Well, as some of you know, I was deathly ill about 2 weeks ago with a fever of almost 103 that broke 2 days later and almost NO VOICE. For someone who needs their voice to make a living, it is quite stressfull to get sick. I had to cancel a weekend of concerts. I am normally the type of guy who can and will sing through any sickness, but this was one of two sicknesses that I could not push through. However, to only cancel twice in almost four years is a pretty good track record, I think.
Well, praise the Lord, my voice is bouncing back pretty fast, but still working out some hang ups and kinks. Yesterday, I had a great practice, because I could hear that my voice is starting to bounce back. This morning was not the best. It was good, but lacking in a couple of registers and a couple of notes. Not fun, but I know it is getting their.
I was able to cheer myself up with peanut butter and toast. Yay for toast! In fact toast is one of my favorite foods, so in honor of toast I will recite this great and dynamic poem called....................................................wait for it..........................."Toast" author unknown
All around the country coast to coast People always say what do you like most Well I don't like to brag and I don't like to boast I just tell them I like TOAST yeah TOAST
Pre-historic guys who moved through the dregs They didn't know what went with the bacon and the eggs It must have been and Einstein that got it through their heads Plug the toaster in the wall and buy a bag of bread and make TOAST yeah TOAST
I Get up in the morning about six a.m. I have a little jelly I have a little jam I get a piece of bread, put it in the slot press down the lever and the wires get hot and make TOAST yeah TOAST yeah TOAST

Well, I had a birthday this past Monday and what a Birthday. Those of you, who have read my last blog, heard the story about my wife who cannot keep a gift a secret and always gives the gift before the actually day. Well, she has improved, but still has a long way to go. She completely surprised me. Even if I had tried this time, I would have never figured out her gift. She gave me a GPS system! It is awesome! She did very well. I mean, you would think that someone who travels as much as I do would have had one by now. But I don't. This is sure going to come in handy when I am trying to find the church I am singing at. The reason why she has a long way to go is because she gave it to me on Saturday instead of on my Birthday which was on Monday. Lol Go figure! She can just not wait to give people their gifts. Anyways, I had a great weekend. Jenna's parents came by to spend the weekend with us and we had a blast. They so thoughtfully gave me a grill for my Birthday, so we cooked steak and chicken on the grill and had a big dinner. Then we played our favorite game, Marbles and Jokers, and Jenna and I are the champions. We beat Glen and Becky 3 out of 3 times and this our time to gloat. Lol Glen and Becky, if you are reading this, we are up for a re-match anytime. Bring it! But seriously we had a great time.
