On this the morning of the last show of the tour, I wanted to reach out and say thanks to everyone who came to see us over the past 5 weeks. It was without a doubt the most successful and fun BLB tour to date. We saw a lot of familiar faces and made a lot of new friends including Combichrist, who we have made a blood oath to tour with again! As we prepare for what will surely be an epic night here in Colorado springs, I want to assure everyone that this band had a lot left to do and the best is yet to come. We have a record to find a home for this year and as soon as we do, we are putting it out and suiting back up for more. Thanks again, and we will continue to update you here throughout 2009 with news as always. P.S.- gotten a few questions as to what the name of the new song is that we opened with. It's called "How To Look Naked". We're adding 2 more tonight. "Your Head Will Be Rotting On A Spike" and "We Light Up"

We are touring in January and February with Combichrist in the US and Canada. Two things are very different about this tour. 1) We are touring as an unsigned band. Our former label (bless their hearts) I AM: Wolfpack have thrown in the towel as a label altogether and we are actively seeking a new home for our next album which brings me to my second point: 2) on this tour we will be trying out a lot of new material. That's right. Although there will be songs played off of Cruel Melody and Cover Your Heart, this tour is going to be primarily used as a proving ground for the new shit. One of the new songs will be released at the beginning of next year during the tour on an upcoming soundtrack (More on that later) and we'll be playing that as well. It's been a long time and this band is far from over. We're all looking forward to hanging out and having a few laughs and drinks with some familiar faces as well! These shows are going to go off! See you there!

P.S.- For the people who are writing about us not coming "here" or "there", we haven't gotten ALL the dates yet. there are still some TBDs out there in the ether, so keep checking in and we'll post again when we add more.

UPDATE: There ARE Dallas and Houston dates TBA

Lots of news coming next week.
Wednesday, November 05, 2008
Hello, Hello. Please allow me drop the first of a series of upcoming news posts. The BAD news: Our good friend and cohort Sean Fetterman, for reasons we are unable to disclose, will no longer be able to play with Black Light Burns. We're thinking of him and hoping the best for him wherever he is. The GOOD news: Bass duties from now on will be covered by no other than Anvil Pants celebrity Dennis "Jr" Sanders. Some of you may have gotten to know Dennis out on the road and some of you may even know that he's played a show on bass with us before when Sean couldn't make it. The loss of Sean is great, but I think our gain with Dennis is even greater. If you saw the one show he played with us, you know he's a wild cat up there and brings a lot of filthy swagger to the show. He's also a professional son of a gun. Thanks, -Wes
