Thanks Literary Nymphs for the great review.
You can check it out: http://literarynymphsreviewsonly.blogspot.com/2009/07/koffe-with-cream.html* I tried to add it with a quick link, but I keep getting a "Sorry, you suck" message. So, you might have to highlight it and put it in the location box. Sigh.*

How come, in all the books I've ever read (and we're talking about a LOT of books), does nothing natural happen in them? On occasion someone will use the toilet. Usually when the heroine has been injured so badly that she must be airlifted into the bathroom and physically put on the toilet. NEVER, have I ever read that a heroine nixes sex due to her period. Me, I have them monthly, on time, like clockwork. The heroines in books can be with the hero for weeks and weeks and still not have a period. The only time periods are mentioned is if they missed one, or are afraid (or happy) that they are pregnant.
So, What would happen during the story if a heroine had her period during the course of the story?
Would she have massive PMS? Send him out for pads and Midol as she lays in bed with a heating pad? Tell him that this isn't the week for sex since Rosie is Driving? Will he sing the "Happy Blowjob Week" song?
Think about it. It's life, it's natural, it's messy, it just is.

Sitting in the van, with the doors open, at the school... (gonna have to go into the library soon, to charge the laptop), and did proof a book, so I'm getting something done. Should be working on my math. Imaginary numbers are soooooo cool. snort...yeah right. But I'm not. In my hot little hand is the newest Christine Feehan book. Yes, I'm a die hard fan, and I've been waiting for this Drake book since I read the first one, oh so long ago. Her books inspire me to write, so while studying math and for a test I have to take next Tuesday, Heck, I might actually get some writing done. I sure as heck won't get any housework done. Can't stand it.
So, as I sit in the van, contemplating going into the school library to charge the laptop, I am ruffling the pages of my new book..... MMM, yes, the scent of pulp and mostly dry ink...

I'm sitting here, minding my own business, when a bumper sticker that I saw earlier in the week flashed through my memory banks.
It still ticks me off. The bumper sticker was simple. It said...
Blessed Be.
Now, I know for a fact that the bumper sticker and the Jesus Fish don't belong on the same vehicle, which this one was.
Why???
Cause it's a freaking Pagan greeting.
Yes, ladies and gents, 'they' (generic holy organization) are at it again. Swiping Pagan religious acts of worship for their own. Take Easter. I've actually heard Christians ask what eggs and rabbits have to do with the rising of Jesus. Goodness forbid you tell them that it's part of a spring fertility rite. They freak the heck out. Cracks me up, actually.
But, that's a rant of multicolored pastels. Back to Blessed Be.
I guess if you can't wipe them off the face of the earth, then integrate their habits...
What's next? The Baptists calling for a Jihad? The Jewish celebrating Christmas? The Muslim skipping evening prayers? Anarchy will ensue.
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, true. And I absolutely believe that. I do, however, believe that to integrate hand picked factors, then condemn the other beliefs is wrong.
Okay, I'm not over it, but I think I'll end the rant here.

Which means I'm set up for a 4 day weekend. I love this semester. I only go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I get four day weekends.
Sadly, I use it to do the things I put off during the week. Such as cleaning. I hate to clean. I would prefer to sit, staring at my laptop with yarn wrapped around my fingers. The family tend to burst that bubble though. Hon, I need jeans for the weekend. Are my shirts ironed (and we know how I feel about ironing), THERE AREN'T ANY CLEAN DISHES!. Yeah, like I'm the only one to use them. pfhttt. Please.
So, on Friday and Monday I turn into a drudge and pretend to do housework. Not Saturday or Sunday, cause those are the days I make my hubby tote me around on the motorcycle. Until I can ride one on my own, he's got to be the chauffeur.
Oh, the glamorous life of the multi-published author. Yeah... right. Hm, maybe I need to let my family know that I'm a celebrity and don't have to do the crap work for them. Yeah right, and I'd live in squalor. Oh well, as they say, they will be gone eventually. My youngest is going off to college this summer, and I have one year before the other two are due to leave. They are in Community College now getting thier associates degrees.
Those will be the days. Only have to slave for the hubby and he has 'areas' that he destroys. Me, I'm a sprawler. I make messes everywhere I go. Set stuff down and forget about it. I've found coffee cups in the strangest places.
Well, it won't do itself, so I'd best get on it.
*gratuitous promo* Don't forget that Koffe With Cream is out at Changelingpress.

So that I don't clutter this space with other stuff, I made a blogger that I thought might interest some people. (Ok, one or two)
Nursing school is a go. Got my acceptance last week, and will have the orientation on July 9th.
If you find yourself bored out of your mind, or are really fascinated by a 42-year-old woman's trip through nursing school, check out the blog.

If not... well, I'm still writing sex, humor, and all that yumminess.

For those of you who read my M/M paranormals, I have a new one coming out the 26th of June. Changeling Press is offering Koffe With Cream to one and all, and I'm derned excited. Link
Second announcement: My birthday is tomorrow. Grief. I'll be 42. Third announcement: I was accepted into the community college's Registered nursing program, so will be starting that in the fall.
I think that's it. LOL
I NEED to update my webpage, and am working on learning Dreamweaver. I'll figure it out eventually, and then it will be shiny and new.
I'm still writing, yay, and should be in edits for a short for an anthology soon.
Other than that, school and TS4 are taking all my time. Freaking algebra.

Here it is day 3 already. Didn't get any writing done yesterday, darn it. Did get some critique-ing done for my buds, and worked on a proof job for one of my publsihers. Today... Homework, calls from high school best friends, more on the proof job, youngest's parent meeting for her Winter Guard team, and finally hitting the store so I don't starve, cut into my time. I did, however, actually put a FEW words to paper. VERY few, but the way I figure it is that if I put words down, and they don't suck, I'm ahead of the game. I'm not done for the night, but wanted to post before I forgot. I'm going to write a little longer (adding those numbers to tomorrows), then go to bed. Get to start over tomorrow. :) Count: 100 words. (it's a gain)
