Current mood: grumpy
I had the tooth before the wisdom tooth (the 2nd molar, I believe) extracted last night. Deciding I needed to know a little more about this set of ivories in my mouth, I wikipedia'd all sorts of keywords. One of the most interesting (and irrelevant ) conclusions came to me after I read up on baby (deciduous) teeth (I almost wrote trees, haha!). Apparently all baby teeth are supposed to be replaced by permanent teeth by the average age of 12. Since I only lost a few front teeth (basically my incisors and canines, and not even all of them), I still retain most of my baby teeth. What caught my attention was this "The deciduous dentition is made up of central incisors, lateral incisors, canines, first molars, and secondary molars; there is one in each quadrant, making a total of four of each tooth. All of these are replaced with a permanent counterpart except for the first and second molars; they are replaced by premolars". Since molars serve to help in the chewing of our food, premolars are primarily for transiting incised (cut up) food to the molars, which are for chewing, and the 1st and 2nd molars are always replaced by permanent pre-molars, I came to the conclusion that at SOME point in human evolution, our dietary habits necessitated that our molar teeth which were more suited for a herbivorous diet were replaced by PRE-molars in order to adjust to a less herbivorous and / or more carnivorous diet. I will load up a picture of my extracted molar soon, once I get it prettied up for photo-taking, LOL~

so Monday night I decided to go for dinner at Sushi Tei... and since it was already 9.45 pm all they had was sashimi and sushi, no cooked food.
as usual I went for slabs and slabs of raw fish... salmon, albacore, yellowtail... yum!!!......
until i got home feeling all feverish and sticky... when i got out of the shower i had a red rash in the shape of my clothes (yes, my clothes!) all outlined across my entire upper torso... my face was all red and swollen too... my arms were all itching...
so i called Dilun and he took me to the NUH A & E.
we were told the waiting time was at least 4 hours!!! omg... by this time the rash and itch had already spread to my legs and palms and feet... i was so blotchy and sticky and irritable...
best of all when it was my turn the doctor prescribed a nice big JAB for me... which I took up the buttcheek. IT HURT!!! The needle must've been at least 2 inches long and oh god when the nurse pressed the plunger I could fill the serum rushing and squashing into the tissues of my gluteus maximus and oh god the burning pain and muscle ache... I then had to swallow some very bitter pills. Ku3 kou3 liang2 yao4 I guess.
then of course Dilun wasn't allowed into the observation ward where I was kept... he had to sleep on the benches outside while waiting for me to be discharged. But luckily after an hour or so the doctor pronounced me discharge-worthy (no hospitalisation, yay!) and sent me home with loads of little pills.
Moral of the story: Don't eat sashimi at a restaurant when it is near closing hour.

Current mood: cantankerous
So the best paralegal in my world left for Manchester last Friday... 3 years of knuckling back down to her books to get her law degree. *Sigh* I told her I'd visit her as an au pair when she has her kids, like next year (hopefully!) Can't believe it was only February when we met and now she's gone.
Who am I gonna ask for advice on the world now?
It was like an omen when I met Aisah at the airport and Faisal's and her luggage was overweight... Makes me wonder if I'm supposed to heed and proceed on that with regards to the dude I'm currently dating. I bring alot of excess baggage with me into any romantic relationship... so maybe I should stop having any. Especially because I'm only 23 and have much more ahead of me than committing to something my heart's not in with. If I have a heart left that is, since Koochies ate it.
Oh bother.
