PEOPLE IN PLANES COMPLETE UK TOUR BILL
With only days left to go before the Biff kick off their biggest ever UK & Ireland tour, we are delighted to announce the final addition to the bill.
Welsh wonders People in Planes will be joining Frightened Rabbit and the Biff in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. If that wasn't enough, we can also confirm Sucioperro will be kicking the tour off in style as they will be supporting the band in Dumfermeline on Sunday. As previously announced Fighting With Wire will be supporting in Belfast and Dublin.
All shows are sold out, however we do have one last chance for you to win tickets to Glasgow as part of a once in a lifetime prize.
BECOME A BIFFY ROADIE!
For all our shows in December, we will be allowing the great people at Invisible Children access to the venues to hand out flyers and raise awareness to end Africa's longest running war: the conflict in N. Uganda.
We will also be running a competition with them that will allow two competition winners to come along to the last show of the tour, at Glasgow's SECC, and spend some time with our stage crew in the afternoon, who will show them how the stage is put together and how a show of this scale is run. They will essentially get to be part of the Biffy road crew for the afternoon, before getting passes to meet Biffy and enjoy the show in the evening.
It's a really cool prize, and one of the most behind-the-scenes prizes we've ever given away.
We really want this story to be told, so now you can enter the contest for free by booking a screening of the movie that started the movement: Invisible Children Rough Cut. It's the story of 3 crazy lads who went to Northern Uganda with a camera and discovered an unseen war. To book a screening, send an email to London@invisiblechildren.com with subject line "Biffy." I.C. will send a crew to your school, university, or even a local pub, free of charge. Whether you help raise awareness through booking a screening or by purchasing a raffle ticket, the best part is that all of this will be used entirely to help the children of Northern Uganda towards some sort of stability, free from fear.
We'd like to take this opportunity to urge you all to watch the following introduction video to the work of Invisible Children:
Click HERE to watch Invisible Children: the story.
And if you can, please pick up a copy of the DVD from their website, or from one of the Biffy December shows... It's fairly heart wrenching stuff, and incredibly eye-opening. It will make you want to get involved.
BIFFY ADVENT CALENDAR!
We're nearly half-way through advent now, we just wanted to remind you to check your Biffy advent calendar each day. So far there have been videos from Helsinki, the infamous Reading Festival sing along moment, as well as some classics from the vaults.
Keep your eyes peeled to youtube.com/biffyclyro for more exclusives from the tour in the coming weeks.
