Hey Everbody!

It's been a while since I jumped on here... alot has changed since I last wrote!  I just moved to Nashville full time and am finishing my last few courses of my Sr. year of school.  It's been crazy but fun!  I got to play fan fair again this year on the Chevy stage and it was blast!  Fan fair is awsome... and I am honored that I get to be a part of it.

I just got word from FHR radio that I have recieved their TOP CHART award for "Once I Have You".  It topped thier charts for 5 weeks and that was a record!  I cant' thank the listeners enough for giving me this opportunity!  I was so shocked but really pleased.... when we recorded that song, Biff, Nick and I  reallly poured ourselves into it. 

Biff.... your an amazing producer and Nick, what can I say... I am so blessed to be able to work with you!  For those of you who don't know... Nick is the lead guitarist in my band and he just got married!  But he's going right back out on tour the day after his honeymoon with us! We'll have to bring his wife home a bobble head from every state we go through!  She's an amazing supporter!

Thanks again to FHR and all the people who voted for "Once I Have You"!!  We are headed out tomorrow for all of July.... hope to see alot of you out there!~CHASE~

Hey Everybody!

Finally... I've gotten a bit of a break and first things first... I wanted to give everybody an update and some new photos!  I have had the best summer of my life!  The band and I have toured the entire spring & summer and we have made some great new friends!  From everybody in the Midwest to the Polish hitch-hikers in the desert, I can't say where I had more fun! 

One real highlight was making some new friends in Pennsylvania.  We got lost driving the bus back from a gig in NY and ended up in the parking lot of a fire hall.  For those of you who have never had the chance to attend a fire hall party... I highly recommend it!!  It was one of those chance... I call them "Divinely Inspired" moments... It seems that the people were throwing the party as a fundraiser for a lady who was undergoing treatments for cancer.  She was unable to work because of the illness and the town was really rallying behind her!  When we asked for directions they told us what they were doing... we ended up spending the rest of the evening at the party!  The band and I unloaded, set up and had a great time playing for everybody!  Before we knew it the whole town was partying at the fire hall!!

For those of you who read the last blog.... I got a truck!!  Transportation that is not shared with your parents is a great thing!  It took a while, but Dad made me save up for it and I can say... it really feels good! EBay is a wonderful thing!  My Dad, my friend David and I flew out to LA and drove it back... stopping at every side road attraction in between LA and ATL.  The Grand Canyon is truly God showing off!!!  One of the most mind blowing things I've ever seen... everybody needs to go once in your life.... just put it on your list of top 10 things to do, you won't regret it!!  Video is up on the myspace... we broke all the rules of safe play... good thing my mom wasn't there!  Just check out the new photo's and video, you'll see what I mean!!

We are taking a small break and doing only a few shows in Oct... "small break" translated means we are recording some new songs.  We just recorded an acoustic version of Back in Georgia at Quad Studios in Nashville and plan on cutting a few more soon!  I'm looking forward to spending some time with my brand new nephew... he was born while I was on the road.  I was standing at the top of the Grand Canyon when my sister called to give me the news!  Next to singing, I love being and Uncle!  Of course when my sister sees the photos of us on the Canyon edge... I don't think she'll let me baby-sit anymore!!

Well... it's been great checking back in with you guys! To everybody who helped make "Once I Have You" stay at the top of the FHR Radio charts for four straight weeks... I owe you a big huge THANK YOU!  Another memory I'll never forget!  I hope you guys have had as much fun as I have over the summer... send me some comments and let me know what's goin on.  I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you!!

Hey Everybody!

So as if this month was not already just the greatest..... 4 weeks at the 1 spot on FHR Radio, several great shows, a back to school party with a few of my favorite people from my old school and a family reunion with all the family... including a bunch of people that I had never met yet... but this news flash is the icing on the cake!

I GOT A CAR!  My first car!!  Actually it's a truck!  My Dad and I flew out to LA this morning to pick it up and we'll start our drive across country to bring it back to the dirty dirty south this afternoon! This is too good to be true!!

Pictures of our drive across country to follow.... keep checkin!!  We're stoppin in every state and I can't wait to see the Grand Canyon!!

I can hardly believe it!  Last week was great, but this is totally unbelievable!!  Thank you to everyone who continues to call/email in and request this song!  It is truly one of my favorite songs to perform and I am so thankful that you all are receiving it so well... I think everybody can relate to the story this song tells! 

Here's to everyone who remembers that one crush or that one special person that just seemed unattainable, but perseverance paid off!!

I am humbled to be in some really great company on these charts.  To even be mentioned on the charts would be an honor... but to be 1 is unbelievable!!

I recently had the opportunity to do a show in Lake of the Ozarks at a really cool place called Dog Days... I met a lot of cool people there and the show was great!  It felt good, ya know....

But the thing that sticks out in my mind is one guy in particular... a soldier.  He had just gotten back from Iraq and this winter he is going back again...

Talking with him made me think.  He kept thanking me for entertaining him and his friends for the evening.   He told stories about being overseas.  He told stories about friends he had left there and he told other stories about friends he had lost that were never coming back....

Ya know... he was thanking me for simply singing!  I can sing... about anything I want... to anyone... anywhere... because I live free.  I live free because of people like him... and countless others who are the ones who deserve being thanked!  I run into all kinds of people traveling and singing... they are all great... and they are all free.  Free to make the most of their lives in whatever way they define success... Wether or not you agree with war.... you have to support the people who are there, laying it ALL on the line everyday... for every one of us who gets to stay home and do whatever we choose everyday!

Today Michael... you deserve the big thanks!  To all of my fans... myspace is a  big world... if you are celebrating 4th of July... find someone to thank for living free....
