Mag, and Barks).

But, though we are crazy over this development, we do have things to concentrate on at home.  How bout some gigs in new cities around the US?

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17--Huntington, West Virginia at Club Echo
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18 Festival Show--Raleigh, North Carolina at Lincoln Theatre:  http://www.lincolntheatre.com
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24--Chicago, Illinois at Buzzbomb Club
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31 Halloween Show!--De Kalb, Illinois at Otto's Nite Club:  http://www.myspace.com/ottosniteclub

On the recording side of things, drums are now done for album 2.  Next step is the strings.  Jaymz will be laying down his scorching bouzouki parts soon....WTF....  Due to legal jive, the record name is not able to be announced just yet.  We are working on song clearances and, well...you know how that goes....But no worries as we have plenty to share with you.   You'll just have to come see us live to hear some of the new shyte before it goes to press!

We leave you with these fun tidbits.  Beatallica members in their other projects for you to check out.  Wont you be surprised?!

Hey we're compiling questions from Beatallibangers for our website. Write into this address with any question you would like to know about members of the band:

beatallica@sbcglobal.net

We are taking questions til Aug 1. Just another fun way for you folks to be interactive with us goofballs.  It's meant to be an out of the ordinary Q & A, so be creative!  But if you want to know what type of gear Grg is destroying right now, you can ask that too....
