Austin, Texas Sept '05 - Sept '06 Acted as Director of the Active Media Department at this non-profit dedicated to inspiring youth to live healthy, happy, active lives through technology and fitness programs. I was responsible for developing all aspects of the media department from its inception, including timelines and deliverables, hiring and training a staff of 8 media creatives, purchasing all equipment, profit and loss statements, and drafting development plans for future projects. I directly oversaw all video/audio/photography projects including promotional videos, recruitment videos, psa's, and web videos. Helped design, create content, and launch 3 different websites involved with our organization's mission to keep kids healthy and staying in school. Ownership of this small business has trained me in brand-marketing, ad sales, media planning/buying and corporate relationships with network affiliates and cable providers. PRODUCTION MANAGER (CBS / Emmis Communications) Durango, Colorado Oct '04 - Feb '05 Oversaw commercial production and station promotion at television station KREZ, an affiliate of CBS, owned and operated by Emmis Communications. I did some news coverage and editing also. I was directly responsible for all video production including writing scripts, budgeting, scheduling, casting, directing, shooting, editing, logo design, digital effects, and DVD authoring. Corporate setting provided experience in client relationships, brand-marketing, ad sales, media planning/buying, and deadline-oriented projects.
