Just a quick one to say hello and to tell you about a newish Blue States album. 'Sum Of The Parts' is a collection of b-sides from all the single releases, dating back to the first EP back in 1998 through to the latest in 2007.

Just a quick one to tell you about a new track I've written for a charity compilation album. Amazon/Tribe - Songs For Survival features various artists using samples from the Bruce Parry Tribe BBC series. It's all in aid for the charity Survival International which you can find out about here http://www.survival-international.org/news/3710
My track uses samples from The Kombai tribe and is imaginatively titled 'Hello Kombai'. Other artists on the album include label mates The Go! Team and The Ruby Suns, Hot Chip and Mike Oldfield amongst others. You can see more details and buy it from the usual places

hello there
just a quick note to say hello and tell you all about a new album and single. the album is called 'first steps into...' and is released 27th August, with a single 'allies' released a week before on memphis industries. you can currently hear 2 tracks from the album on the myspace site and also watch the video for allies. some live dates are planned around the release date as well. anyway let me know what you reckon to the new tracks and video, more news to follow. oh and i've just made the perfect american pancakes...mmm
