Sorry for the lack of keeping up with the blog. Not much into typing. Maybe they can make audio blogs. Yeah, that's the ticket! Anyway, here's the latest:
Summer to play at C &K's 35th Anniversary Concert. The four founding members have all agreed to be there.
When Kohala was in Memphis this past Feb. we had the privilege of hanging with James Lee Stanley and John Batdorf. They have been promoting their album of acoustic covers of Rolling Stones songs. You gotta hear it- hot!
Just finished engineering John Keawe's new project. Some great new original songs.
My new studio in Kona is finally up and running and I am making the big push to FINALLY finish the solo album. I was a man without his own studio for a few months (ouch!). I have been working out of Lava Tracks (Charles Brotman's studio) where John Keawe's new album was tracked and then mixed it at my studio.
Getting close to finishing Rupert Tripp Jr.'s project, a Christian album. Definitely inspired songwriting- I love the songs! Garin Poliahu (drums) and Dean Taba (bass) backing up. I'll be adding some guitar work.
Just completed Uncle Dave Heaukulani's slack key ukulele album. I really like the vibe of this project- live in the studio!
Kohala getting ready to release our live album any day now. We're in the middle of recording a Christmas album- demos and charts are done and we begin to track 6/28. Look for it during the Holidays!
