Category: Quiz/Survey
I'm making a "Jeopardy" type of Flash animation game to put up at BibleRhymes.com.

I have a bunch of questions with four options to pick from for the answer.

For example...

Under the category of Christmas a 300 point question is this:
------------------------------------
How did shepherds learn of the birth of Christ?

A - Newspapers
B - Family
C - Angels
D - Farmers

Answer = C, Angels
-----------------------------------
And if you guys want to help me make the most comprehensive, interesting and fun Bible trivia game for kids please send questions and answers just the way I have it above.

And if your kids at church or youth group want to contribute questions and answers I'm open to it all! I want the BibleRhymes games and books not only interactive for people who are playing or reading them, but I think there are many of the games that will turn out the best if allll kinds of people are a part of the creation process.

So please help!!

And then play your hearts out!  (I won't tell).

=)

Quite often the topic of love gets overlooked from day to day. I want to change that culture as much as I can. Apparently other people do too...

Today someone prodded me to open up the book of Galatians in the Bible. They wanted a short description of the love written about in Chapter 5, Verse 22. In turn I want to prod you to open up the book of Galatians to at least Chapter 5. It would give you the opportunity to think about love and all of the other gifts endowed upon us by our Creator.

And in response to the request I was given, here's my description of the love that was being referred to:

-

Love from the Spirit comes in all forms as love has no other origin.

But as love is used in the context of Galatians 5:22 it is important to look at Galatians 5:14 - For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you. Treat other people the way you want to be treated; because love makes the world go ‘round.

-

And don't ever forget it!!

I just got done writing a poem for a young lady that seems to be a very special one.

Camp Friends

My friend went to a camp to help out with the young people that were there and from my point of view she got way more than she gave. Yes, indeed she did offer her caring hands and allowed the camp to provide extra warmth for the children. But on the flip-side she was filled with more love and caring feelings than she knows how to deal with!

Her donation of time and energy has been rewarded by what seems to have been an eye-opening experience. Giving of herself gave a pure love from the Lord the opportunity to explode within her. And I guarantee you this; she'll never forget it.

And to help show the camp girl how my friend feels I wrote Camp Friends.

I hope you enjoy...

I've been working night and day on projects for my company.

For a year BibleRhymes.com has been sitting pretty much stagnant. Soon it will all change. You guys will finally be able to see what our team has come up with.

Then I'll have a breath of fresh air and time to write.

And write and write and write...

It might just come to the point that you'll have to tell me, "Be quiet!"

But if I do get quiet it'll only be because I'm busy scuba-diving.

It's going to be a good winter. Be prepared!

Big hugs.

Don't ever stop.

"Stop what?" you may ask.

Being happy and making other people happy (not necessarily in that order)...

Don't ever stop loving. Don't ever stop being lovable.

"Why?" you may ask.

But if you do ask that you probably just need a nap or a restful night of sleep.  =)

And in conclusion, promise to be good today.

Always,

Every child with a good upbringing is taught something as they are growing up; don't take advantage of the weak. Every adult with a moral conscience has learned that lesson and taken it to heart.

If you look out at nature (which is often a beneficial exercise when trying to understand people) you can see animal instincts in action. Survival of the fittest has been the determining factor of what species of animals, plants and insects thrive on this world.

When lions go out for dinner they are not unlike people. There is a reason that McDonald's and Pizza Hut's can be seen across the globe; people don't always enjoy working very hard to get their meals. For that same reason lions don't pick the lead bull in a herd of water-buffalo when they're deciding on what to eat; instead calves are a much more tempting  offer.

When animal instincts are in action; taking advantage of the weak is the common way of life. What differentiates people from animals? Our spiritual nature...

In the world we live in there are people from all walks of life. But regardless of our backgrounds each of us has the opportunity to go through the same journey. This journey is a spiritual evolution. And by the time a person has taken their first breath as a baby, their journey has already begun.

Even if parents are willing and capable of teaching their children all of the admirable manners imaginable, when their children are babies there will almost undeniably be crying, whining and screaming as the children instinctually bellow out for attention and food. Now contemplate what would happen if these animal instincts are never overcome through spiritual development.

We can be taught the difference between right and wrong. Little boys can learn at a young age not to push little girls. All kids can be told not to pick on the disabled. Properly raised young men know to open doors and carry groceries for ladies and the elderly. These lessons are taught because people know it's not only good to not take advantage of the weak (or less able) but also to help them.

And as children are learning these lessons and becoming more aware of the world around them, the society they are blossoming in, their spirit has the opportunity to be continuously developing. And if their spiritual side is alive and functioning then as the saying goes, "Let your conscience be your guide."

As we are on this journey, this evolution, deep in our guts we know what's right and wrong. We know when it's time to help people. We know when it would be wrong to take advantage of our strengths. And this leads me to point out a young man that deserves recognition for a wonderful gesture he displayed on the football field.

Thamail Morgan
had the ball and the chance to score a guaranteed touchdown. Instead he graciously chose to take a knee and let the clock wind down. Representing his teammates well and showing class, he didn't want to humiliate their weaker opponents.

The opposing team was made up of a combination of students from two smaller, rural schools. And not only were they undermanned to begin with but they were dealing with the tragic loss of, I believe, five of their teammates who'd been in an accident. Only four of the boys survived.

Thamail's team knew the situation going in and the way he ended the game speaks volumes, not only for himself but for his coaches and teammates as well. His team, Cave City in Arkansas, deserves credit and mention. Though their rugged animal nature allowed for them to easily win the game, their spiritually developed sides allowed them to do it with class.

Let them be a lesson for all of us.

Good day kind sirs and ladies!

The fax machine just woke me up with enjoyable news so in turn I hope to begin your days in an enjoyable way as well. And since the majority of you are spread out across the world I can't bring you freshly baked treats or a toothy grin so instead my amiable discourse will hopefully suffice.

But how could it possibly suffice? How could something as simple as a few pleasant and thoughtful words be of much meaning to anyone?

The answer is simple ... love feels good.

Whether it's the romantic kind, the type friendships are built on, the love that provides the foundation for families or the love of a stranger helping out another stranger; love always feels good.

And even one, warm-hearted sentence shared by a sincere person can alter someone else's day in a significant manner. It can leave them awash with positive energy. It can send their thoughts into a peaceful place. And that one sentence might be the only nice thing that person hears all day so that one sentence can be extraordinarily meaningful.

Now some people talk about auras. Others talk about karma. I think of God and his minions and their adversaries; the little angels and devils that can be sitting on my shoulders. And since I believe all love comes from God I'd think the angels cling to it like hungry people cling to a buffet. So when people act in loving ways I think they are inviting the good spirits, the angels, into their lives; and in turn into the lives of the people they come in contact with.

Simply put, when I hit enter and post this blog that's supposed to inspire people to share love (with even one, little sentence to a passerby), I believe the blog will reach each reader's eyes with angels attached. And if the reader's heart is open to the Lord then he or she will be surrounded by the good spirits and actually feel them and feel their warmth.

Admittedly I'm a simple man though. I'm pretty sure I haven't been to heaven yet or know all of the details on how things actually function in regards to angels sitting on shoulders. So if you need clarification on how things work just ask the angel on your shoulder.

And then ask him or her to help you go spread some of the Lord's good love to all the people you come across today. Go give the world a glimpse of how life is supposed to be. Then notice how your smile never dissipates.

My thoughts,

kenneth w.

People everywhere have an obligation to not only behave as decent citizens and not negatively affect others but to go above and beyond that call of duty. A certain portion of society MUST go beyond the call of duty because so many others are willing to do so much less.

Some people, for whatever personal reasons they may try to excuse themselves with, are only concerned with their own selfish pursuits and they are willing to trample on anyone that crosses their path. And even if you don't cross their paths purposefully they may have you in their sights (with bad intentions) anyway.

If you keep up with my blogs then you know that over the last few months a mother of a couple of my friends has been sick. Sadly she had to battle cancer and she spent quite a bit of time in the hospital. And being that she was a good and loving mother she had a loyal family that spent countless hours at her bedside in attempts to fill her last days with as much peace and happiness as possible.

And while they were in the hospital; someone else was plotting...

My friends and their sister have their own houses and their father shared one with his wife and two of their grandchildren. And with all the time he spent in the hospital I don't know if the father forgot to leave his house lights on and music playing, or if it's because he doesn't have a big guard-dog or perhaps there was someone who knew he'd be gone; but about five days before his wife passed away (a week ago), while he was in the hospital at her bedside, someone else was in his house taking everything they could find of value.

Talk about kicking a man while he's down...

A few months ago this man's mother passed away. And then when he's on the brink of losing his wife of forty-three years he get's all of his earthly valuables stolen (all the way down to his granddaughter's iPod).

If that doesn't break your heart then you might need to go visit the doctor. But I'm not trying to make you feel bad for my friends' father; he's a strong man and he has a good support system. It's just that this situation should be a shocking reminder to all of us (with consciences, moral aptitude and faith) that we need to ignite the world around us with as much good as we can possibly muster.

We can't live our lives and rest comfortably knowing we're not hurting anyone else; there are too many people doing evil things. If we don't more than counteract the negativity they bring into the world then the world will be on a downward spiral which will be harder to break free from with each passing day. And if future generations of children have to grow up in a depraved world because of our lackadaisical, self-consumed efforts ... well, I guess that would rest on each of our souls.

We need to get out there every day (in the big and little ways we can find) and help other people. Then help someone else and do another good deed. It's not a question of, "Should we?" Rather the question we need to ask is, "What good will I share with the world today?"

Current mood:  sad
Category: Friends
My weekend just started with a text message.

Now my nose is sniffly and tears are drying on my cheeks. Too bad before this note is through my cheeks will be plenty wet again.

The mother of a few of my friends just passed into the next world.

A lot of you guys sent prayers to this family previously when she first started battling cancer. It had her crying when she realized how many people were actually sending her their thoughts and love. She was thankful beyond question.

But she wasn't ready to pass away. There were still things she wanted to accomplish and other things she hoped to see her children and grandchildren accomplish.

Yet I know she's in a better place now. She'll be back in her prime again and surrounded by a world of good spirits. No longer will she live 80% of her life in pain. No longer will her family be forced to watch her suffer.

But no matter how many reasons I can come up with that would make it seem beneficial or part of the Lord's plan that she passed; none of these reasons will bring her back for me to hug again. That's something I'll miss for a long, long time.

With all the sadness I'm feeling, with all the memories of her that I hold dear, I can only imagine what her family is going through this morning as the news is sinking in.

So if I can be so bold and ask to borrow your prayers, for this family and everyone else affected, I know they'll be appreciated. And I'll owe you one...

Now it's time for me to go say my own prayers. I hope your weekends will be filled with a lot more smiles than mine!

Always,

kenneth w.

Okay, this is going to be a simple, little note.

(I thought I'd leave that description just in case anybody couldn't figure that out for themselves)

Are you LOVING life??

You should be...

If you do it'll love you right back.

And sometimes that comes in the form of Kenny Ken, or Kenny BibleRhymes or even k.w. or kenneth w.

So keep your souls open because I'm about to have a nice chit-chat with God and ask Him to do me a little favor and let you feel what I'm trying to share!

Are you with me?!
