I sit here, after a weekend of watching football, stumped. After watching the MTV VMA's, and watching Britney Spears kill her own career, with jiggling rolls, and dance moves that make me wish I was watching Home & Garden TV, it dawns on me; Hip Hop isn't dead, its dormant.

In today's "RAPPERS" and I put that in quotes, because if you check every (major) album release in the last 12 months, only ONE is by a REAL RAPPER (Talib Kweli). 50 Cent, is not a real rapper. Kanye West, is a pop singer. Ludacris, sold his soul to the south. Jay-Z, in it for the money. Snap Music? Not rap. Crunk Music? I'm laughing. ICP? Hardcore Rap, not really rap. Eminem? In hiding. Joe Budden? Working on an album. Soulja Boy? Faggot.

If you turn on a rap station these days, you're likely to hear something along the lines of a new "DANCE FAD" or some gooshy-mooshy R&B bullshit. Songs along the lines of "Like A Cholo" by who the fuck cares, and "Laffy Taffy" by 4-way anal.

What happend to the real hip hop? The culture that defined urban america for so many years until people realized they didnt HAVE to rap about things that mattered, they could rap about anything, cars, money, women, drugs, guns, deoderant, it didnt matter as long as it was catchy. And that secondary version of "MUSIC" because it certainly is NOT rap, has taken over the urban airwaves that used to be reserved for real rap artists, such as Tupac, Eminem, Joe Budden, the OLD Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, and NWA. Even Snoop Dogg has fallen into the "lame shit" bin at FUCK-U-MART.

It's disturbing to turn on the radio, KNOW it's on a rap station and thinking to yourself "what the fuck is this?" Because anything even closely defining rap has been driven off the airwaves by this materialistic, sexploitive, ignorant shit. Where rhyme schemes are 1 syllable, and if there isnt the word "cash" "hoe" "rims" or "durrrrrrty" in the hook, it isnt going to sell.

Where did all the real rappers go? The underground sure as hell can't break through with real rap in a time such as this. Underground emcees such as Hard Target, DZK, Infinite Skillz, Jedi Mind Tricks, K-Nice, M-Gage, and others could release a CD produced by Dre & Jay-Z featuring new verses from Tupac, and it wouldn't even go gold, because this wave of ignorant music has brain-washed the nation.

And this bullshit is even starting to seep into the underground, I've never heard so many bullshit tracks on a daily basis, cruising through soundclick is like diving head first into T.I's asshole with Jermaine Dupri handcuffed to your eardrum while Bow Wow and the Franchize Boys snap the day away. You just want to up and shoot a motherfucker for this crap.

What has happend when Justin Timberlake comes the closest to having a somewhat respectable rap-cd in an entire year? This is fucking pathetic. Who signed these people? Who wrote laffy taffy? Which of you fucking idiots out there bought these retards albums, and voted for it on TRL and BET.

Speaking of B.E.T, it should be renamed, Black Exploitation Television. Because all day, its a non-stop loop of crappy music fueled by love for bitches, money and cars. The last good song to come out that actually had references to bitches and cars was "Still Ballin" By the Red Giants. Which referred to it in a humorous fashion, which is more than I can say for the steamers that BET serves up on a daily basis.

Whoever told Kanye West he was a rapper should be shot. If Kanye could rap, he wouldnt have had to audition for every label on earth, and wind up blowing Jay-Z for an album release. Yes, his music is catchy, yeah some of its even good, but its NOT rap. When the faggot wearing sketchers, and a napsack with a suede suit on is at the top of the "RAP" charts, something has gone very very wrong.

When Eminem is featured on Dirty South tracks, with a ratty flow and non-sensical lyrics, something in the space-time continuim has broken. We've all been tossed through a worm-hole to Rap Hell. Where snap music and 50 cent are the pinnacle. Fake materialistic braggatory bullshit rap. It's shit like this that gave me the idea for me and Hard Targets collaboration "ego trip" because every quasi-mainstream rapper has an oversized ego. 50 Cent is not the shit, hes a pussy who lives in connecticut so people wont beat him up. T.I is not a gangster, hes a former pill pushing jackass who got arrested and locked up for selling coke and meth. thats not being a "KINGPIN" it's being the kingpin's brothers assistants friends BITCH.

Real Hip Hop is laying dormant right now, in places no one would look for it. Virginia. Clearwater, Florida. Ohio. Illinois. Canada. Ironically the suburbs now contain most of the serious REAL emcees. Why? Because we've all been with hip-hop long enough to see through this bullshit phase that people are attributing to hip-hop. I'm a rapper, and I'll say right now that none of us would come anywhere near taking the blame for snap music and this crunk garbage. And as for all this KRUMPING dance bullshit, it's gay. Go be a fucking ballerina if you want to interperitively dance out a fight, faggot.

This shit is down right disrespectful to the name of rap. Emcees like Lil Flip, Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, T.I, Young Jeezy, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, anyone even remotely associated with Dipset, and every record exec in the business right now, is destroying rap. Destroying the culture built around rapping a story to a beat. Destroying the culture that came out in the late 70's based around rap's storytelling, graffiti's wars, and break dancings b-boy battles. This shit going on right now, is a slow destruction of a hibernating culture, that needs to wake up, and save itself before its decimated by impersonators.

Consider this my view on the last 7 years of hip-hop. The culmination of tasteless music, and untalented emcees getting the spotlight, instead of the emcee who raps from the heart, and is strong-willed, not full of himself.

Real rappers, stand up, because if we all don't, we're fucked.
