Okay, it's been a while since the last update. Over the past few weeks we've encountered further delays, namely financial difficulties, as we prepare to launch our debut 'The Brian Jones E.P'. The summer weeks are slipping by and we had hoped to have released it by now.

It's pretty frustrating to have the recording done for so long now and not have people hear it. It's not that we haven't been busy though, we've been practicing a lot, working on new songs and re-working old ones.

With the current difficulties we're not entirely sure yet as to when we'll be releasing the cd. So we've decided why not go back into the studio and record some of the new tracks as well. The current plan is to record three more tracks with producer Alan Dawson, which will bring the track-listing to 10, making it more of an album (depending on length). We're still going to call it 'The Brian Jones E.P'.

We're really sorry if anybody is disappointed by this delay and thanks to everyone who has come up and talked to us about it. The feedback has been great. We really want to do this properly and that is going to take time.

In the mean time we'll be working on an official website, photo-shoots, videos, merchandise and more. We'll be posting updates on the new tracks and the release date as soon as possible.

Hey all,
It's been a while since the last blog post so we thought we'd let people know what's going on at the moment.

'THE BRIAN JONES E.P' Release Delay
We had hoped to launch our debut E.P at the end of this month but due to a couple of factors causing delay, we've decided to push the release date back into the Summer. There's no major problems but pushing it back gives us more time to do all of the things we have planned. And it gives Ciwi some time to finish up in college. We'll announce the release date and gig dates as soon as we can.

FRIENDS ARE ENEMIES - New Track Added
To make up for the delay we've just added another track, 'Friends are Enemies'. This is not the final mix of the track but it's another sneak-preview of things to come.

INTERVIEW & 'BRIAN JONES' ON 2FM
The E.P title track 'Brian Jones' was played on 'TY Radio' on RTE's 2FM tonight along with an short interview with Ciwi. This is the first time we've received national airplay and hopefully not the last time you'll be hearing Chemical Addiction on the radio.

PHOTO-SHOOTS, VIDEOS & MERCHANDISE
Over the next few weeks we'll be doing a whole bunch of photo-shoots with Oss237.com, we'll be shooting our first ever music video and getting our first batch of Chemical Addiction t-shirts. As well as announcing gig dates so keep an eye on the blog for updates and the latest news.

Hey all,

For anybody who missed our first warm-up gig in the run-up to the launch of 'The Brian Jones E.P', then here's a look at what you missed on Sunday, captured by KilkennyMusic Resident Photographer Ross Costigan.

With Ciwi in college, we were joined on-stage by Alan Dawson (Producer & Engineer of 'The Brian Jones E.P). Cheers to Daw for filling in, great to see you back behind a drumkit dude!

Ciwi will be back soon and there's plenty more gigs to come over the next few months, so make sure and keep an eye on the blog.

Hey all,

We're delighted to announce that we've officially finished recording our debut offering, 'The Brian Jones E.P'. Working with Producer/Engineer Alan Dawson of KilkennyMusic.com the recording is now in the final mix stages with plans to release it sometime in late May. The exact date will be announced soon!

We're really happy with the tracks and can't wait for everybody to hear them. Until then we'll be doing a host of things in preparation for 'The Brian Jones E.P' launch including photo-shoots, warm-up gigs, interviews, our first music video and much more, so make sure you subscribe to the blog to keep up to date with all the latest news in the Addiction Camp.

well, i'm sure many, if not all of you know already. but recently there's been a few lineup changes.

now the lineup is as follows:

Ben Keating (Guitar, Vocals)
Ciaran McCarthy aka Ciwi (Drums, Random Screaming)

Hope ye get a chance to come see us soon, we have new tunes, and other stuff planned but sure we'll take it a bit at a time.
