Acted as Director of the Active Media Department at this non-profit dedicated to inspiring youth to live healthy, happy, active lives through technology and fitness programs.  I was responsible for developing all aspects of the media department from its inception, including timelines and deliverables, hiring and training a staff of 8 media creatives, purchasing all equipment, profit and loss statements, and drafting development plans for future projects.  I directly oversaw all video/audio/photography projects including promotional videos, recruitment videos, psa's, and web videos.  Helped design, create content, and launch 3 different websites involved with our organization's mission to keep kids healthy and staying in school.  In this corporate environment with over 15 full-time employees, I learned communication skills, client and corporate relationships, time and budget management, staff management, website development, and video production.  Funding was provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as the Texas Education Authority.
