one of my zillion jobs in high school was working for a small florist on weekends; mostly corsages but also some other arragements for weddings, as well as those hideous flowers glued to hats to hang on walls so popular in the midwest in the early 80s
so applied -- no -- it is LA -- AUDITIONED -- to be a designer at FRANCE FLORIST on Melrose for Mother's Day week, lo these 25 years later, and no -- nope! -- flunked
problems I saw with the arrangements: the one in the square vase was too lose for their look
the other one was 1) a bit tall, 2) I had to reposition flowers and some got bruised
also, I have a feeling I didn't use enough carnations, and used too many daisies

put dried blood around, put squirrel repellent around; squirrels seem to love it; have almost killed an Acacia tree (shredding bark, though we only noticed this AFTER I sprayed repellent on the bark) and a sweet broom tree (jumping on it, have snapped off half the branches)
now there's hot sauce everywhere... they've started on the gazania...

not that I haven't been writing, but not posting here the spectator is to give no clue nevertheless the artist will be able to tell the spectator calls them out it doesn't matter how disguise voice, whisper, shout, name the cards in French the card isn't in its original position as the artist directed with his voice, but not hands this is never questioned encourage announcing in a different manner, speak is a dialect or obscure foreign tongue shout scream or whisper the more vairiety, the more special

Art Pick Pink
By Peter Frank Wednesday, March 7, 2007 - 12:00 pm It's become an art-world version of one of those roaming dance-club parties, and it has a lot of the same energy and sass. "Pink," now in its third incarnation, has landed in Santa Monica Airport, and is cooler and hotter than ever — most especially with the little side room devoted to Art Girl–designed T-shirts (the sale of which benefits Women for Afghan Women). The energy extends through even the most nominally sedate abstractions. In fact, some of the sexier moments here are provided by Andy Moses' rippling strata of rosy-toned blues, Robert Acuña's brittle blue form shot through with a deep rose, Thierry Feuz's painterly fireworks, the large pinkish-orange light box of Daniele Albright and Stefan Lawrence, and Jimi Gleason's lustrous whirlpool of lavender. The spiky floral conceits concocted by Wendy Adest and Maura Bendett straddle reality and fantasy — and two and three dimensions. Rosha Yaghmai has extruded stitched-together wetsuits to find a pink interior. And to top it off, Katy Stone's duralar sheet wraps a narrow side space with pink spatters.

NOW is now falling into compaining about shock jock Don Imus' color commentary on the women's NCAA final, in which he made several typical racist and sexist remarks
don't they realize they are just rising to the bait? or perhaps -- what is the best way to consciousness raise listeners of Stern, Imus, et.al.? surely not by sending a petition to the station managers?
