I responded to someones request for a drawing of a box elder bug yesterday and drew an Art Card of one before breakfast.  The little buggers run around and smell bad but they don't bite.

I was looking at my fall leaf series and decided I needed to do more of them.  With only twenty one art card sized drawings done it's just not enough.  So I banged out a couple yesterday while working on more portraits.

After years of direct avoidance I decided to give portraiture a go.  This is a woman at a friends party, I don't know her but I liked her profile.  The photograph has lawn chairs and clutter in the background but does have a leafy green cast.  I kept the green and added a Blue Moon for contrast.
