So if you haven't noticed my Myspace page has laid dormant for quite some time. Mostly because there has been an unexpected change in plan. The original plan was for me to make my album and sell and promote the hell out of it and book myself everywhere I could. However, then I got tonsillitis and couldn't sing for several months... so that means no more recording, and no more performing. This usually means you are done for... well the lord generally laughs at our plans and this case is no different.
The last show I did before I was forced to quit performing to let my voice heal I mete with a woman named Jennifer Mendes and we exchanged information and I gave her my Demo(basically what I have on my myspace page) She called me a couple days later and about a month after that I signed on with her company called, "Jenn Entertainment". My agent is a very talented lady named Jannie Brod and she currently creating my promo pak and with very shortly begin to book my first ever tour.
So that's what i've been doing all this time. Talking with them and getting everything sorted out for website, tour, music videos etc etc.
I'M LOOKING FOR A BAND!!!!
I need a drummer and a Bassist!!!!! If you are interested at all, send me an email with your information and (if you can) a demo displaying your talent.
I NEED MUSICIANS BAD!!!
Also... as always please tell someone you know about my music and link them here I could use the help greatly.

****This is a small excerpt from a book I've been writing for about 6 months. I really enjoyed this part and i don't wanna wait 20 friggen years before I ever actually finish the stupid book for someone to read this. So I might actually reference something that I don't mention in this note and remember this is just a part of a full chapter on love which goes even more deeply into the word.
From my very short life I have come to believe that love is something more than what plain english would allow us to realize. Believe it or not your emotions are just chemical reactions in your brain and I'd hate to tie something to God that we know for a fact is Earthly and basically not significant. Those feelings are merely a side effect, or a human reaction to love and need. Its taught and non-instinctual, and usually not even a reaction to love but more so a reaction to an emotional supplement. Many times we confuse love with need. Needing someone is when you have some sort of gain from them being around and doing things for you and not learning to live without that regular gain, thus causing need. Like if your lonely without them, then you will feel as though you need them and then feel as though you love them. So when they come around you will feel the emotional reaction of them supplementing you of your emotional need and call this love, but it is not love. There are many different things that can be confused with love and all of them are a supplement of some need whether it be emotional or physical. Love is very difficult to describe seeing as that there is nothing like it. The best way to explain what it is is by looking at your priorities. For example, when you haven't eaten in a while, eating creeps up on the priority list until it hits #1 and then you eat and then it jumps right back down to the bottom and begins to creep up again. Everything is on this internal list because you have certain needs. Everything you do on this list is done for a reason. A favor, Homework, Exercising, Eating, everything has a purpose and a physical reason as to why you did it. In a relationship there is a mutual exchange of emotional and physical needs for one another. This can very quickly evolve into love but must not be confused with love itself. Love is when you begin to faithfully do things without any immediate or future gain. Love creeps up on the list for literally no physical reason at all. You don't gain from it. It exhausts you and you have and expect no payment or remittance. This is an extremely rare act and you may believe that you have done this before, but I'd like to point out something. Personal satisfaction is a form of gain. When you do something good to make yourself feel better(which is not wrong) is not an act of love. Here is an exercise which may make you think about yourself a little differently. Read the following quote and replace your name with every time it says or references love.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves."
The only thing similar to love i'd say is faithfulness. To pray everynight, to work for your family, to labor without seeking fruits. To love is to do without a earning for payment. Love is a very complex word and I am merely pointing out one of its many attributes. However, this is the raw meaning of the word love which is where all of the other meanings derive from.

So this wasn't the WEIRDEST gig i've ever done but it certainly wasn't the one of the normal ones. There was practically no one there... like the workers were like shocked because they apparently have like TONS of people there. The stage was AMAZING, with a full sound system and amazing interior. After about an hour, no one was left and the workers were dumb founded. Kayla was with me and I still have Tonsillitis so I let her sing a few songs. Then we went on the street and played for fun and passed out CD's. After the gig was, "Done" we decided to go get some food at Bangkok Cafe. Then we drove home and stopped at Meijer's and got Sushi and Swedish Fish. Then we hung out at my place for like literally 20 minutes and then I drove her home.
Regular fun night but something interesting happened in all that mess. I mete someone by the name of Elizabeth Mendes, she is a talent scout. She was very impressed with my show and I got her information and gave it to my Manager. Hopefully this makes things move a bit quicker!
Okay, now here is where I'm speaking specially to you and what I need from you.
If you are a fan of my music, and you want to see me go far. Then help me out. Don't get me wrong! I truly appreciate you listening and giving me kind comments but, if you like my music and wanna hear more and more then I'm going to HAVE to need your help! Go out and tell people about my music! You don't have to do it EVERY day just if you really like it, tell people you like it!
I'm gonna level with you all, I'm only one guy and I NEED YOUR HELP!
If you SERIOUSLY interested in really helping me out then send me a Message and i'll give you a few specific tasks that you can do in your spare time to really improve the advancement of my music.

Super sweet joint this place is.
I called the Flushing Observer to tell them about the show, I talked to them for maybe like 2 minutes and they like ran a whole big story on the night. I had tons of people coming up and asking about the story.
I'd love to be able to tell everyone how it went but my camera busted so i really can't say.
AJ's I'm on my way!!!

So... I was at Matt and Crissy's house just chillin and I figured I'd play some music for them. I went to go sing a song and then my voice did something its never done before.. ever. For some reason I couldn't hit notes above D... like literally cutting my vocal range in half. I kind of freaked out a bit but I wanted to maintain my cool so I just played songs with really low vocal parts. When I went home I just hoped that in would eventually go away if I kept singing... it didn't... it got worse. I was honestly scared that my voice would never be the same again. So then... i started to cough, and I coughed up blood... so then i knew for 100% that something was wrong.
I looked up stuff and it could only be one of 3 things. A tumor... EEK! Tuberculosis... AHHH!!! or finally Tonsillitis... So like a dip i went to work for 8 hours then I headed up to the hospital. I asked my friend Katrina to come along and keep me company. I did all of these fun tests and eventually a VERY attractive female doctor told me that I 100% had Tonsillitis...
Whew... dodged a bullet there! Alls I have to do is take some penicillin and then my voice will be all in working order after about 3 days...
So I won't have to worry about these two shows this weekend.
God Bless cd

So, my FIRST EVER SOLO GIG!!! It went well. I got a lot of good feedback that I didn't have to fish for which is always nice. We recorded the entire show so I can go back and watch how horrible I did haha. There were a few downers though... First off... it was TWO FREAKING HOURS!!! That isn't the worst that I've had to do, that's not as bad as Six Hours which was the most draining show that I ever had to do in my life. The second thing was that it was indeed a cafe and there were a lot of people already there that really didn't want to listen to music. That was also a good thing though because there were a Lot of people there who really enjoyed the show and asked when I would be back. The last downer is that for like 3 songs I forgot the words... ugh... I hate that... it was okay though because I thought I covered quite well with jokes and singing other things. Its always lame when it happens and I was sure that it was going to happen at least once during the show because I couldn't get all of the songs down for whatever reason.
So that is my basic feelings on the show. It was good with a couple downs.
That's what I got.

Show TOMORROW! AHHHHHH!!!! I never feel ready for these stupid things. But... OH WELL!
I got a set list and some lyrics for the IFFY songs. I put in a line and I'm bringing some chord sheets incase I need to add some time. Really, I shouldn't be too concerned, whatever I decide to do its okay because I don't have a partner anymore. Haha, really half the reason why I went solo was because I always got mad at everyone I played with because I wasn't in TOTAL control, and Now as soon as I'm solo I'm like Begging everyone I know to play with me. I'm sooo lame.
Oh well, This should be a good show, its a really nice place and there is always people there so I'm not concerned about a large following. Its funny how I started playing there... When "The Foolish Grins" were still together this girl named Kayla (Not the member of FG) Found us on Purevolume.com and she lives in the area. She said that she'd bake us cookies if we came to Saginaw... so we HAD to go. We did the show, it was fun, mete her and all her friends. Then the band broke apart and now I'm coming back because FG already had a gig in place again.
Well, anyways I'll tell you how it goes.

So today is my last day vacationing in New York. Its been a weird mixture of Awesomeness and Total suck! I was here two days and my car got towed... that has been a complete NIGHTMARE!
Talking about total and complete suck. We looked up the best burger joint in NY and I walked outside and then saw that my car was missing. I looked around it where it was missing and saw there wasn't any broken glass. So I called 911 and about 2 to 3 hours later they showed up. They told me it wasn't stolen... and gave me a completely useless number to call. Eventually I figured out where my car was at, the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The next morning we look up their hours and find out they close at 3 so we leave at 1 and spend 2 hours trying to find the place and eventually do but their closed. So I went up their today and I need tons of papers and stuff that I don't have and a bunch of cash so I end up calling my mom, she is express mailing all of this stuff and hopefully I'll be able to leave tomorrow without any problems.
But other than that its been great! We went to all main attractions and I have to say, my favorite part so far has been Central Park. I loved every bit of it. The music, the fields, the trees, strawberry fields, all of the famous locations! It was great we were walking along a path and then we realized that the path we were walking on was where a scene from an episode of Flight of the Conchords was filmed. Lots of fun.
And now we're getting ready to do a photoshoot, I figured I should while I'm here. I got my new suit and a nice camera. Hopefully it turns out well.
god bless cd

In the studio right now as Jake is doing some processing on the latest song, "Beautiful Eyes" I decided to change the title simply because, "Behind Beautiful Eyes" sounded a bit too cliche. This is a song I wrote for my step sister Chrissy and her fiance Matt. My last blog has the lyrics to the song if you wish to read them.
The song was inspired entirely because of eyes. They are truly wonderful things. And few people are blessed with having breath taking eyes, and both of these people do. Just amazing eyes. So when writing a song to celebrate their marriage, that was the first thing that came to mind.
The chord movements are a total different thing all together. Its a wedding song so I could just put some really happy and joyful... and boring music to some "I love your eyes" lyrics but i didn't feel that that would be a gift. That would be a job to be completed and accomplished. Love is about passion and I feel that if I wasn't passionate about the music then it would be a phony situation. I can say with absolute certainty that this is one of the most passionate pieces of music I have ever written.
Passionate music was never better portrayed than in the Romantic Era of classical music. So when writing a song of passion it almost always leads me to write in that style.
This song will Not be uploaded to the page until a much later date if I decide to upload it at all.
I hope you enjoyed this more Thorough blog. I honestly could talk about this song for days but I figured that for your sake i'd spare your eyes and brain and also the song won't be posted most likely so i figured you should know more about it.
God Bless, cd

Eyes are a wonderful thing,
They glisten, they speak, they sing,
And everytime I see your eyes,
I think about the love behind,
Behind those beautiful eyes,
Behind, Beautiful, Eyes,
And when I hold you, as tight as I can
I want to feel my love, as best you can,
And when the hard times come, don't cry
Because, I could never stand to see those eyes ever cry,
Tears Behind Beautiful Eyes
And I know they say love will never last,
I'd like to show them something, maybe they haven't seen yet
Before you, days were sad and long,
Like birds singing without a song,
And One day, in my sleep, I will die,
but now I know, I'll die with you by my side,
Forever Behind Beautiful Eyes,
