In the past, we used the MySpace blog to announce new developments within BDO.  However, we found that blogging on this site is not well read or exposed.  So, in an effort to gain more exposure to the many developments of BDO we are combining our two blogs and will use only the Wordpress blog.  Please continue reading about our organization at the new location:  http://www.beatingdebt.wordpress.com.

Today, we are still working on the finer points of the new website that is suppose to come out on the 20th of July.

It is going to be a great step from the original one!

On May 5th, the IRS authorized BeatingDebt.org to be a non-profit, tax exempt organization.  Now we are legally able to help families with their goal to reduce debt by providing education, the community of the internet, and encouragement.  Check out the website for more information.

I went ahead and started a BeatingDebt.org Flickr Group.

This group celebrates pictures of people beating their debt. Pictures of people racing to beat debt, doing their finances, balancing their check book, achieving small financial successes, getting rid of credit cards, getting their first paycheck, finding great deals, and families together, because they have committed to beating debt.

I hope you look into it and show off your pictures of happiness and freedom.
